I think a 1GB will be fine. You may even be able to get more than 320 pictures on it.
I take a TON of pictures; I keep a camera with me pretty much all the time. I find it addictive.
Oh, I wanted to comment on that tattoo. I have one and thought about it for months before getting it (my mom finally let me get one for my 17th birthday, but it took a LOT of pleading). I knew what I wanted and didn't just go and pick one off the wall. I still love mine and am glad I got it.
My brother has a few. He picked a few off the wall and had them done. He likes them, but they don't really mean a lot to him (he does have one that he designed and loves it).
It didn't hurt that much (getting my tongue pierced was worse). Also, I would ask to see examples of the artists work. They should have a book of actual tattoos to see. You can get an idea of what they are capable of doing. Eat before you go and don't take tylenol until after (it thins the blood). Good luck deciding.
