Who is going in February????

Wow, the count is under 100 days now- no better way to spend our Feb vacation than at WDW.....:earsgirl: :earsboy:

i cant wait to meet some people!

also wondering if anyone around my age will be there..id like to meet everyone, but im going with a family i babysit for, so i would love to see some people my own age too...im 20 by the way and ill be there feb 5-12

Staying offsite at the Imperial Palms Marriott. Whole family will be there February 25 - March 4. Man - is it going to be more crowded than I had anticipated? Or maybe my DISer friends just know this is THE time to go to avoid crowds. Ummm..right? ::yes::

Righhhhhhtttt Mel...don't worry about all your planning....

My wife and I will be there from Jan 29 to Feb 5 and then I am there by myself from the 5th to Feb 12. We are sharing an illumination cruise with tigger12jb on the first to see the EPCOT fireworks (Tabetha - these are the boats under the bridges usually during the illumination fireworks are EPCOT).

I was wondering what else is going on for couples. Any big events for Mardi Gras?

Mike

I think the main ones you need to make PS's for at 90 days are the character meals, mainly CRT breakfast though if you want that. Check out AllEarsNet PS FAQ for more info.:

Since you're going after the Pres. Day rush, I don't think crowds will be bad for you. (Feb 18-21 are going to be big crowds!) We went the first week of March 2003 and crowds were LOW (it was wonderful!!) And yes, I DO think that DISers just know when to go! ;) :teeth:

The only thing I've heard that WDW does for Mardi Gras is at Pleasure Island. The Unofficial Guide says they have a Mardi Gras party there from the Friday before Mardi Gras through Fat Tuesday (so, Feb. 4-8).

My DH, DD 2 1/2, and myself are staying at ASMo from Feb 12-18. Thanks for all of the great advice and hope to meet some of you!!

Yes, I know my counter is wrong. We just moved up our ressies to get a better rate and I haven't figured out how to change my countdown yet.

Hey all, how are the plans coming?? I haven't thought much about our trip over the past couple weeks! I need to make a few more PS's... I hope the Feb. park hours come out in the next week or so!! :D

DH, DS, DD and I will be at POFQ Feb 11- Feb 18. So excited..... princess: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :jumping4:

Eeek, I KNOW!

Now that the 90 day PS window has passed, and most of our PSes have been booked, I'm totally twiddling my thumbs and wondering what else I should be doing! But naturally I've got one or two more PSes to go.

Still trying to decide if I should drag (not that he'd deny me this simple desire!) the DBF out to a Character Breakfast somewhere...

Have ressies for 2 rooms at Pop (DH, self/14 yr old DS and DB) ... Cindy's Castle Breakfast on Valentine's Day and Illuminations Cruise that evening ... dinner at LeCellier ... only problem is no airline tickets yet ... hoping for better rates

Maybe he'd enjoy a princess breakfast. ;)

We'll just be crossing paths! We're checking out of POFQ on the 12th and heading to AKL that day. :D

Just wondering how many people are making PSs for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner?? We are going Feb 7th to Feb 13th and are staying concierge. We have PSs for 1 breakfast (Boma at AKL) and we have one breakfast taken care of through the Sunrise Safari (at Tusker house at AK). Other than that I
havn't made any PSs. We will tentatively be at:

Monday - resort day (AKL), we arrive around noon and will not activate our PHs until Tuesday
Tuesday - AK
Wed - MGM
Thursday - Epcot
Friday - MK
Sat - MK
Sun - leave early for Pt Canaveral for our cruise :cool1:

So, I have breakfast Tuesday and Wed taken care of (Tusker and Boma), but I have nothing else planned. We are switching from AKL on Thursday to the Poly. Any suggestions from anyone, or should we wing it, or maybe take advantage of the concierge spread?

Help! :earseek:

Thanks!

I would definitely take advantage of Concierge whenever possible! :flower:

Of course, I've made several PS, but they're for character meals and LeCellier, and Hoop De Doo Review. (Not to mention that I'm a compulsive planner, lol.) We went at the same time last year and unless you wanted very specific/peak meal times, you could have gotten in on a walk-up just about anywhere. Even the character meals we did last time (Donald's, Crystal Palace, and Garden Grill) seemed to have a good many empty tables. We tried to make a same-day PS for LeCellier, however, and there wasn't any availability.

Thanks Tracey, that's good to know. There are a few PS's that I don't want to make yet since our schedule is not set yet, and wondered if I even NEED to make them this far in advance. Sounds like if we are flexible (which we are) then we'll be fine. The only PS's I've made are for CP character breakfast and lunch at CRT. I figured I'd better get those set since they're the most important. :D
