Who is booked on next year's member cruise? Were you able to get your first choice? What was it? Do you have first or second dinning seating? Did you use points or cash? How many family members and friends are you going with?

My mom and I are were able to get my mom's first choice which is Deluxe Inside Stateroom on Deck 7. I wanted to try for a verandah but she said try for Category 10 first because of me putting out all the money. So we used points for my mom and credit card for me. We are on second seating. Right now it is just she and I going. We are waiting to hear from a couple we met at the 2008 Member cruise who lives close to us.

My mom has been on two DVC cruise's. I have only been on one. This will be her my mom's 6th Disney cruise and my third Disney cruise.

So whose going?:cheer2::cheer2:

Who is booked on next year's member cruise?
I am!!
Were you able to get your first choice?
NO
What was it?
Our choices Cat 8, 6, 5 we got cat 4
Do you have first or second dinning seating?
We are second dining but WL for 1st - our DDs are usually in bed by 8pm so we may have to think of other options.
Did you use points or cash? Cash - no points left taking my whole fam for DSis HS graduation in April - 15 of us!!!
How many family members and friends are you going with? It will be just the four of us, me, DH and our 2 DDs

It was mentally exhausting, LOL! But after 1, 1/2 hrs. just trying to get through, then 82 minutes on hold, got my first choice of Cat. 6, Navigator's Verandah, Room 5636. We had a choice of both dinner seatings, but chose second seating...just me and DH...leaving the kids at home due to just being in school. This will be our first Members Cruise, but 5th DCL cruise.:cool1:

You are going to love second seating since mostly families with kids choose the first seating. We like the DVC cruise better than the regular cruise because of the people on board. Everyone is more into Disney. If you do Palo I recommend not picking the day leaving nor returning. The ship is moving pretty fast. My mom and I went on our first DVC cruise and the waiter even said how bumpy it is and not as relaxing as the other days.

After about an hour of busy signals, and 75 minutes on hold, I reached a GREAT DVC rep who helped to book us on a cat 9, 2nd deck.

I wanted a Nav Verandah, but they were all gone, so were the cat 8's, but I'm extremely happy with the cat 9 and just to have gotten in.

Can't wait - I'm sure I'll have almost as much fun talking about it with everyone and planning it as actually going... (Note that I said "almost"!!!!)

TJ

PS - we took second seating also. Still deciding if we'll bring my 13 yo DS with us, so we took later dinner...

I was on hold for 75 mins after dialing for 2hrs and 35 min!!!:scared1::scared1:

I too had a great CM - we had wanted cat 8 and then 6 or 5 but 8 and 6 were sold out as I was holding and 5 sold out while I was on the phone with the CM so we took cat 4!!

This will be our first cruise and we are soooo excited!!!:yay::yay::yay:

S.S. Member Cruise 2010

SOLD OUT!

Congratulations to those Members who booked passage on the S.S. Member Cruise 2010! As of Saturday, November 7th, 2009, this voyage is officially sold-out. If you would like to be added to our waitlist, please contact Member Services at 800-******** or 407-566-3800.

I just saw this on the member website. Congratulations to all of you that were able to book a cabin!

This will be our first member cruise:goodvibes After an hour of dialing and another 1 1/2 hours of waiting on the line we got what we wanted cat 6 room 6540. It will only be 2 of us my DH and me. We are very excited, bummed a little the kids won't be with.:guilty: That's ok though;)
we are going with our family all 18 of us NYE on the Wonder. It's all good:thumbsup2

We got in too! This will be our first Disney cruise and of course our first member cruise. :cool1: I was on hold for 43 minutes which is clearly not as bad as some wait times others had. We are in our first choice, a category 7 with the navigator verandah  Just DH and me and looking forward to sailing on the high seas with Disney and DVC!!!

45 min of busy signals, 75 min of hold. 2 rooms in cat 6: completely worth it. I was hoping for cat six on deck 5 but ended up in 6552. At least we are near the elevator, was hoping for the less crowded floor.

Have two small kids so we went with 1st seating.

Are there fireworks on the member cruise? (for the ship, remember I have 2 small kids in the cabin:))

:scared1:..i didn't know agent~p ...had 2 kids,

are their names..agent pb & pg ? :rolleyes1

we're trying for this crew, 2+ princess:.

We are going! I managed to get a line at 6:44, then was on hold until 7:58. Everything was finalized by 8:36, so I count myself VERY lucky.

We got our first choice - stateroom 5510, because this is what we have for the Panama Canal cruise and we thought we might be ahead to check it out on a four day trip, rather than find out on a 15 day cruise! LOL! We have second seating. Used points for one and cash for the other. It will be my DH Doug and myself.

We booked a pre-vacation at Kidani Village, arriving 9/7. We stayed there for the first time last month and really enjoyed being there. (Our annual passes won't expire until October 9, 2010!) Try Sanaa for lunch if you have a chance. We love the tomato soup, the three salad appetizer and the club sandwich. Yum!

This will be our 5th Disney cruise, but first member cruise. We're coming up on our first anniversary of being DVC members.

See you all next year!

DH and I are going. Kids are staying home with grandma and grandpa. :thumbsup2

This is my first member cruise and I am excited. We have sailed with Disney before, so we knew what area we wanted to be in. I was able to get in at 9:02am and my wait time was 28 minutes.

I am going with my family, there are 5 (myself, brother, mom, dad, & my 7 year old daughter) of us in total and I got my 1st choice which was a Cat 4, Deluxe Family Room. We were also confirmed for Main Dining. I used points and cash. Since school will only be in a week, I feel okay pulling her out for the cruise. She is ready for the cruise, as she loves the Disney Kids Program.

My CM was GREAT, that is why I Love Disney.

Add us to the list! It will be our first Member's cruise also. I have to agree with everyone, it was a mentally exhausting process. I dialed for three solid hours on two phones before I finally connected. Then I was on hold for another two hours before I finally spoke with a cast member. (Who was great by the way. She was so nice and you know that she had been slammed all day with phone calls.) I was hoping for a cat 6, 7, or 8 - ended up with an 11 and waitlisted for the others.

It was fun to wait with my dis buddies - dopeygirl & the others who offered their encouragement. I feel like I should just give you all big hugs! :grouphug: Now tell me that I will love this inside cabin. As excited as I am about this, I am also realllly nervous about being inside with no windows. Do waitlists ever come through for this cruise since it is so special?

We had an inside cabin a couple of years ago for three of us -- me, DW, and DS -- and we thought it was just great. We were so busy we didn't spend much time in the cabin anyway, but it was comfortable and roomy.

Can't comment on the waitlists - I'd guess that since it sells out so quickly, there aren't many cancellations, but I'm not sure...

Like you, we're really excited and can't hardly wait until 9/10!!!!

We are booked for cat.5 just DW and myself... went for Cat.7 first then 6 and then was told at this point either 5 or 11/12 so what the heck go for cat.5 and enjoy it right !!! this will be our very first cruise for either of us .... and looking forward to it.... DDx2 were not impressed that they are not going...well told them both next time maybe but this time "not" :rotfl2:...(now keep in mind they are 18 and 21....)
