Who invited Milton to her 21st Birthday?? An October 2024 Trip Report---UPDATED September 22nd!

I just got back from a quick 3-night cruise on the Wish
Nice! Hope it was a good cruise. :)
IMG_5406.jpeg
I see shorts and T-shirts... but too cold for your mom.
Fun ride...definitely not as good as Splash but still fun.
I keep hearing mixed reviews.

Some day...
we had breakfast at 'Ohana to get to.
Huh! I'm not sure I've heard of this. I of course know about the dinner, but didn't know about brekkie.
This bread is incredible 😋
Sure looks it.
We definitely went through a couple trays of these...
 Of course you did!

At the time Ava was a huge Stitch fan
Glad she got a hug in. :)
everything was so delicious, we all loved it.
Good to hear! I'd heard so many bad reviews over the last few years, it's nice to finally be hearing some positive ones.
Mike's favorite part of any breakfast...

Was that a Bloody Mary?
I think that's one of the reasons I liked this breakfast so much was that the characters
weren't in a huge rush and we were able to get lots of cute pics.
Nice. :)
After breakfast we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and while I was walking through the tunnel I hear, "Kelly?"
I turned around to see the famous Kari @katstoney!
Wonderful! DIS meets are great, but an unexpected one is maybe even better. :)
Some of you will for sure remember her from here because she wrote the best, funniest reports on the Dis in the Dining Reports section!
Unfortunately, I didn't know she wrote there, but I am familiar with her (screen) name.
I was lucky enough to be her roomie on our EPIC Dis-meetup trip in 2019 and she is just as kind and funny in real life.
:goodvibes
it took us about 6 minutes
with our LL to board our Pirate ship...
Quick! Especially as it looks like the line stretches outside.
Clay loved this...if I recall correctly, he likes it better than Cosmic Rewind which I think is crazy!
Really!
I like it well enough but it's really just too short of a ride.
::yes::

I’m here just getting back into everyday life after my end of summer trip with Andi. I love LeHalles the food is so yummy. The frozen Rose is really good there.
I also love WBG and you had all my favorites. I have had the chicken salad at WBG and George himself delivered it to me at brunch! He is super nice!

I see shorts and T-shirts... but too cold for your mom.

Always! She's cold when it's 90 degrees outside! And forget it inside with AC on...:cold::cold::cold:

Some day...

Soon I hope??

Good to hear! I'd heard so many bad reviews over the last few years, it's nice to finally be hearing some positive ones.
I think the dinner gets bad reviews now mostly because for years it was so good...definitely has declined in the last few years.

Was that a Bloody Mary?
Yes, his favorite! :drinking1

Unfortunately, I didn't know she wrote there, but I am familiar with her (screen) name.
I don't spend too much time there but I am so happy I found her there years ago. Truly made me LOL reading!

Quick! Especially as it looks like the line stretches outside.

It was a busy day! We did okay with our LL's though!

Welcome back! I hope you had an amazing trip!!

The frozen Rose is really good there.
I'll have to try that!

That is so cool! I follow him on Tik Tok and he seems so sweet. I've never met him before, maybe someday!

These aren't exaclty in order but my mom, Allie, and Clay and I went on Seven Dwarfs ,
IMG_5588.jpeg

Everyone went on Haunted Mansion...I thought this pic looked so funny!
I have no idea what she was pointing at but it looks like his nose!
IMG_5590.jpeg
We stopped for some group shots on Main Street, of course...
IMG_5594.jpegIMG_5596.jpeg

Around 4:30 we went to Pecos Bill's for dinner...always a favorite of mine.
IMG_5605.jpeg

Allie, Clay and I went back on BTMRR...I'm guessing with a LL??
IMG_5614.jpegIMG_5616.jpeg

And then everyone except Mike went on Tiana's...

Before the Splash...
IMG_5635.jpeg

And after the Splash...
IMG_5651.jpeg
A fun time was had by all!

Mike stood on the bridge and got this video of us on the ride...

Next it was time to start heading towards our check-in for the HEA Dessert Party....

OCTOBER 5, 2024
HAPPILY EVER AFTER

We ended our amazing day as all amazing days should end...Happily Ever After.

We booked the seats and treats dessert party for a couple reasons. First, it was a special occasion and we wanted to celebrate being there for Allie's birthday. Second, we like to sit and watch HEA beyond the crowds and even though the view is not as good from here as it is from the garden, we like to have seats to sit and relax.

As we moseyed our way over to the Tomorrowland Terrace we took some pics since the sky and castle looked so pretty...IMG_5675.jpeg

IMG_3163.jpeg

They had this cute little photo-op on the way...IMG_5708 (1).jpeg

We finally made it into the terrace and found a great table against the railing.
Clearly nobody was paying attention or wanted to stop for a pic here :rotfl:
IMG_5719.jpeg

Everyone was too excited about the desserts.
The chocolate covered strawberries are always a favorite.
IMG_5722.jpeg

Cheers!

IMG_5737.jpeg

We have done this party a few times and really enjoy it.
My one complaint is that they don't have enough savory foods...I know, I know...it's a dessert party,
but they could put out something savory besides cheese and crackers.

The view is very nice though...

It had been a long day and we were all pooped so we headed back out after that.
Back at the resort I Facetimed Nicholas who was at home on Daisy-duty...

Such a great day from start to finish.
The weather had been perfect this whole day but that would soon come to an end
as Milton inched his way closer to us!

I love that. Seeing her so excited about HM warms my heart. :)

Of course.

I miss the burgers there.
A fun time was had by all!

Yum.

Me too… and, me too!
My one complaint is that they don't have enough savory foods...I know, I know...it's a dessert party,
I mean… how hard would it be to throw a few pretzels out???

Yay!!! How fun to run into each other unplanned!! :)

Clay loved this...if I recall correctly, he likes it better than Cosmic Rewind which I think is crazy!
I like it well enough but it's really just too short of a ride.
I really like Tron, too, but it is SO stinkin' short!!! I STILL have not been on Cosmic Rewind--seriously!?!!! I will finally get to ride in December (I certainly hope so anyway!) then I can compare them more fairly LOL

I'm looking at booking this one for December! Do they assign the tables, or are you able to just pick your own when you get there? We've done the garden view one, as well as the post-fireworks party, but I hate being squashed in with all the other people. I'm thinking having seats sounds way more enjoyable. One last thing--are the treats and drinks available throughout the fireworks? Or just beforehand?

We have done the seats and treats several times and really like that one!
The Savor, Sips, and Sparkle at CG at CR was a game changer for us, I would do that again, it was wonderful.

Howwwww???

I will finally get to ride in December (I certainly hope so anyway!) then I can compare them more fairly LOL
You better! And I want a full comparison!!

I'm looking at booking this one for December! Do they assign the tables, or are you able to just pick your own when you get there?
You pick your own table and people (me included!) tend to get there early to line up. But I do think there are plenty of good seats!

We've done the garden view one, as well as the post-fireworks party, but I hate being squashed in with all the other people.
Same...and I am not a "ground-sitter." At my age it's too uncomfortable and rough getting back up!

One last thing--are the treats and drinks available throughout the fireworks? Or just beforehand?
Available throughout! We are usual done by the time they start...except for Mike who really takes advantage of the beer! I don't recall seeing Miller Lite there though! Mike always drinks Blue Moon at these things :drinking1

Here I am with a massive mega quote catch up!
After walking around checking out the resort (which only took about 5 minutes since it's so small :-)) we took the boat down the Sassagoula to Disney Springs. By far, this is the superior way to arrive to DS, beating bus, car and rideshare.
I love POFQ and boat travel is always my 1st choice!
We got the
House-Made Meatballs
triple cheese polenta / tomato sauce
Yum!
Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites
Yummy!
Artisanal Cheese Board
Yummier!
Burrata with heirloom tomatoes / fresh corn / local sourdough
Yummiest!
After our ride we headed to my favorite QS in EPCOT...
Les Halles is the best! BUT do they use French butter in their pastries?
We had gotten the DDP for the one night stay and used it for WBG and then we had 2 QS meals left for this day so we ended up sharing a meal and also shared a Mimosa which I normally would not have gotten but was delicious...
Great idea!
Mike and I have that Parisian Brunch reserved for our upcoming trip in October and I hope it's just as good as this...I have seen some pretty good reviews so far which is encouraging.
Well that sounds amazing! Shades of the lovely CG brunch. :)
This was the next picture in my roll and judging by Allie's face, Daisy had gotten herself into some trouble back home! :rotfl:
Oh Daisy!
We shared an order of Pepperoni Pizza and Mike got a beer because it came with it. I think this is a pretty good way to use a QS dining credit and it's definitely shareable since the slices are huge and you get two of them!
They are huge slices. I always get the kids pizza deal here with cuties and a drink. It's a great deal.
Mike and I finished up our dinner and then we ran to Publix for some snacks and waters for the room on the way to the airport to pick them up. I have zero pictures from the rest of this night but I did get a good video coming back to WDW!
Sweet!
The Parisian Breakfast at Chefs de France is only available for a limited time on Fridays and Saturdays starting September 5, 2025—during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Please still exist in 2029!!!!
We left off on Big Thunder Mountain and since we had Boarding Group 3 for Tiana's we headed right over there. Mike, my mom and Ava weren't quite ready to go on...well Mike never goes on, my mom is always freezing so won't go on if it's not super warm out, and Ava wasn't sure about going on...they all did something else and I have no idea what!
Tiana's is so charming.
At the time Ava was a huge Stitch fan which is why I made this reservation but everything was so delicious, we all loved it.
I have so many sweet memories of Ohana breakfasts with my boys.
After breakfast we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and while I was walking through the tunnel I hear, "Kelly?"
I turned around to see the famous Kari @katstoney!
Yay!!!!!
Neither one of us had any idea the other would be there so it was hilarious that we ran into each other there! We had a quick chat because we were rushing off to our LLs and she and her family were leaving the park,
but it was so good to see an old friend
Love that!
Clay loved this...if I recall correctly, he likes it better than Cosmic Rewind which I think is crazy!
How can anyone like anything better than Guardians?
Everyone went on Haunted Mansion...I thought this pic looked so funny!
I have no idea what she was pointing at but it looks like his nose!
Cute!
Around 4:30 we went to Pecos Bill's for dinner...always a favorite of mine.
The Southwest salad is back??????
Next it was time to start heading towards our check-in for the HEA Dessert Party....
Now I'm jealous......
The chocolate covered strawberries are always a favorite.
Yes they are.
Such a great day from start to finish.
The weather had been perfect this whole day but that would soon come to an end
as Milton inched his way closer to us!
What a perfectly delightful day. I'm happy just reading about it!
The Savor, Sips, and Sparkle at CG at CR was a game changer for us, I would do that again, it was wonderful.
I need to know about this...I've wanted to do it forever. Another thing to add to my list one day.

Howwwww???
RIght?! It's been open for years, what is even wrong with me!
You better! And I want a full comparison!!
Promise!! :)

Available throughout! We are usual done by the time they start...except for Mike who really takes advantage of the beer! I don't recall seeing Miller Lite there though! Mike always drinks Blue Moon at these things :drinking1
LOL, my reputation proceeds me! When we've done it in the past, I usually go with Blue Moon, too. Bud Light is just NOT my thing--I wish they'd switch! That would definitely make the cost even more worth it though...and easier to convince Rob. Ha! Thanks for the details!
