So I was turned on to this awesome new cocktail: St. Germain Cocktail

It has sparkling wine, elderflower liqueur and sparkling water with a twist of lemon. YUM!

I picked up some Arthur Metz Brut and it's really good on it's own if you like a dry sparkling. Arthur Metz is a winery in the Alsace region of France, also where the elderflower is grown. It's not an expensive sparkling at all, but really good. :)

What does elderflower liquer taste like?

That doesn't sound like a very strong drink. I prefer my drinks to contain a lot of vodka, haha.

It's hard to explain the taste. It's nothing like I've ever had. It's very light and floral... almost a cross between a wine and liqueur.

There are several cocktails that you can make using it. One has vodka (a martini). Look up St. Germain liqueur or cocktail and their website will come up with recipes.

I'm really wanting to try the St. Rita using tequila.

Sorry - my "strongest" drink is Folgers coffee - or maybe a Virgin Mary..;)

Oh....the Saint Germain Martini. Saint Germain, vodka or gin, and citrus. They make one at a restaurant close to us that is indescribable.
