Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Alrighty then, we'll try this again, shall we??

So, as I was saying before the computer ghost so rudely zapped my post---oh look--poet-- :artist:

I was saying that I woke up this morning and I could hear my day of the week rolodex in my head clicking and smiled when I realized it was Sunday. Yay--but it's over halfway finished by now so yay.

My biggest news is that my sister and her family now do not have to move to Florida. We are all very excited but in the back of our heads wonder when BIL's boss is going to change his mind again. Keep in mind that they were supposed to be on the road this coming Tuesday and they found out last Wed. :confused3 :confused3 We are all still very confused. The boss decided it was a money issue and I'm sure he saw a way this would benefit him. So, after spending the whole summer stressing, finding a house, finding schools, etc., the rug was pulled out from under them. I feel so sorry for my sis and BIL and even the kids (the older ones---the baby just plays the role) because even though we were all very sad to see them go, we were all emotionally ready for the change. Anyway, they are staying here for the time being, but like I said, who knows when this guy do this again to them. He acts like they are his puppets and have no feelings whatsoever. So, we will enjoy them once again while they are here.

Just jokes about how we are 'clique-less' but in a clique, stuff like that, nothing bad. They're just jealous.

Here's my take on this.

As much as anyone hates to admit, there are many groups here that naturally tend to gravitate towards each other. Is clique the best word for them?? Maybe not. But they exist. All of these groups had to start somewhere and this is where our group started---so it happened to be titled cliqueless. So what?? If we all gathered on a oh, let's say a "I eat cereal for breakfast standing on my head" thread then we would be considered the "upside down Cherrio eating breakfast club".

So, over the past month and a half ?? or so, we have all gotten to know each other and have come to share parts of our lives. Yes, there are still some issues that are not completely public, but in my opinion it is not because we wish not to share them with the friends we have made over this past time, it is because everyone has access to reading without us knowing they are there. We have no control over who reads our discussions but we are more than welcoming to newcomers and if some choose to come back and join in--wonderful-- but we cannot force anyone to partake and if they want to talk, they will talk.

So, have we formed a clique?? Maybe, maybe not. But what I do know is that we have formed friendships that I, personally, would not change for the world and someday I know that we will all meet face to face. So, :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all of my CLIQUELESS friends.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :teeth:

And they lived Happily Ever After, too. princess: pirate:

I am going to post this before I lose it so,

Cherrio, Corn Flakes and Cocoa Puffs :upsidedow to our CLIQUELESS CHICAS AND THE MAN.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

 Oh shucks, fellas. (said like the cowardly lion in the Wizard of OZ) :grouphug: That is so sweet 2x2s.

okay, continuation of my long lost post from the morning.........................

Nicole--I hope your day at work yesterday wasn't all bad. I know what you mean about working on Saturdays--you look out the window thinking, "I should be out there!!"

Try to keep relaxed this week because you have a tough couple of weeks ahead of you. What is the recovery time for your surgery?? Just keep thinking of WDW. :yay: :yay:
:grouphug: to you!!

Pr. Pix--wow, I was totally off with the movie I was thinking. I have no clue which one I had in my mind. Imagine that. I will have to check out the one you recommended.

Yay for Boston!! How fun this will be for you to go back home for a bit.

Thanks for reminding me of the Gap outlet--completely slipped my mind that there is one fairly close. This could come in handy for t's for WDW in October.

DznyFan---whoa, I must ask the question--what is the correct way to open a roll of sausage?? I would think as long as there is no wrapper left on it then the task is complete.??????

Lyzziesmom---Where is your new Disney Store?? Is it in the Plaza?? I am itching for a shopping trip sometime soon--but it's not like I have $$$$$ burning a hole in my pocket------I wish-----upon a star.

OMG----your pictures are adorable!!!!

First of all--you need to frame the one with Emma talking to Mickey!!! It's almost like she is saying, "It ALL started with a Mouse??" This is absolutely precious!!!! This is what Disney is all about. sniff sniff .....PRICELESS.
She looks like she had a ball!! What fun.

Lyzzie looks so grown up in this picture. Her eyes are gorgeous. I cannot believe she saw hidden Mickey's in the gumballs. What a perceptive little chica. I need to take some lessons from her. I am always the one saying "where?? where??", when my nose is right in it.

I love the one with all of you and the main mouse too. Very pretty of all of you!!

Ash---let me know how you like you Croccy flip flops. I love flip flops but I need so much more support than they can offer walking around WDW. I learned a very hard lesson back in December when I went for a long weekend. It was a bit chilly, so I wore jeans and swede clogs that have wooden soles. By the end of each day it felt like I had been walking on hardwood floors all day long. What was I thinking?? They were fashionably cute, though. Not a very smart bunny here, though.

Ruby in the cart-- :lmao: Oh wait--do I see a BK whopper jr. wrapper crumpled in the corner??

Linda--wow--looks like Kenny's got the moves!!! :rotfl2: This is too cute!! He looks like such a happy little guy. I love the one with you and he together. Very sweet. Mike looks as young as his son (this is his son, right??)

Oh, and good to know I am not the only one who has solo conversations here. It's almost like you want someone's computer to ring and say "pick up, pick up--I know you're there". :teeth:

Good luck once more on the ex issues. My goodness girl, will this ever end for you?? :grouphug:

YM--you'd best watch it--pretty soon you will wake up to find Sophie's big 'ol wet nose in your face. :teeth:

Who's your friend?? insert a lovely strawberry or  here cuz this is what messed me up before. :badpc:

Just started #5 because I kept having to go back and re-read one certain scene from #4--pg. 163-166--perma crease in my book----sigh---Morelli. YUM

April---good to hear from you sista!!! I think you need to be like that one TV home makeover show where they are all sent to WDW while their house is being re-done. I know it is so hard to see your home like that and I would be the same way about protecting my things. Take a deep breath---and let it out.
You know that everything takes twice the amount of time quoted so don't be surprised if they are not finished today.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you and prayers said.

Donna---I was wondering where you disappeared to but didn't want to send out the squad. :teeth: j/k

I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. Can I ask how old she is??
pixiedust: for you and your family. Where do your DH's sisters live?? Because if my geographical mind serves me well--we are no where AZ either.??

Your dinner sounds yummy. Today has been sort of a hearty soup or stew or potroast kind of day witht the storms.

Good luck to your DH on his trip. I am going to a BBQ over my aunt's on Saturday for Labor Day--you can come with me. :teeth:

Oh, and btw---didn't you stay in the Doubletree Suites?? We are staying here our first night because we leave on Friday, Oct. 13---Yikes--say a lil prayer---but we land at 10:30 pm and don't check into WL until Sat. 14. Where are they located?? By the village?? (or DTD--or whatever they are calling it these days).

okay, I think I'm done.

Hello to everyone else who was not addressed--Pozey, Amber, MImom, anyone else?? Angela--forgot Angela--sorry.

so, about this pregnancy brain thingy----what's my excuse?? :rolleyes1

My MIL will be 81 in Sept. One sister is in Colorado and one in Oklahoma(I know, their closer than we are!!) She moved to AZ from CA, where her sister and brother lived. Her brother moved to Az and she moved to be close to him. Uncle passed away several years ago, so essentially she is there by herself now.

Yes, we stayed at the Doubletree Suites. Yes, it is located by DTD. (Gee, I remember when they used to call it the Village Marketplace or something like that) we always use the Lake Buena Vista/Route 535 exit. Make a left at the Crossroads/Hotel Plaza Blvd intersection. Hotel is the first on the left.

Thanks for the invite on the BBQ, but am going to have to entertain Nathan!! :sunny:

2x2s - you said it very well, my dear. *sniff* pass the kleenex when you all are done.

April, it was good to hear from you again! Hang in there, that painting will be done before you know it!

Linda, I loved the pictures! You guys are a gorgeous little family.

Ashley, what a cute picture of a pug in a buggy! Your Ruby is a cutie. I love going to Petsmart, too, and its an excellent way to socailize a dog.

YM - on dog food - One little tip for dog food shopping - look for a food that's first ingredient is meat, not a cornmeal-based food. You will have reduced gas, less food consumption (more protien, less carb), and usually less by-product (doggy land mines). Purina Pro-Plan is an excellent food. Also, you can find 'diet' dog foods, I believe ONE has one, and Pro Plan might. Believe it or not, you'll feed less than you expect - our giant Golden eats very little - about 3/4 of an Eskimo Joe's plastic cup twice a day. He's not a super-actuve dog, so we have to watch the amount he's fed or he gets FAT. We go through an 18 pound bag about every 2 weeks.

Hi to everyone else :wave2: - what a lazy, drizzley day here. Not even any good football on... I think I'll go stick my nose in Stephanie Plum #4!

Thanks so much :)!! It's good to have a little time to post... You've always got great pix of Lyzzie and Emma too! They're so adorable!! I bet they're really getting excited about your trip!!! :woohoo: Take lots of pix!!

Ashley... Ruby looks so cute! That is a great pix for a camera phone too :thumbsup2

Hey there April!!! :grouphug: Hope you get it all finished w/the house soon!! I know it can be so stressful!! Hang in there...just remember the profit you'll be gaining once it is over!! It will be worth it in the end!

Donna... wow, hope all works out well w/your MIL :grouphug: I know it can get tough when they get up there in age. Yes, Kenny is a ham..and my ex...he'll get what he has coming...sooner or later;)!! You can spend Labor Day w/us :grouphug:

2x2s... now your sis is STAYING...what an emotional rollercoaster!! You get all prepared for them to leave...and now they're staying... I'm sure you're grateful they get to stay...but I know what your saying!! At least you will get to see the kids like you've become use to!! Yes the groom was his son! Mike is 45 and his son is 24! He is a BIG boy!! Kenny looks like an ant next to Michael...but they're very close! It is so cute!! The ex... I pray every night it ends soon!

Thank you Dznyfan :)

Hope everyone had a terrific weekend :wave2:

Hey everyone!!

Well, the weekend is over. It went by waaay too fast!!

2xcited: It is exciting that your sister isn't moving, even though the boss is being so insensitive! I know all about those kind of bosses. DH's boss just told everyone who works for the company that they have to cut their hours back to 32 to "save money". Of course he is still keeping his mega-salary the same. It won't affect DH because he works for the company that his boss owns (confusing, but he is the only one in the office of the other company) but I guess that is his answer to his raise, even though the boss already said he would give him one. What a jerk! He is actively putting his resume out now...everywhere! Mostly in the state of Florida! :Pinkbounc I wore the Croc flip flops today...sooo comfy!!!

April: Oh, that painting sounds like such a nightmare! I remember when I still lived with my parents, they re-financed and got some money to fix up the house. We got pergo floor, new stove, new refridgerator, etc....well of course I was the one stuck cleaning everything- and I scrubbed that refridgerator and threw everything out, cleaned behind it, scrubbed the floor, etc. When the guys came to install the refridgerator, all they did was track mud all over the house! I was in tears. Don't worry, it'll be over soon! :grouphug:

Lyzziesmom: Hope you had a great Sunday! Your trip sure is coming up fast! We are going to miss you while you are gone.

Nicole: Did you enjoy your only day off? What'd you do?

Amber: Haven't heard from you this weekend! How are you?

DonnaLeah: That dinner sure sounds yummy!!

Hi to everybody else!! :ssst: I just ordered a pizza from PapaJohns! I need to stop this late night delivery, but I didn't get alot to eat today!

It's a good thing Donna gave me my Kleenex back... I finally got around to watching Finding Neverland tonight and the amount of blubbering going on around here was (is) pretty shameful.

I did not get as much done around the house today as I wanted to. Spent the morning getting caught up on the laundry and cleaning up. The plan was to pack for the trip everything except those few last-minute items, and then pack pretty much everything else for the move. 4 1/2 hours after pulling out the suitcases, I still am only about 75% packed for the trip. I can't get anything done with the girls around. I love them so much, but I will be so happy to drop them off at my mom's house tomorrow morning. My neighbors must think there is something wrong with us, because when Lyzzie yells at me and throws a fit, I use the same tone of voice right back at her. Usually she will crack up laughing and tell me I look & sound ridiculous, and she realizes that she does too. Well... let's just say this was a loud household this afternoon. I couldn't find a shirt that I wanted Lyzzie to wear (Emma's has one that matches) and I was on the phone with mom, thought it might be at her house. Lyzzie chose that moment to throw a screaming fit about god knows what, Emma started to cry, Lyzzie yelled at her, Emma cried harder, and I yelled at everyone! Not my best mommy moment I'm sad to say.

April - when I was in high school, my family went on a cruise and had a painter come and paint the whole inside of our house while we were gone. This painter came highly recommended and I believe my parents had hired his brother before for something else. When we came back, the walls looked great but the rest of the house was a wreck! My dad had gotten a bottle of vodka from some Russian coworkers, and it was missing (I was questioned heavily in this incident... I think they still believe I drank it!). There was paint all over the carpets and messages from girls on our answering machine from all hours of the night. The neigbors told us the painter had all his friends over and had a pool party at our house almost every night!! I'm not trying to freak you out, I guess I'm just trying to say you've got it pretty good if there's just a couple drops of stray paint! Hopefully they will all be done soon and just keep the end result in mind, I feel for you!

Ashley, it sounds like your DH definitely needs to find another job. That would drive me crazy!!

2x2s... I see the technology gremlins are out in full force today. I keep losing my connection too! Copy and paste is my friend today. The new Disney Store is not at the Plaza, it's out by the airport at Zona Rosa. We had not been there before since it is kind of far away, but it was really nice and we would have stayed longer if I had remembered that the stroller was in my parent's car. I can't lug around 35 pounds of wiggling toddler for more than a few minutes at a time! (Hence the "leash" - that girl has a bright future in marathons!!) YAY about your sister! How confusing for those poor kids though: We're moving, no we're not, yes we are, no we're not.... It's a good thing kids are so resilient. Better to find out now than to have them move and then decide, nah that wasn't such a good idea.

Lyzzie saw something about this Ernesto fellow that's headed for FL ... she is worried that it might be too rainy. I had to remind her that last year, there was a hurricane just off the coast and the weather was great - nice and cool, sprinkles here & there but no big deal since the hurricane fizzled out after a couple days. I'm hoping for a repeat performance!

Well I'm off to move the suitcases & assorted vacation paraphernalia off my bed!

Thanks Dznyfan for the tips. Now I have a little note card to take with me for dog food shopping(Ahsley gave me some ideas too :wave2: )...which I need to do tomorrow. I've had dogs 14lbs and 30lbs...so at 74 lbs she goes through food a little faster. Oh...by the way I've been using a Joe's cup myself to measure out her food. :rotfl: She didn't eat this morning but probably ate about 1 1/2 cups tonight. The first ingredient in the Nutro lamb and rice is lamb meal...so I guess that's ok. We have gone a bit overboard on the snacks. We have milk-bones, pup peronis, and my sister brought over some beggin strips today  We are trying not to overdo it. She really is doing well. She will bark a little at night but nothing too bad. I suspect she will be sleeping inside soon...our previous dog did.

Hey 2xcited....I just sat staring at the computer screen....thinking...thinking...thinking....Who is my friend? :confused3 :confused3 I guess that's a little hint to how well I did this weekend. :rotfl2: Please tell me you enjoyed your candy this weekend. Remember...."fruit..natures candy"!!!

My DH packed #4 to take with him on a business trip...but for some reason I'm recalling those pages from memory. :cloud9:

Donna...sorry about your MIL. :grouphug:

Well...I'll do a better job catching up in the am....goodnight cliquers!

YM: I'm so glad Sophie is settling in! Now, don't end up like me...Going through the Burger King drive-thru not for yourself, but for your doggie! I tried to make Ruby sleep in her crate the first few months we had her, and at first she really liked it..The crate is in our bedroom. One night she just started SCREAMING and carrying on and DH was so tired he got up and put her in the bed...she has slept with us every night since! She is so comfy to snuggle with though! :cloud9: (Even though she snores, sometimes louder than DH!!!) :ssst: :teeth:

BTW, this :ssst: is my new favorite smiley!!

You guys know how I've had problems with the smileys..The window wont open up for me, so all I had were the ones to the right of the reply window..Well I just started keeping a notepad document on my desktop, and saving ones that I like whenever I see them! The answer to my problem! :woohoo: (Gosh, I just realized how big of a dork I really am!!!)

I have already received and e-mail from DH that he is through security. He has a 7am flight to Phoenix.

Anybody hungry this morning? I'll try to fix something special!!!
1042R-8268.jpg

Perhaps cut back on my fat- laden calorie-filled breakfasts and eat our healthy cereal and fruit!!!(But remember we can eat it anywhere in the World)

Lyzziesmom:: pixiedust: Here's some pixie dust for your packing and hoping the weather is great!! We had pretty good weather while we were there. I remember last year it rained every day and for quite a long time!!!

YM::Give Sophie a scratch behind the ears for me!!! :dogdance:

2x2s:: Yay, for your sis and her family not moving!!! A good thing they hadn't sold their house, huh!?

To everyone, have a Magnificent Moday!!!!!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna...glad to hear your dh made it through security this morning w/o any problems.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I just spent the past 30 mins catching up. I didn't do much this weekend. I had plans to do so much, but instead did nothing. I did buy a new printer/scanner/copier/fax machine from QVC. I thought that buy staying away from "real" stores I wouldn't spend money, but nope. Not when you have TV and a phone!

Ashley, I’m sorry you didn’t like RH&B. I feel bad, because I went on about how good it was.
I HATE going to Walmart. Mike is there almost every day (he’s a salesman, so he goes in to take orders). He usually just gets whatever we need/want, so I don’t have to go there.
I love the shirt; very cute.
How are the flip-flop crocs? I just got the beach style (the “regular” style) and want to get another pair. Mike is even going to get a pair.
I can’t believe Ruby will just sit in a cart. Leary has “people issues” and we don’t take him to any stores.

lyzziesmom, love the pictures.
Only 4 days left for you!!!

2x2s, Yeah that your sister gets to stay!!

Linda, Kenny is just adorable.
I hope everything works out with your ex. All I can say is Karma. It makes me so mad when people don’t want to pay child support. It’s for your kids. If you love your kids, then you should WANT to support them. Sorry, this is a touchy issue for me (my parents are divorced).

April, I have learned that you can’t always rely on “professionals” to do everything right. You have to keep checking and rechecking. It’s a big hassle, but at least it will be done correctly.

GREAT pictures!! Love them!!

Good Morning!

I am all caught up! DBF and he family were in Chicago this weekend and his sister didn't go so I spent the weekend with her and her 2 kids.

Lyzziesmom- 4 more days!!!! :cool1: I love your pictures! I love the pic of Emma smelling the flowers!

Linda- I love your pictures too! Kenny looks so handsome, and your dress is so pretty, that shade of blue complements you.

2X2S- I'm glad your sister and her family are staying put!

Ashley- 30 more days! :Pinkbounc

I always miss so much when I am unable to log in much on the weekends.....

Anyway.....happy (he says very sarcastically) Monday to everyone.

We had a good deal of rain this weekend. It was much-needed rain!! I think I actually HEARD my yard say "Ahhh".

Linda......Love the pictures of Kenny. Good looking kid. Tell him to give Courtney a call........when she turns 25!!! Ha ha!! j/k.

Speaking of Courtney......What does a 3 year old girl with a broken arm want to do on a Saturday afternoon???
.
.
.
.
ask to play baseball, of course....

Pozey those pictures are adorable! Does Courtney ever take a bad picture?? I can almost hear her yelling from here!

I overslept this morning... woke up to the sound of my mom pounding on my door. She was pretty ticked because apparently she'd been knocking for a half hour. My stupid alarm didn't go off, so I woke up in a panic - with a lovely hairdo... if it was 1978 - and I still don't feel quite right (or "kite white" as Emma would say). Of course, that could be due to the vending-machine chocolate-donut breakfast I had to eat. Y'know, cause I was running late and all.

Had remodeling nightmares all night... funny that I'm stressed about getting everything packed for the trip, yet have dreams about the house. So needless to say, my Monday is not off to a good start.

Donna, did your DH happen to mention if security took much longer than usual? I have no idea how early we should leave for the airport. I can't imagine it would be too backed up, since we are the first flight in the morning and the way KC airport is set up, the security line is RIGHT outside the gate, so there is one line for about each 4 gates. It makes the lines a bit shorter, but it's kind of dumb because the bathrooms/restaurants/shops are outside of the security area. So if you have to go potty, you have to get back in the security line. But I won't care, because I'll be on my way to WDW!! Woohoo, only 4 more days!! :woohoo:
