Did you go to Savannah. I think we want to do that sometime.
Not sure kid activities would work for us
DD loves kayaking though......wonder how it compares to what she did in Alaska.

We just need to fit it in somewhere. I think maybe it would be a good family trip.....so we have a bit before we do another of those. We just got back from one.

Bobbi, I thought I saw your post on the HHI thread. Is that trip finished? We're headed there on Saturday.

Yes, we left HHI on the 5th! It was wonderful being with the family. We did everything we could with Shadow and B'Lou! The loggerhead turtle session was great, it was informative and a game. DGS, 8, especially enjoyed that one. The other DGC went paddle boarding & kayaking.

DH & I will go ourselves, most likely fall 2013, so we can do local history things. We were there in Oct. 2009, and the weather was more conducive to sightseeing, for me at least!

We did go to Fort Pulaski near Tybee! FP is also near Uncle Bubbas where we stopped for lunch, DELICIOUS char grilled oysters!

It was just too hot for us to do much that day, but it would be great for people who are interested in history, with musket shooting and soldier marching demonstrations.

Also at Disney's HHI, you are right on Broad Creek, and there are fireworks over the water every week in season. We had excellent viewing of the 4th of July fireworks!

I'm busy with family things here in Cape May NJ, & won't be joining the gift card exchange, but it looks like a successful one!

I'm leaning toward September 30 to October 5 2013 for the Games Board meet! I want to ask DH just how social he cares to be. I may stay a bit longer with him at VWL, I'll be with the game players at BCV.

PS. Our extended family loved HHI that they are thinking of buying a place there, to use and rent out. The area has so much going for it!

Oh that would be COOL!!! It would be great to meet you!! I am the one set on Boardwalk...for some reason it just calls to me...Eva...STAY HERE!!

DH and fellow Dis'er says his second choice is Beach Club...or Animal Kingdom for the rest...but so far we only locked two days there... (BUT...they are SAVANNAH view for those 2 days...Hope I see a Giraffe... )

We are trying to see what every DVC is like and pick some favorites...
