Who Invited My Mother In Law? A Moderately Deluxe TR All New X 3 & PTR Link 2/3 !!

I loved the BBB posts!! Maddie is so adorable!! What a fun post! My Madison is a bit too old for that and even if it is expensive I was I had a little girl to throw away my money for at BBB!!! ;):rotfl:

I have been reading along, but don't think I have posted here. So hello! :wave2: I have really enjoyed reading about y'all's adventures in Disney. My niece is only 13 months old but she seems to be a princess-in-training already! I can totally see someone (*ahem her aunt ahem*) taking her to BBB when she's older! ;)

I don't think my dd knows that we paid for it. After she was all done up, we paid our bill, but she was already outside with my mother and mil while Disney made their fast buck on me :lmao:

The t shirt is actually a surprisingly great value imo, it was only $15! One of the least expensive shirts I have seen on property! I liked how there was also a princess trading pin attached to the gift bag w/ all of her extra makeup & goodies. Even though it's expensive, I do feel like we got a lot for our money. First, the experience itself, but also quite a few tangible items to take home too. And as you said in another response, the dresses are a really nice quality. Dd's was used for the full day in the park and several times for dress up around the house so far, and it still looks brand new. The shoes (glittery pink Sleeping Beauty) are in pretty rough shape, but they served their purpose!

I'd love to have gotten the T-shirt. I actually didn't even see it until I looked at the pictures. I probably would have gotten it if I had. She'd wear it all the time.

Maddie's dresses look great too. The shoes do look a little worn, but they made it through 4 park days and countless hours of play at home.

I think you definitely get a lot for the money. :thumbsup2

I am in Palos Heights which is east of Plainfield. We are about 30 minutes away!

Lisa

What a small world! Hi neighbor! :wave2:

Well, I did call but they had absolutely nothing available on the days we'll be in MK. :sad2: But, I think I'm going to try & do it for him on the Fantasy next May. Did you know that the Fantasy has a BBB? The boys can get pirate makeovers at the BBB on the ship. I bet Maddie would love to try out the BBB on a ship. :rolleyes1 Am I doing a good job of convincing you to set sail with us next May?

That's too bad that there weren't any appointments available, but it sounds like lots of fun for the cruise.

I have looked at the BBB on the ship! Have you seen those amazing packages? I want to go there!

You're doing a GREAT job convincing me, now I just have to convince the checkbook! :lmao:

I feel like a broken record but I just have to say it...Maddie looks so adorable! I wish they had had BBB when Lacey was younger.

Thank you so much! BBB is so great, I wish that everyone could take a little one. Maybe you'll get to take a granddaughter soon? That'd be so amazing!
(poor Lacey, I don't even know her and I'm hassling her to give you grandbabies! :lmao::lmao:)

Maddie makes an adorable princess! I hope I can take my niece sometime...she is so girly girl now at 3 and I know she would love it! Glad you are ditching your MIL soon!

Jill in CO

Thank you! It's so fun, I hope that you'll get to take her!

I am really enjoying reading your TR. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait until DD is old enough to be into dress up. Already at 21 months she is wants to carry a purse which is more than I get from her brothers, so I have hope that it is coming! Now she just needs to grow a little more hair.... :rotfl:

Thank you so much! Thanks for reading!

That's so cute! Watch out though, Maddie started stealing MY purses when she was 2 1/2!

Maddie was almost bald until she was 3, it'll grow!

Pirates League is really fun. I don't know, give Maddie a few years she may surprise you and want to do it!

I hope that she might want to go when she's older, it looks great. For now though, it's where she thinks that bad girls go instead of BBB :rotfl:

The other day I said something about Disney and going again and my mom said, "You should really take a break from there." Oh boy, are those fighting words!:lmao: She just keeps talking about how we need to do this or that, I'm like are you serious? How we want to spend our money is our business.:rolleyes1 Besides when you really look at a Disney vacation and break it down the cost is really not that bad. Anyways rant over!

Uggghh! I hate that! I always get the "again?" response when I say we're going to Disney. Not like I asked anyone where they thought we should vacation or asked them to chip in! :rotfl:

I don't think Disney is expensive overall. We took a 5 day trip to Philly 3 years ago (drove) and it cost the same as our 5 day trip to Disney (flew). Plus, it was so much less stressful because we never had to leave property! 'Cause driving in downtown Philadelphia? Not. Fun. At. All.

I loved the BBB posts!! Maddie is so adorable!! What a fun post! My Madison is a bit too old for that and even if it is expensive I was I had a little girl to throw away my money for at BBB!!! ;):rotfl:

Thank you so much! I'd throw my money away there any day! Too bad it wasn't around for your Madison, you'd have loved it!

Thank you for joining in! HI! :wave2:

Ohhh, you'll have so much fun spoiling your niece at Disney! You HAVE to take her to the BBB!!! Every little princess should get to try it!

That's too bad that there weren't any appointments available, but it sounds like lots of fun for the cruise.

Yeah, I was bummed that they didn't have anything. But, hopefully I'll be able to do it for him on the cruise for Pirate night.

They have some amazing packages! I am really happy that even though it is called BBB that they still included Pirate makeovers for the boys.

You're doing a GREAT job convincing me, now I just have to convince the checkbook! :lmao:

You wouldn't be the 1st person I talk into Disney cruising. :rolleyes1 Here's the strategy I used when trying to convince Ed to go on the Dream last May: wait until he's watching a REALLY important sporting event, then go & start asking him if he wants to do this Disney cruise & start listing all the reasons of why it'll be so great. He'll be so eager to watch his game & shut you up that he'll quickly say, "Yes! Just book it!" :lmao: And yes, that is honest to goodness how I talked Ed into our 1st cruise.

Oops....you said Bryan reads this sometimes right? Dang....I should've PM'd you. :rotfl2: Okay, Bryan, if you're reading this..........book the cruise! You won't regret it! :thumbsup2

That'd be awesome for Pirate Night! How fun for a little boy!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: He's wants to cruise, but he also wants to skip a vacation this year.

My strategy is usually to wear him down. If I mention it often enough and find a way for it to work financially, he usually gives in. That's how the April trip happened! :lmao: I honestly don't think he regrets it later though.
:thumbsup2

Besides that one time I was sneaky with convincing Ed to cruise.......I do usually approach him with the basics: when, where, how much, how we can afford it. Since I started staying at home with Reid 2 years ago, I do sometimes feel guilty about planning these vacations that I know Ed will have to work hard to pay for. But, he says he doesn't mind and he does love our vacations. Vacations have always been a priority to us ever since we got married. It's good to have that time away from home & the every day stuff to help you re-energize.

The other day, Reid & I were on our way home from swim lessons. I jokingly said to him, "Hey! How about we just go to Disney instead of going home?" His response was "No Mommy! We need the countdown calendar to say zero." I said, "You're right Reid. Plus we should wait for Daddy to be able to come with us." He says, "Well yeah. We need him to pay for Disney World." :lmao:

click only if you want to know how to beat buzz lightyear. (where the "easter eggs" are) IMO, knowing these makes the game less fun. and I agree, I can never tell which is my dot anyway. but I do manage to get the robot arm in the first room alot (unless nebo is controlling the car;))

maddie is just SO cute!love the pose on the preschool gradualtion. actually, she has that rare ability to be both cute AND pretty! so.. what is she doing in about 20 years? our grandson jackson is quite the looker!

(um, you're paying for the disney wedding, right?)

Love love the BBB photos! What a wonderful experience and worth every dollar, honestly if you can do for your children, you do! It's what mommies and daddies are for! Nothing compares to that feeling you get when your child is amazed or excited or happy! :) I cannot wait for my DD to be old enough to go (she will be only turning 2 on our next trip!)

Oh and no one should be talking of breaks from Disney, that's just wrong  There is so much for everyone to enjoy!

And all this cruise talk has me thinking too! :rolleyes1

That is too funny about bad girls going to Pirate League!:rotfl2:

My mom thinks that if I speak it means please interject all your opinions now.:rotfl: Oh well. My dad used to live in Philadelphia and I know I wouldn't want to be driving around there! But I get lost in the town I have lived in for basically all my life so I probably shouldn't drive anywhere.

That is too adorable.:goodvibes

I don't want to spoil it, but I had to get the Better Business Bureau involved over the new FastPass return times policy. I was really angry when I missed my return time for Splash Mountain.

Wow, I thought I was doing a pretty good job keeping up, but I must have missed this entirely. Details, please!

I'm joining in...I'm loving all your pictures! Especially all your pictures of Tusker House! We are eating there for the first time in December and I've been on the fence about eating there since people either love it or hate it. (We have a goal to eat at all the restaurants...so it's inevitable that we'll get there eventually.) Last night I sat on my iPad showing DH all your pictures. We're both excited! I can't wait till our daughter is big enough to do BBB. DH on the other hand is glad that he has at least two more years to wait see her all dressed up...I think the last trip we took he told me his wallet was grateful as well. :rotfl: Maddie was precious all dressed up like Jasmine.

Thanks! I'll check it out, I can never beat Bryan! I bet I won't be able to do it even if I watch the video 700 times anyway!

At least I am usually in the car with Maddie and I beat her!

Thank you! She's a princess all the time. Jackson is adorable, we should set them up when they finish grad school. (I think that's the earliest that Bryan will let her date):rotfl:

:lmao::lmao: It's got to be a Disney wedding doesn't it? I mentioned to Bryan the other day how much it costs. It's crazy!

DH really needs to drop the "break from Disney" stuff. It just encourages me more. :lmao:

I'd love to do DCL, but I'm afraid to give up my park time too.

:lmao::lmao: She told her grandma that too, she must really believe it.

My mom is pretty much the same. The other day I mentioned that we might have found a church we'd like to try out near the new house (DH isn't terribly into religion so this is a big step) and for the next 15 minutes I had to hear her go on and on about how we need to go to church. :sad2: She drives me crazy sometimes. :lmao:

I can totally see how this would be confusing. I'm really sorry.

Nebo and I have "comic" relationship. He was teasing me about the BBB being the Better Business Bureau, and I was just playing along. Sorry about the confusion. Lets blame him.

Thank you so much for joining in!!

We really loved Tusker House. The place itself is so cool and fun to look at! And the food was amazing! I really hope that you guys like it as much as we did. You'll have to let me know!

BBB is so much fun! I totally understand Daddys (and their wallets) not being in a hurry for their little girls to grow up.

Coming out of lurkdom! Your TR is fabulous! Especially this last update, those photos of your DD from Castle Couture are just precious - I know there's about a year in my childhood where every photograph of me displays every.single.one.of.my.teeth. No exaggeration. Can't wait for more!

Thanks so much for joining in! And thank you for that! Yours is my favorite post of the day!!!

That's so funny! I'm pretty sure all kids go through that phase, but it's killing me as the person who has to take 75 pictures to get a good one! :rotfl:

I'm gonna check out your TR now, don't be a stranger!

We try to make vacations a priority as well. My family didn't get to take them growing up, so it means a lot to me that we do.

That's pretty much like us. Ed's family didn't really do vacations growing up either. I think they went to Disney once. He was so young he really doesn't remember it - Epcot wasn't even open yet. My dad & stepmom tried to take us on summer vacations when they could. I hope we're blessed enough that we can continue to do these vacations for our little family. It really does give us so many wonderful memories & such special bonding time.

Bryan rarely disagrees with me if I can present a valid case for something. With the vacations, he feels like we should do every other year, but if I can show him that the finances will work he's in.

Ed's the same way - he's very laid back so I usually get my way. :rotfl: It's when I start adding on to the vacation or upgrading something that I usually go in with a point to prove.

That's hilarious! Poor Daddy :rotfl:

Last night, Reid told Ed that if he will continue to pay for Disney vacations for us, Reid would pay for himself to go to LSU when he's a big boy. :rotfl: Poor kid doesn't know what kind of deal he was making there. On the other hand, Ed was quite happy with that deal. :lmao:

I'm back and caught up.

What a rude person from New Jersey that was (kind of like the "jerk" on the elevator with me yesterday when he said "I guess I should start following the Sox again since they are doing well; I said, "not me." He asked if I was not a baseball fan? I said, "yes, I'm a Cubs fan." He replied, "I'm sorry". If I had been quick enough I would have said: "at least I'm not a fair weather fan that ONLY follows when the team is playing good).

Anyway, I agree...the Stitch ride is awful (it fits right in with Carousel of Progress for me...two things I really despise at the MK). It was awful when it was Alien too.

I just ate up Maddie's time at the BBB. How absolutely beautiful our new little Jasmine is (and tell Dad to lighten up...it will only get worse as she gets older so he should prepare himself ;) ).

I love the photo of Princess Jasmine lounging on the chair.

(and tell Dad to lighten up...it will only get worse as she gets older so he should prepare himself ;) ).

lol! Very True! I have worked in a stadium for the last 17 years and if I had a Penny (yes a PENNY) for every kid that dad drops off looking prim and propper and then makes a bee line for the washroom and comes out looking like a trashy music video extra I would be retired by now.

You have some of the best ideas! What a great way to tell your DD about going to BBB!!!!!!! :cheer2:

LOVED the BBB post! Little girls sure do love being treated and dressed up like princesses (but who doesn't) :rotfl2:! Our flower girl did BBB the morning of our dress rehearsal and she was still gliding on air that evening. She too picked out the Jasmine shoes and they made an appearance at the reception.

I've been kinda skipping around and mostly reading backwords,,, I mean backwards,,,,and I'm out of time right now,, but I can't wait to get back on tomorrow and figure out why everyone is raving and can't wait to hear more about your experience with the Better Business Bureau.
But I know you are terrific as a writer,, so there must be something cool in it. Oh, and I also need to know why Frank Gorshin who played the Riddler is delivering invitations. Or should that have been Frank Gifford?

I don't want to spoil it, but I had to get the Better Business Bureau involved over the new FastPass return times policy. I was really angry when I missed my return time for Splash Mountain.

Wow, I thought I was doing a pretty good job keeping up, but I must have missed this entirely. Details, please!

nebo is like the little old lady who causes an accident and keeps driving.!! I take no responsibility for him whatsoever. (half the tme I just pretend I don't know him;))
