So sleepy. So sore. Got lots of wrapping done while watching Dreamgirls, didn't get to sleep until nearly 2am. Fell asleep with my glasses on, lying flat on my back -- the absolute WORST position for my back. Woke up to 28 degree weather, it's supposed to get into the 60s today. Which is lovely, but again, bad for my back. I can feel it in my arm too, the one full of hardware. Then tomorrow, back to the 20s and snow! Fun times. Lyzzie woke me up at 4am, "Emma is pooping in her bed." Then I noticed Lyzzie was sleeping in her clothes! She must have been so tired after talking to her dad that she just dropped into bed. Like mother like daughter!!

My coworker and I are taking bets on when/if we'll get the call to close up early today. Sometimes we close early before a holiday, sometimes we don't. Gotta keep us on our toes! But there's always very little notice. Our usual closing time is 4:30. I'm betting we'll get the notice between 4 and 4:15. My coworker says 4:29!

actually, I just got off the phone with YM and they are with Linda, Mike and Kenny at Tom Sawyer's Island. They found a PAINTBRUSH!!!! They had a nice breakfast at CP this morning and having a great time.



Lyzziesmom----I had a similar night----dozed off after work on the sofa----woke up at 5am still there and in my work clothes. Lovely.

I have my cards ready to go -- pictures inside, every one signed, return address labels on -- and then remembered my STAMPS haven't come yet! Hopefully today. I tried to check my order online but the post office website is down, oh no!!

Oh my goodness, I just read something that makes me so mad! I was reading an article about men and divorce, and about how many of them don't see it coming. The article goes on to try to say that post-divorce men generally have it much worse than commonly thought, and are financially worse off than women. I do know some instances where this is true, so I'm not offended by the author pointing it out. But he goes on an on about how women make out like bandits and men are victimized. Then the article gives this little gem, which is the part that really ticks me off:
"Indeed, every year men are actually thrown in jail for failing to meet their child-support obligations. In the state of Michigan alone, nearly 3,000 men were locked up for that offense in 2005."
As if it is such an outrage that men should ACTUALLY be expected to PAY their child support! Oh the horror!! Give me a freaking break. It was an interesting article up until that point -- I'm not sure I want to read the rest now. That just really struck me the wrong way.

It's been kind of quiet around here today!!

I called YourMajesty this morning during her CP breakfast. Tigger and Pooh had been to the table already and Piglet was on his way! She was blessed with my rendition of "Happy Birthday To you"; I hope she was able to digest her breakfast properly after that!!

Hi Donna! How are you doing tonight?

We are leaving here Sunday afternoon to go to my parents for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning and leaving from there Early Christmas afternoon to spend the rest of the week in MI. I can't wait, except I wish I had another week to get ready. With everyone sick (DH is sick now, big baby! ) I am a bit behind. We have a party to go to tomorrow and I never did get any cookies made for it. I don't feel like it tonight.
