I think that is the name of it. They manage my parents time share and they told me that my family could use my parents points for Disney. Does anyone know?

It is probably Interval International (II) and it is the exchange company associated with DVC for it's trades thru the World Passport Collection.

Depending on the trade strength of the timeshare owned by your parents and the dates you would want to exchange, getting a DVC resort thru II is possible. There is a $95 exchange fee but exchangers can still use DME and even get the DDP.

Good luck! :)

Actually there is a $139 II exchange fee, a $39 guest certificate fee and a $95 resort fee charged by Disney. Total fees $273 for the exchange.

So I can use my points from them for DVC stays?

Yes, you can use your parents timeshare to trade into DVC. As long as it is not an Orlando week.

What do your parent own, what size room do you want, are you tied to a specific time period, and what resort are you trying to trade?

I think II has really strict policies against renting any trade. If your parents own the inbound trade, you might be able to stay with them, but not instead of them.

Incorrect....Her parents can purchase a guest certificate for $39 and put the reservation in her name.

But as far as renting, you are correct. II and RCI strictly forbid renting an exchange. They will strip you of your membership if caught doing so.

As Tom said you could potentially exchange into DVC but it would depend on many factors including the system and home resort. II does not manage timeshares, only offer exchange opportunities.
