Hi, everyone!!:wave2:

I got back from shopping about 3pm. Had to stop by my mom's house to drop off a few things before heading home.
Nathan redid his Christmas list after I got home.:scared: thankfully, nothing was drastically changed; we just suggested he put the items in order of which one he wanted the most.

pozey:: Congrats on your 4000 posts!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:
You did a pretty good job on Courtney's nails. Did she sit still for you? princess:

Ashley::Oh my goodness, too bad you can't get Ruby on your family medical insurance.:sad2:

Lesa:: OK....is there a website devoted specifically to making crafts from feminine hygien products? :lmao: You crack me up, girl!!!

You guys are making me hungry with all the food cooking/baking around here. Pass some my way, please.:teeth:

My brownies came out very crumbly but delicious nonetheless. We have to eat them standing over the sink though! They are already half gone - hey, a 8x8 pan is really small!

Oh Ruby. Stop costing your mommy so much money! Don't you know there is perfectly good dog food to eat?

Donna: Lyzzie is redoing her Xmas list as we speak. I told her how does she expect me to shop from a list that keeps changing?! Then I reminded her that I'm not buying very much this year, and she said, "Yeah, I'd rather have a few things that I really like than a lot of little things that aren't that fun. Plus Santa will bring me a lot." Then she took her list and headed off to the bathroom to work on it in private (as if that works around here)!

Shannon: Hope you can sleep in tomorrow, sounds like you need it!

ps pozey your chili looks yummy! ashley is asking for the recipe..
Thank you. It was very good.

And easy, easy, easy....

Here's all I did....

Browned 3 pounds of ground round.

Then, in a big pot, I put in the following ingredients:
1 large can of tomato juice
1 can tomato paste
2 cans diced tomoatoes
2 cans red kidney beans
2 1/2 packets of Williams Chili Seasoning

then, I added the ground beef and simmered for an hour or so.

That's it.

Good morning!! It's gloomy and windy here thismorning, but it's almost 60 degrees already. Weird weather!!

Pozey:: I'll have to remeber the Williams chili seasoning, I always just use regular chili spice. I fry in a little onion with my ground beef, too.

Lyzziesmom:: That is just really strange that you said Lyzzie took her list to the bathroom. Nathan did the exact same thing Friday evening when I was pressing him to get a list for Santa started. (I hear Haunted Mansion music playing in the background.)

YourMajesty:: You know I was just teasing about your talking too much!!:goodvibes I need a good conversationalist around to offset my quietness.:banana:
I hope your DS's ankle is improving.

I have absolutely NO idea what to post for breakfast this morning! I definitely have WDW on my mind so I'm afraid you all are going to have to have another magical meal today!:wizard:

popkidswaffle.jpg

I hope you all have a Super-Dee-Dooper Sunday!!:tigger:

Good Morning!

Breakfast looks good!!!

The "Product" projects were posted over on the budget board as a way to use all the free products. I really like the angel one, but I don't think I could bare to see a tampon hanging from my tree! :scared: :lmao: We always make some kind of ornaments every year, and I showed the angel to Britt. She thought I'd lost my mind! :rotfl2:

Ruby! Ruby! Ruby! :sad2: Ashley you certainly have your hands full with that dog. I think your in need of a doggy playpen! I have never heard of paying poison control for help!

Shannon I had some eggnog last night too. DH mixed it with a little banana rum....Yum! The only problem is it knocked me out for the night. We finished decorating the tree and started to watch Charlie Brown's Christmas around 8. I don't even remember it actually starting, I think I was out the second it started. Dh woke me up and hour later and sent me to bed.

Pozey your chili looks really good! I made beef stew with dumplings. Great job painting the fingers and toes, that's a tough thing to do.

YM your rocky road sounds good! You must tell how you made it.

Yesterday DH and I ran to the store. I hadn't been to the grocery store in months and we were down to eating the crap left at the bottom of the freezer. :scared: Anyway, the weather was fine when we went in the store, by the time we came out our car was covered in a sheet of ice! I hate winter!!! :sad2:

2x asked about the Christmas cards and recipe exchange a few days ago. Also I think Lin ? asked about a secret Santa exchange. Did we ever come to a decision on any of this?

Donna...thanks for breakfast. It's 67 here this morning with the humidity at 87%...can someone say Florida. :rolleyes1 The temp actually went up during the night...weird would definietely be the right word!

Miss Donna...no apologies needed...I will gladly own up to the chatter box that I am...:chat: Hey...anytime you need me to offset your quietness just give me a call!:woohoo:

Pozey is right on with the Williams chili seasoning. It's by far the best. I like the original. Check the ingredients because I'm pretty sure there is no salt in the original...but that's not true for all of their chili seasonings. I'm sure the onions cooked with the meat would be great. I've actually done onions and green peppers when I have them.

Funny about Lyzzie and Nathan going to the bathroom to make their Christmas list. Do you guys remember Ralphie in A Christmas Story locking himself in the bathroom to 'decode' his secret message...."remember to drink your Ovaltine".:rotfl2: That's the mental picture I had of them writing their list.:rotfl:

Hey Lesa...well I must say I think it is the unusual that gets the most attention...I would certainly say the "product projects" certainly made me laugh. I meant to ask DH if he saw them.:lmao: I bet Brittany thought you had lost your mind. Ok, my weirdo mind is wondering if anyone would notice what your homemade ornament was made out of. :rotfl2: I guess the budget board is living up to their wacky reputation....I'm thinking about beanie weenies cooked in the coffee pot and grilled cheese sanwiches made with the hotel iron.:lmao:

So you are in all the ice and snow.:sad2:

Hey...go to the Eagle Brand milk website for some good fudge recipes. The fudge is so easy and you can make any variety. I melted a bad of chocolate chips with 1 can of eagle brand milk and 2 T butter....stir and cool a little. I chopped some pecans and then added 1 package of miniature marshmellows....line a pan with parchment paper and cool in the frig!

I'm up for the card/recipe or whatever exchange. I have a photo card ready to go although the picture sucks...I made them at Walmart and the pictures came out a little fuzzy? With my trip coming up I'm going to send them anyway...maybe next year we will do better.:rolleyes1

ok, so pozey inspired me.... I just got back from seeing DH at the store and bought ingredients to make...you guessed it....chili!! even though it is 85 here today and I like to make it on a cooler day, looks like thats not gonna happen for a while!
I serve mine topped with sour cream and cheese. YUM! well I am off to do laundry, watch football, and run up to Barnes & Noble with my sis later. hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Donna: I told Lyzzie that Nathan worked on his list in the bathroom too and she said, "It sounds like we have a lot in common. Except the gender." I've got WDW on my mind today too! I keep thinking I'll slip and say something to the kids. Hey isn't there a site where you can sign up to have Mickey call you on Christmas? I can't wait until I'm having that breakfast for real!

Lesa: I see pictures of those tampon angels just about every year lately - I'm almost tempted to make one! They did one on one of those HGTV shows, it was hilarious to see the host trying to remain tactful. :happytv: I thought of Maddy this morning when I was helping change Emma's clothes and Lyzzie slid open the closet door from the inside - she made a reading nest in there. Falling asleep in front of the tv? That sounds very familiar. I used to tease my mom endlessly about putting on her jammies before 6pm and falling asleep - crap! I've become my mother!! The eggnog sounds SO good - I'm definitely buying a huge jug of it on our next grocery trip. (Lyzzie is reading over my shoulder and panting & drooling.)

I think we should do the card exchange again but I have no idea how to do a Secret Santa. If anyone wants to take charge I think it would be fun though! Does everyone still have everyone's addresses? I think I still have the list, but there are fewer of us this year. :(

I forgot to order my Christmas cards!! I made them up on Shutterfly and then didn't order, I was going to order on Friday and make a couple other projects too. Now all my codes for free stuff have expired, darn it!! I just remembered last night and actually woke up in a panic before I remembered I can just print some at home.

YM: That is some odd weather! I wonder if it's headed this way? It sounds like it'll be followed by some yucky stuff for sure. I love your Ralphie comparison - spot on! I'll have to check out the Eagle Brand website, it sounds really good. I'm in charge of ALL the baking this year for our whole family, and I'm not really motivated. We don't even have our tree up yet! (Well, it's up but it's naked.)

Ugh, Emma's having a breakdown and screaming that she wants a bath, so I guess I know where I'm headed.

"See" ya later, alligators!

I've got a funny Emma story for your enjoyment this lovely morning:

Yesterday Emma was telling me about how her preschool class has been practicing the Nativity play. She was trying to tell me what parts the kids have been working on. Emma wanted to be a cow, but they only have a donkey costume and the naughty boy is the donkey. So Emma is the keeper (innkeeper) and one of her friends is the married (Mary) and her other friend is the alien. Wait a minute... the alien?? Are you sure? Yep, she is the alien. You know, she has wings and can fly -- the alien!

Turns out she meant the angel.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Pozey- You did a good job for your first time painting Courtney's nails!

Ashley- Shame on Ruby!!! I hope she will be okay!

Lyzziesmom- Now your making me want to make some brownies!

That's so funny that Lyzzie and Nathan both went to the bathroom to redo their Christmas lists.

I'm not sure if I will participate in the Secret Santa exchange this year but I will participate in the card exchange. I've got alot of expenses because of the CP this year.

Pozey your chili looks really good! I made beef stew with dumplings. Great job painting the fingers and toes, that's a tough thing to do.
Thank you Lesa!!!

It was tough.....she doesn't like to sit still....

I'm not sure if I will participate in the Secret Santa exchange this year but I will participate in the card exchange.

Ditto. Between this dog and the upcoming cruise my savings is being wiped out. :sad2: I still have the addresses too if you guys want me to send them out! I know my Mom wants to join the list.

Ruby is doing fine, BTW. I'm not sure what to do with her- she is VERY bad!! In case you guys are wondering, it was animal poison control that I called - maybe thats why they charge. I got the number from the emergency vet.

Lesa, the eggnog sounds really good!! Last night we were going to make some pina colada's and after putting all the ingredients in the blender, it sparked and went dead! :rolleyes1 I guess I need to get another one one of these days.

It is COLD here!! We just took Ruby for a walk and I was shivering. :cold: I'm getting ready to make a big pot of spaghetti now, and we may go to the movies tonight because we have some leftover movie tickets we bought from Costco.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

P.S. Thanks guys, now I'm craving chilli!!! ;) Thanks for posting your recipes!

Ashley: You inspired me to take the kids to a movie! It was a tossup between Fred Claus and Bee Movie. Lyzzie and I really want to see Fred Claus, but Emma said, "The Santa movie makes me be loud, and the Bee Movie makes me be quiet and watch it." So... Bee Movie it is!

Then when we get back home we will hopefully get started decorating the tree. (with eggnog of course.) (not decorating the tree with eggnog... oh you know what I mean!)

Well the movie starts in 25 minutes so we better hustle. Hope everyone's having a great Sunday!

Evening, gang!

Kinda quiet around here today!

Ashley.... bad, bad Ruby! Is there anything she won't get into?? How'd your shoe shopping go yesterday?

Donna - no complaints from me for a Disney breakfast! Thanks! Nathan changed his shopping list? Hope anything you picked up already is still on the list!

Lesa - the eggnog and banana rum sounds like a great idea! I'm afraid it would do the same thing to me, though.

Lyzziesmom - the keeper and married, and the alien?? :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: She is so funny! So you're NOT decorating your tree with eggnog, then?

YM - I've got to go check out those fudge recipes! I'm not a big fudge fan (somethings not right with me, right????) but I wouldn't mind making it for people. I agree w/ you and Pozey - the Williams seasoning IS the best.

So Erin's wreath muffins did NOT come out well yesterday. The non-stick silicone pan? They stuck. She was mad. Since she wanted to make them for some of her friends for Christmas, she's since changed her mind, but doesn't know what to make. She's going to try a rocky road candy now - well, without the rocky. I suggested she make fudge, and she said, "no, it's too cliche." Fudge is cliche? I got stuff for Pumpkin bread - I have the most awesome recipe from my mom - been making it for years and it's just not the holidays unless I make pumpkin bread.

I'm totally game for card/recipe exchange. Although I wouldn't be opposed to a secret santa, I also don't mind not doing it so our friends who need a break for their budgets don't feel obligated. Either way, I'm fine. I still have my address list from last year, I think the only address I'm lacking is Shannon's.

Hey Dznyfan, how about making some candy cane bark? We did that last year and it was really easy. We melted some white chocolate candy coating things, poured it on a cookie sheet, sprinkled crushed candy cane, let it cool and break apart. It was really easy and taste really good. You can also add a little peppermint extract if you want. I would love the fudge though! ;)

Well a boring day at our house, so boring I took a nap. We had a thunderstorm earlier so all our snow from yesterday turn to a wet ugly mess. Did I tell you how much I hate this time of year!?!?!

Poor DH is cooking dinner tonight. He is making a ham and it's been cooking for 3 hours now. It's not even close to being done. I think my oven may be on the fritz and it's only 3 years old.:headache:

I too think I will have to opt out of a gift exchange. I only brought it up because it was mentioned and I don't think we had ever made a decision.

Evening everyone.

How was everyone's day?

We just returned from having dinner at Fish Daddy's. Colton's choice. He said he had a craving for blackened catfish. :confused3

Hey DznyFan....Did Erin work today? Colton and W went Christmas shopping and bought quite a bit of stuff at the Disney Store today.

Yeah, I'm game too. But I don't have my list from last year.....:guilty:

Lesa, I made peppermint bark to go in my gift baskets last year! It is really easy. I suggested it, but she didn't want to do it for her friends. Maybe I'll do fudge and peppermint bark again.

Sounds like you may indeed be needing a new oven! Ham really sounds good...

Hey DznyFan....Did Erin work today? Colton and W went Christmas shopping and bought quite a bit of stuff at the Disney Store today.
No she didn't. Hey, I'll email you that list tomorrow from work. Don't let me forget!

Hey guys, I'm sorry I've been MIA for the last week or so. We are in the final stages of our show, and we open on Thursday. I've been at school from 7:00AM-8:30PM M-F, and will pull that again til Wednesday, I've also been up there this weekend. After next Saturday I will be able to relax!!!

Anyway, I don't have time to catch up but wanted to tell you all that I am thinking of you and missing chatting!
