Who here wants The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter back?

I loved AE; it was imaginative, biting satire, with a bunch of familiar faces and voices, and S.I.R was one of the best audio anamatronics ever done.

Stitches Great Mistake, however, is a screaming perversion of AE, not to mention a terrible attraction for kids, and I wouldn't mind seeing it leveled for a parking lot.

I vote to demolish the attraction and start from scratch on something new. I don't like Stich and didn't like AE either.

AE was one of my favorites. My only disappointment was the parents trying to convince their three y/o that it wasn't scary, and then seeing the child screaming and crying after the ride.

I hated AE, I would go on it but I didn't enjoy the attraction at all. I thought it wasn't very disney-like.

Although its not my favorite attraction, I think Stitch is an improvement. I think the preshow is really funny and the Stitch animatronic is AMAZING!

I've been on it about a dozen times and everyone I see leaving the attraction is laughing and has a smile on their face.

:wizard: Me , ...oh me - and a vote from all three in our family!!!

We did Stitch ride a few weeks ago and it is really lame - if they redid the ride to appeal to the younger set - they missed the mark with our family. DD8 did not care for it at all - also, a friend of hers (10) did not either. I would love to have AE back - but won't be holding my breath!

I liked AE....scared the crap out of us the 1st time....always good for a laugh on our return trips!!! I hated Stitch.....very lame!!!! I wish they would do SOMETHING there!!! :earsgirl:

We loved AE...but have not seen Stitch. I haven't told my family that AE is gone yet!

I'm with the minority here - I loved AE. It was great when all the little kids started screaming. Okay, I'm mean. But seriously, Stitch = lame. If they don't want AE back, they should just build it at Disneyland. Lots of sick & twisted puppies out there (yes, me included). ::yes::

I thought AE was VERY Disney-like. You have the subtle and sophisticated humor like in HISTA and Phil, the well-known guest stars like in Dinosaur and Soarin', and amazing effects like in TTBAB and TOT. It just wasn't a kiddie ride, which is what people expect in MK, so a lot of people who didn't bother to read the warnings outside took littles into it and got mad when the littles got scared. AE would have been a smash hit in Epcot's Future World, and would still be there.

And as far as the laughing, smiling people go... well, you must not have ever been to see Stitch on the days when I have, because they ran about 50-50 then. Half the people liked it, half the people came out frowning and dissapointed. And several kids had to be removed halfway through the show from sheer terror.

I liked the original AE (11 years ago). The tamed down version (6 years ago) wasn't nearly as scary. I just got back from going on Stitch for the first time. I was ready to hate it, but actually thought it was OK.

Agreed.

The anamatronics were absolutely amazing. And Stitch is just blah...not a ride to talk up with anyone, nor does it create a desire for one to ride it again.
