Good morning, Cliquers!!

Yippee!! Its' Saturday and I'm up early and getting ready to head out to my shopping expedition.
I had planned on this day just getting Nathan's presents and picking up a new watch for Gary but my mom and sis started giving me money to buy things for Nathan. So.....hopefully it won't be another trip where I buy nothing and everything for other people!

I'm getting ready to pull out the Christmas decorations.

Good luck shopping Donna. I hope you find stuff to purchase for yourself. I find I always give the girls list to everyone and then there is nothing left for me to buy.

DH and I went out to dinner tonight, no kids! Maddie was at a movie with her brownie troop, Britt and her friend stayed home scrounging food. Now Britt's having a sleepover with 2 of her friends. They are up to something because they keep running through the house giggling. I have to say though, a lot of girls this age are talking about their boyfriends, Britt and her friends are playing with play dough, so I can't and won't complain!

NICE! Dinner with no kids! How'd the sleepover go? That's always such an interesting age - kind of in the middle. Hopefully you can hold off the boys for a while longer.

I'm heading to bed too! DH is snoring on the chair and Britt just came in and asked me if I could please send him to bed.

Hey guys!!

Wish me luck- I am going shoe shopping today! So far I've had ZERO luck finding anything and I need 2 pairs for the cruise and Jeremiah needs a pair too...I'm also annoyed because I'm trying to find Jeremiah a bathing suit - (he actually refuses to wear a bathing suit, normally he just wears his basketball shorts ) I guess I'm the weird one expecting stores to carry them in the winter I'm used to Florida where they sell them no matter what the season!

Nicole: A new laptop? I'm jealous! I had that on my Christmas list, along with a GPS and a cellphone with a full keyboard, but I guess I'm not getting any of that stuff. That's ok though, because I'm getting airfare instead! My mom is pretty happy about the deal because she hates shopping, and now she doesn't have to.

I've got a batch of peanut butter swirl brownies in the oven -- why oh why do brownies take so long to bake? I want them NOW!

It's a cold rainy yucky day today... yup, it's December. The girls are happy, I have advent calendars for them with little chocolates inside each window and they got to start them today. I bought them last year when a store in the mall was going out of business, and they were $2.38 for the both of them (I left the receipt in the bag) instead of $23.80. That is some good chocolate - why didn't I buy three?

This must be baking/cooking day!! We went out and braved the traffic zoo to go to Target and to another Hobby Lobby - they're having 50% off on a bunch of their Christmas stuff - wrap, bows, ornaments, decor! Erin got a silicone muffin pan that's got the muffins in the shape of little wreaths. She's in the kitchen now starting Banana Nut muffins. I almost baked Pumpkin bread, but I figured the muffins would be good for now.

Ashley - that's too bad that you can't find shoes. I'm sure you will. As for the bathing suit for Jeremiah... not so sure!

Nicole - a new laptop!! Good for you!

Yum...I'll take one or two! The chili looks good too but for some reason I've got a sweet tooth. We played basketball games today and we are home for the evening. I think I might have to join the crew and bake something!
The chocolate peanut butter sounds good but so does something with cream cheese? I just threw away some very ripe bananas...there went my chance for some banana nut bread.

Ashley said it cost $55 just to call poison control! (that doesnt seem fair!) But, she will be ok. naughty girl! I gave her a strict talking to over the phone. (it usually doesnt do any good...)
I am still recuperating from Thurs & Friday, we went out both nights, Thurs to see a friends band, Friday for DH's band. I tried to sleep in but woke up at 7 and couldnt get back to sleep.
I got some eggnog that we will drink when DH gets home from work . YUM! a good evening to all!
