Who is at work but cannot get a thing done?

I came in at 8:00 and haven't gotten a thing done!!! Our office holiday party is today so people are flitting about exchanging gifts, gabbing, checking on the food in the kitchen, etc. Today is going to be a total loss as far as accomplishing anything... Not that I'm complaining mind you

Who else is at work but only thinking of everything they have to get done over the weekend???

We use to have this issue, where our office was open, but just until 12:30 on the last business day before Christmas and New Years. Like you mentioned, it was a waist of time because many of our customers were off and nothing got done and most of the staff was either in the kitchen or talking with each other. So starting this year, they decided to give us the last business day before Christmas and New Years off.

Me! Besides having Christmas on the mind I have a sinus headache so it is hard to concentrate. I think I just sent out duplicate bills to patients

I'm here at the office too.

We are in a business complex with lots of other businesses - my car is the only one in the parking lot.

I'll be here until 5:00pm unfortunately and yes I have tons of things to do before Xmas including stopping at Sam's club on the way home.

I have already made a quick erand run so I didn't have to fit that into my lunch.

I have talked to DH several times about the Angel Tree family at church. (Our committee is wrapping the presents now and we were in charge of buying the gifts, so he was asking who got what, etc.)

We had our lunch/party yesterday, but we are working on the left overs today. My manager is leaving w/ in the hour and the only other management that will be here wont pay any attention to us.

I have done well w/ getting our gifts wrapped, but still had DFIL's to do. (3 puzzles) I brought them and some wrapping paper w/ me and will do them this afternoon. If I get what I want at lunch, I will probably wrap them too.

I do have a bit of work to do, but I am not too worried about it. Of course, I have to answer the phone, but it isn't ringing much!!

Definitely me. I'm the only one here this morning. I have lots I could be doing, but nothing that has to be done before January. I have answered the phone twice, though.

I'm not getting anything done, well, not much anyways. I in this morning so I can drive on out of here in 25 minutes for a nice long weekend and I've pretty much given up on work. Who wants a cold one?

Opposite of the OP.... DH's been working insane hours (like 60 hours a week) for several weeks, so he worked 30 hours on Monday and Tuesday and decided to take the rest of the week off. Wouldn't you know it, they couldn't live without DH at work and he had to go in today...
