For you Lyzziesmom, Emma and Lyzzie. You have to remember that Emma is a part of YOU and you are the loving mom who is raising her, not her father. She is her own little person and you must see her as this. She has you, her big sis, and your family surrounding her with all the love and attention that she will ever need and someday, when she is older, she will see this. Good luck to you with her name change--this shows us right there how much you love and care for your little girl!!
Oh, and I am a midwesterner and very open-minded. I will never judge you or the situations you have gone through!!

Pozey--I am so sorry to hear about your father. That had to be devistating at that age. Your poor mother--but she sounds like she was a strong lady!!



Oh, wait--just remembered something--now that you mentioned Reba.
My dad's distant cousin--3rd, maybe-- was the drummer in Reba's band way back when--when they were in the plane crash. My dad was a drummer and when this guy was a kid, he came over all of the time to hear my dad play the drums. I don't know how old he was when he was killed in the plane crash. I didn't know him, however.

My mom's aunt and uncle have 16 children--all single births. Now, only one of their children have less than ten children themselves. They have over 100 grandkids and ?? great grandkids. I would hate to be over there at Christmas!! That poor woman didn't know her adult life without being pregnant!!


Oh great--puking stories now?? I have the weakest stomach ever and when I was little, if the dog puked (gricked--as I used to call it --not a long "i"), my mom would yell--"get what's her name out of the room"--because I would take one look and it and would get sick--then my mom would have two messes to clean up.

I have the most embarrassing story ever about "losing my lunch" when I was little--I'll have to think about sharing it though.

Then I asked him how full of crap he was on the Behind the Music thing on VH1 (answer: about 98%). All this while hanging out at his buddy's house on the couch. I wanted to make it quite clear that I was not some kind of Icee groupie! You know that little filter in your brain in that says, "Hey dummy, maybe you shouldn't say that!"? Yeah well -- alcohol turns mine off but allows my mouth to keep running. I'm lots of fun at parties.

Wow, I used to go to church with a family that had 15 kids... the oldest was a girl and the rest were ALL BOYS - can you imagine?? I guess they were trying for another girl? I don't know, but that woman always looked so tired. Can't remember where we lived at the time, maybe Texas?

2x2s... have you ever seen Don Juan de Marco? I remember watching that with a girlfriend when it came out on video and even my mom was swooning over JD, and she does NOT swoon.

And thanks for the words about Emma. It took a while and was hard to do, but I can now see & love her for who she is. And what a little character she is turning out to be, too!! I wish you all could see her - words just don't do justice to that child's antics.
