Hello girls!

I need some help.If any of you have any info on Intimate weddings please share it with me.

I am going to call them on Monday and see what they have available for next May and then I will go from there.

I'm hoping to have one, but I may go with Swan and Dolphin...we shall see. I have to get a definite budget and compare the rest of my costs to see what I'm going to do. I want it to be special, but I don't want to get too expensive.

Best wishes! :wizard:

I am having an Escape Wedding on July 4, 2008. If you look on www.disneyweddings.com there is a lot of information about Escape Weddings, which helped me when I decided to have one. The cost is $4,000 if you have your ceremony at Sunset Point, Sunrise Terrace, Yacht Club, or Sea Breeze Point. It is $5,000 if you have it at the Wedding Pavilion. This website has a lot of pictures of the different sites: http://www.tazfoto.com/webhtml/wdw_locations.htm

Here is a list of what is included in the Escape package:

- Elegantly simple ceremonies on Monday through Fridays at 10:00 am, 12:00, 2:30 pm, 5:00 pm (except for Disney's Wedding Pavilion, which is only available Monday through Thursday)
- A fresh floral bouquet for the bride and a fresh flower boutonniere for the groom.
- An elegant two tiered wedding cake with keepsake cake topper and one bottle of Fairy Tale Cuvee for your champagne toast. (Approximately 6 glasses per bottle.)
- A Violinist for your ceremony and reception.
- A four (4) consecutive hour limousine charter for transportation on your wedding day for you and your guests.
- A professional Disney Photographer to capture your ceremony and reception.
- Up to two (2) hours of photography coverage which includes an album of twenty (20) images chosen by you. Along with the album Disney will also provide you with a contact sheet of all the images taken during your event.
- Two half-hour telephone planning consultations with a Disney Wedding Coordinator prior to your wedding
- A personalized wedding website.
- Two (2) Walt Disney World® Annual Passes for the bride and groom (beginning January 1, 2008)
- Online planning kit

You still have to book an officiant on your own and you have to pay for any extras you want, like bridesmaid's bouquets, Cinderella's Coach, Disney characters, additional pictures, etc. I am having Randy Chapman do my photography because 20 pictures just isn't enough to me. I have read on here that they used to do a honeymoon shoot instead if you went with an outside photographer, but I do not know what they do now. I have to ask my planner.

I hope this helps you! Good luck with your planning! :cutie:

I am going to call on Monday and see if they have anything availabe in the beginning of May. we would love to do May 7.I used Randy for our engagement photos hopefully I would be able to use him in May...I know he books up fast.

How much does Randy cost and does he have a website? Is he on a list that Disney provides? Also does Disney provide a list of officiants?

Randy's website is http://chapmanphotography.com/ You can view the pictures of Disney brides by entering the password "Ariel". He costs somewhere around $575+tax so it comes out to $619 or so. You get an album of 400 prints, plus a disc that has around 700 prints (all the pictures he takes during the three hours you have him). You also own the rights to your pictures, so you can take the disc to CVS or somewhere like that and reprint them very cheaply. I know he does have other packages if you want more pictures or longer time together, but I don't know any details. They might be on the website.

As far as officiants, if you start a wishbook through the www.disneyweddings.com site you can view a list on there. It is very easy and only takes a minute. I am using Rev. Jack Day. I know there have been others who have been highly recommended on the DIS Boards as well. You might want to search through old posts for more info.

to add on, randy will also custom make a package for you! he did this with us and we're getting a great deal!!!

We're leaving Friday so I'll have a lot more info when we return, but so far my planning has been totally stress free and easy.
Tanis and Rosie were a complete pleasure to work with. Very quick with responses, and so nice to speak with via phone and email.
They both love their work, and it really shows.

We've booked Rev. Kevin Knox as our officiant, and everything was laid out nicely in determining the ceremony outline.

I've also booked Janet from OnSiteBeauty for Hair/Makeup, and she's also been a pleasure to work with.

I kept the wedding at nearly the bare minimum as far as escapes go. Our only additions were:
The Mk Photo Shoot (morning of the wedding)
Extra Floral
and the extra drinks at the cake/champaign toast.

We are also doing a lunch at the Grand Floridan Cafe after our 10a.m ceremony with our families, but we are all on the DDP, so the cost for the meal wasn't an issue.

We came in with everything well under 6k (that is including officiant/hair/makeup/marriage license), which we were happy with. Though we will still add the Hi Res Cd once our photos come in. That will put us over just over 6k, but all things considered, our Disney part is much, much cheaper than the elaborate at home reception we're having Nov.2.

Best of luck with getting your date! I think of everything that was the most stressful part of the entire planning process since I had booked our hotel well over a year out and was dead set on the
24th.

Our Intimate wedding was nearly 2 years ago (our anniversary is Saturday) and all I can tell you is, it was completely perfect  It was exactly what we wanted - DH wanted a small wedding and I wanted a Disney wedding.

As for cost, things have gone up in the last 2 years, but for everything it was under $7000. That included everything we paid for:
Disney location, floral, photography, limo, coordinator, etc. (officiant was included back then too)
Rings (not including my engagement ring)
Marriage license
Upgraded (custom) cake
Additional champagne and cider at cake cutting
Mickey & Minnie chocolate favors
Additional floral (wand for MOH, bouts, corsage, and my mom's remembrance rose)
Extra decor for site (I brought in my own stuff)
4 room nights at WL
My spa day the day before the wedding
Meals - brunch "good-bye/reception" for 12 and dinner for 2 in Italy Pavilion plus breakfasts and lunches at Disney
PI tickets
My gown (my parents paid for 1/2 of my gown), my tiara, jewelry, shoes, etc.
DH's tux, shoes, etc.
MOH's dress, shoes, and accessories
Our Caribbean Honeymoon Cruise (non-Disney)
Wedding announcements and postage (I made about 80 announcements)
Tips (officiant, limo driver, maids, etc.)
Souvenirs/scrapbook supplies

We already had Disney Passes (APs weren't offered back then) so there was no cost there. We got our invitations and stationary for free through a contact I had at work. My in-laws paid for the rehearsal dinner and for the hairdresser on the wedding day. I did my own make-up because whenever I've had it professionally done I've hated it.

All in all we could have had the same style ceremony and number of guests for less at a local hotel, but I wanted Disney, and it was a perfectly magical day :cloud9:

Best Wishes on getting your date!!

Lyyyyyyyn!!!!

I'm having an Escape wedding, so if you have any specific questions, ask away.

I'm mostly sticking to the very basic package for $4000 at SBP on 2/4/08.

My only additional "Disney" costs will be floral (I have my phone meeting scheduled with Rosie for this Thursday. She handles the floral for Escape weddings.) I'm using any flowers at the ceremony location. I plan on doing rose wands for my moh and bm and then bouts for the two best men (yes df has two!) and my step-father and df's father. Then 3 corsages for his mom & grandma and my mom. I'm hoping to keep it under $300 (which the last time I calculated it out was totally possible.)

I'll also add additional beverages at the cake and champagne toast. I need to add two or three more bottles of champagne (at aprox. $50 each) and some water and sprite (don't know yet what the cost for that will be.)

We're using Randy for pictures. We've booked him for the intimate 3 hour package. That's $575 + tax.

We hired Ron Rosenwieg (sp??) as our officiant and I don't remember the cost at the moment. :confused3

Finally, since there isn't a "reception" included per se, we're having dinner at Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We'll be in the wine room which can be halved to fit a max of 20 ppl. The minimum is $2500 before tax and the 18 or 20% service charge. I've been given 4 different menus to choose from and I get to pick the level of alcohol service but it's bill on consumption, no a per person package.

Luckily, My mom and step-father are covering basically all of the above costs which I see coming in right at $8000.

My DF's mom is paying for our welcome dinner at 'Ohana the saturday before our wedding. She also paid for half + all the tax for my dress which I bought off the rack. It was marked down from $1800 to $600. I think it may be a couple of seasons old and it was hard to sell b/c you need a certain body type to pull it off. I really got a deal there. I'm not wearing a veil and I'm working on finding shoes. My seamstess is amazing and she's extremely inexpensive. She's made me sundresses before from scratch for $25/each. So I know she'll be inexpensive.

The guys are wearing tuxes from carolyn allens. They're $150 and that includes everything. DF wants a touch of a gangster/mobster look so we're adding a hat accessory and he's buying those for both the guys. So they're $60x3=$180. I'm also looking for inexpensive toy tommy guns as props. I'm thinking they will only be $10 each from what I've seen.

Our big out of pocket cost is our plane tickets and our 4 night stay. But we're splurging and staying at Wilderness Lodge. I think it's going to be something like $1070 for the four nights. We haven't bought plane tickets yet, but we haven't booked our honeymoon yet. We're planning on a carribean cruise that we had axed until DF's mom said she would pay!

We've been really, really lucky... Anyhow, like I said, If you have any specific questions, just ask! Good Luck!
