Who is going in April?

We'll be a the Dolphin April 20-23rd before heading offsite. NH school vacation is the 25-29th.

Do the DIS'ers still wear lime green? I was going to wear a ribbon and hope to meet any of you in the world or at the hotel.

I want to get a few of the mickey heads from Home Depot. I'm planning to attached them to whatever bag I decide to use in the parks.

I wonder if anyone will plan a meet during that time?

I have the same question. DD (16) and I will be at CSR 4/13 - 4-18. We wore the ribbons last time and had a couple of fun random DIS encounters.

we are going 4/14 to 4/23 - staying at the Shades of Green - first time there - usually stay at POFQ - having trouble deciding if we should buy tickets from SOG - don't know what discounts they will be offering now that tickets have changed - does anyone know if they dining option is available to SOG guests???? We have 8 adults and two teenagers going - can't wait - last trip was almost 2 years ago!!!!!

We will be there for 6 nights beginning April 3rd. Staying at BWV in a 2BR unit. Actually taking the kids out of school for this trip. Hoping for light crowds but will settle for moderate crowds.

Hello - this is my first post to this site. I had to jump in and say that my fiance` and I will be there from April 17th to May 2nd ... we're getting married there (outside of Disney, though) the day before the "real" vacation starts then spending the 2 1/2 weeks at the AKL-SV room. I reserved everything a month ago, so I hope everything is okay with these new changes going on. But, you'll see me popping in from time to time .. I have a million questions I'd love some help with .. but these forums have been near-PERFECT for reference material.

It's our first time to Disney ... I can't wait. I think I spend a solid 3 hours each day reading this forum for info (even went out and bought the "Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld 2005" a few people have mentioned here). Ahh ... why is April so far away?

Hehe .. thank you both. We originally weren't going to wear them (well ... it was more of a "I don't really wanna wear it" kind of thing, and she was to go along with that ... but ... after reading various posts of how the couples wearing them get "special treatment" sometimes ... I figured it's worth a shot. Plus, I've gotten over the "it's silly" thing in favor of showing the world that I'm with her and she's with me. Another plus is that it shouldn't be reeeaaalllly hot outside, so the hat won't be unbearable to wear for extended periods of time.
I'm still in the process of looking up some things now about positives and minuses for wearing the hats, but so far, I see no negatives. I do have one question, though - where would we get them? Are they in the AKL gift shop (I'm assuming there IS one, of course) .. or someplace else on Disney property (Main St. perhaps?).

I probably have about a million questions - I'm just holding back. I'll be sure to spread them out throughout the next few months. :thewave: :thewave:

LOL you will not have any problem finding the hats. They are everywhere!!!!
Also you will see many people with them on so you will not feel silly at all. We were there in Nov and saw quite a few couples with them.

No sure if this will anwser you question and also where you are from...

It is generally warm, and at times a little muggy.

Crowds, depends on when you are there. If you go during the "spring break" it can get busy. Other time I have heard it is not busy.

Depends on whether it's college or K-12. Here in Georgia our Spring Break seems to fall the first weekend in April through the 10th. That is the week after Easter. Some of the colleges start earlier, if you look on th eDisney site you'll see that thanks to that they have their peak season starting in February now and going through April. If you wait till after April 16 it goes back to regular rates, so I am ssuming that that means tha tcrowds are smaller then also. We have been in late May early Jun and the crowds were heavy buy manageble.
