Your son is a cutie! It sounds like ya'll will have a great time. Can I tag along?! :teeth: Hope your DS feels better soon.

Of coarse you can Nicole!!! :) That's funny, that is exactly what I was going to ask you about your trip :teeth: but if you've ever heard someone say "its the last house on the left".... This place IS... it is way out there. That is what they call "up in the hollow" but it's a nice get away. He and his parents own a few hundred acres..there is a beautiful waterfall

DS is so adorable... he tells me all the time "mom, do you know I love you so much?" he is so sweet and sensitive :cloud9: He's a great kid!!

It looks like our trip is still on! :cool1: DBF found a place to fix his truck for a reasonable price and I asked him if he wanted me to cancel the trip and he said no. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes.
:woohoo: :woohoo: YEA!!!! Nicole, this is :bounce: GREAT NEWS!!! :bounce: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Linda, I hope your little guy is feeling better real quick! I've said a little prayer for him.
How fun to have a little weekend getaway. That sounds like Heaven to me.

Thank you April :)!!! I really appreciate all the prayers we can get! I can't wait to get off work to get home to him. I know DH can handle it, but you know how kids are...they want their mom :cloud9: I'll never get sick of that!!!

Nicole :woohoo: I can't wait to start packing!! :)

yes.... all of our cliqueless friends are invited as well! party: :disrocks: party:

Hi Ashley! Just finished up with dinner. I should be loading the dishwasher and cleaning up but I wanted to pop in here real quick. My niece is actually up at my inlaws so it was nice having dinner w/ just DH and myself. Even if it was just tacos. We don't have kids so it's hard to adjust to another person in the house especially an adult one who likes to go and go and go and do. :faint:
Do you have any kids?

She's leaving early Saturday morning and then I'll have to get back to decluttering so that we can get our house on the market. :woohoo: I'm still not feeling the greatest at my incision sites and I'm just don't know if I should call the doctor. I never should have lifted those boxes. It just wasn't worth it and now I'm paying for it. But, DH and I have been talking about moving for months and I'm just ready to get this show on the road!! KWIM?

Anyway, that's what's new and exciting  here.

Part of me wishes I could hire someone to help me. But I don't even know if you can hire someone to help you declutter. An organizer maybe? I guess only "you" know what should stay and what should go.

April!!! If you're still hurting or uncomfortable around your incisions, you might want to call the Dr. It can't hurt to have them check and make sure!! I am definitely not one to rush to the Dr. very often, but you could have hurt yourself! After my surgery in Oct. I couldn't lift over 15 lbs for 3 months and over 50 lbs EVER again!! It was so hard not to lift ds5 up and just hug him as usual.. but I just couldn't. I had tons of clutter and just way too much stuff in general but we've worked on it the past 2 years and we've pretty much gotten it taken care of. It is overwhelming!!! Just break it down into parts and have sales, put the stuff on ebay...whatever works best. It takes time, but you'll be so happy once it's done ;)!

You all have a great evening! ds seems to be feeling better so I better pack for our weekend get away!

I could loan you my mom; she LIVES to declutter. She will have everything gone within an hour. Although, she won't give you the option of keeping anything; it's all gone.

Once, she was cleaning out my grandmothers basement. My mom didn't even bother to look in some boxes and started to burn them. Well, we heard a huge BANG and the fire was HUGE. My grandmother used to sell Avon and had little vials of perfume. Guess what was in the boxes...

OK guys, I need opinions. Should I go to Olive Garden or Rainforest Cafe this weekend? I really like RFC, but it's over an hour away. OG is good, but we just went there a couple of weeks ago. I haven't been to RFC since April.

April-

I hope you get to feeling better. Moving is SUCH a pain..I know what you mean about clutter. I am really trying to get on this kick where I throw things out, but DH wants to keep EVERYTHING! Even Ruby's old gross toys!!! I know there are moving services though..Maybe you can look into those so they can do the heavy lifting? I know alot even pack the stuff. You could pack the breakables. We don't have any kids yet. We want to start trying soon, when we are more financially secure. My DH just graduated from college 3 years ago and his pay isn't that great, its frusterating. Plus with his finanical aid, and credit card debt its hard. As a wedding present, my mom is paying off my 2 credit cards and paying for our trip to Disney. We eloped so they didn't spend any money on the wedding, and my Grandma threw us a party.

Amber
I would choose Rainforest :) I love their food and the atmosphere reminds me of Disney since we go to the one in Downtown Disney!!

I have the opposite problem. Olive Garden is about 30 mins away and Rainforest is 5 mins away. I guess thats what happens when you live on a touristy island:) Cant complain too much as the beach is justa couple of blocks from my house. You would think living so close to the beach you would go more often. In the 2 years I've lived here I have gone about 5 times altogether :confused3

Amber: Another vote for Rainforest Cafe!!! Love the atmosphere!!!!

Linda:Your wedding pictures are amazing and so original!! Your family is beautiful!!

April:Please take care of yourself and do NOT overdo it!! I had similar surgery to yours and I know that you need to be careful!!

Tinkerbell girl:thumbs up on the trip!!!Yeah for you!! So glad everything is working out for you!! :thumbsup2

Off to get DS to get his bath(sometimes that requires a beating or two!!)just kidding!!

It's gotta be RFC. I will drag DH to the one near here when I really need a Disney fix. Just the smell of that place can put me in a better mood.

I spent the day in the pool and now I am feeling it. Luckily I usually don't burn. Tonight I am a little pink and tender, tomorrow I should be fine. After dinner tonight DH and I ran to Best Buy for a computer program DS needed. Yikes, I hate that store. No one knows anything and checking out is always a hassle. I don't know how they do it. Whenever we try to buy something it seems like their computers freeze up.

Oh and there was a teenager, 18-19 years old, with a tank top that said "Future M.I.L.F." OMG!!!! I have a DD that age and there is NO WAY she would even own such a thing!! What are her parents thinking!?!?!

I live in Kansas City - not a real touristy place, but it should be! - and we have a Rainforest Cafe in the mall 8 minutes away. :confused3 In fact, my ex-husband worked there while we were married, so now I HATE going anywhere near it! Too bad for me, because it's a really fun place.

I'm guessing that her parents have no idea what it means, and she probably lied to them when/if they asked her. If what I remember about being a teenager is still true, parents are not real swift about things like that. Of course, now that I have kids, parents have gotten a whole lot smarter!! :rotfl:

Good evening everyone...here I go trying to catch up again!

April - thanks for the complement on my doggie! She is such a sweetie. Looks like I'll be joining you in moving. Long story short - we sold our house back in January, have been living temporarily in the house I grew up in and found a house over the weekend. So...I have been over there all day cleaning (the owners have already moved out) so we'll be ready to move in a couple of weeks. So...I am also getting in declutter mode here. Ugh..I hate moving.

Linda - I love your wedding pictures! I wish I would have gotten married on or near the beach! Hope your son is feeling better soon.

Nicole - I'm glad you didn't have to cancel your trip!

Amber - One more vote for Rainforest! I wish we had one close by here.

Hi Ashley, dolphinrescuegirl, DonnaLeah, Michele, lyzziesmom!!!

Wow, I don't know where this thread is heading! Anyway, I'm cliqueless and confused. So count me in.

I have lived in Houston my entire life (23 years) and haven't been to the beach in over 13 years!!!! I have been there about a handful of times. It is just so yucky to me. I do like the strand though. I prefer Corpus's beach because I have family over there and it seems a little cleaner.

Amber- I vote for Olive Garden simply because I love italian food!

:cheer2: I just bought my airfare for my bday trip to Las Vegas in November. After that I'm not taking anymore vacations for a year! Well... except maybe WDW if they offer free dining next year.
