Yes, the Queen has managed to pack on a few pounds this past week...it's been a little stressful! Bring on the donuts....of course you can partake....I have plenty of boxes for my humbleservants!

Oh...I hope she didn't see it. It's hard to surprise kids as they get older. My boys wanted a trampoline this year for Christmas. I have it wrapped under the tree and DS said this must be the trampoline. I told him it was a BBQ grill for his dad. Since Santa brought it I'll just say I was confused.

I spoke to Donna this morning. She and Nathan were on ME. I just wanted to make sure they got out of St. Louis alright. They did, but she said they had a bit of a problem in Illinois. I'm so mad at myself that I didn't think earlier and have them come and stay with me. I swear my brain is on delay.


I'm cleaning today, so I will try and check in here and there.

Oops, sorry. I thought it was like a box of chocolates, you take a bite to see if you like that kind and if you don't, then you put it back for someone else. Just don't turn the donuts over, then you'll see where I poked my finger into a few of them to see what kind of filling they had.

Well, I finally finished decorating my Christmas tree. It looks nice. Boy, have I collected some ornaments over the years. My favorite is one that I have had since I was little. I know it sounds disgusting, but it is an egg that has been blown out and shellacked (??sp). On it is painted a little drummer boy. It is just the daintiest and sweetest thing!!!! My mom gave it to me years ago.



YM----you'd be proud of me. I actually went downstairs and very cautiously opened my big cabinet that holds all of the decorations. I say cautiously because ya never know when a straight razored man will jump out. But hey, if it's Todd S., I'll take him.

It was okay. Had its good parts and its not so good parts.

We FINALLY bought a Christmas tree today. Haven't put it up and decorated it yet......but we bought it.

We'll decorate tomorrow.

My goofball kids went outside to play in the snow, and what did they play with? The swingset. The one that sat there all summer, untouched.

And ice. Lyzzie found this piece that had a silouhette of a Scottie dog stuck on it in snow! She did not do this, it was naturally that shape.

They just had a generally good time. I chickened out and stayed inside, except to poke my head out once in a while and take pictures.

It is really snowing out!!!! We've had several inches throughout the day. I am just sitting here with the lights out and the tree on and my front door opened looking at the snow. I have some Christmas music on too.

p.s. I have the stormdoor closed, of course. I'm not that crazy. (or am I?? )
