The boys are at the Boys & Girls Club. They wanted to go to their grandparents house, but my FIL got into an accident yesterday and totaled his truck. So, I guess they are out truck hunting or something?

Linda...what kinf of pies did you order? Are you having company over for dinner? Sorry Kenny won't be with you. Hey...is Disney still going to be a surprise for Kenny? I'm hoping to knock out some packing this weekend. With this last cold burst I think I can finally put most of the boys summer sutff up. Just yesterday the high was almost 80.

The boys are out of school today. We slept late this morning. I got up to fix DS some oatmeal and then cleaned up the kitchen. I jumped back in bed with the heating pad for a little DIS time. My mom called shortly after I had jumped back in and my DS told her I was still in bed.... That little traitor. I told her I just needed a break.

I ordered a dutch apple and a chocolate cream. YUM!! then my mom is bringing a pumpkin and another one she hasn't decided yet and she's bringing macaroni salad I love her mac. salad!! Her and her bf are coming over, and so are my sis, bil and 3 munchkins it should be fun. they're all disappointed Kenny won't be there though. My neice Lauren just LOVES her cousin Kenny she's so adorable!! No, Kenny knows we're going,but that's all I told him. I had to b/c I had to give his dad notice and of coarse, he asked him if we were REALLY going duh!!! wow...80 sounds great! I can't wait to start packing. I guess since Kenny will be gone for 4 days, I should get a lot done... oh what a traitor yes, breaks are nice!!! Are you ready for tomorrow?

Mike made deviled eggs this morning I love those! I think that is it so far. I should have made the pies, but Dutch Heritage makes them sooooo good and they're only like $6 works for me!! asparagus..yum! Mike is trying to grow some in the garden! sounds very tasty! sounds like a very good time!!

Yeah, him and Kenny have had a few eggs, I'm sure! yeah it is a great amish restaurant that makes the best pies...and cheap! I'll stop by there, no problem! When we ran in Monday to order them, Kenny picked out a 3' piece of gum he wanted and some other little goodies I let him get he was in heaven! I usually don't ever let him get "junk" like that
I guess the asparagus takes like 2 years before you get anything...so we'll see. I hope it does good. The thornless blackberries are looking pretty good too!
I'll have to check that out too....Kenny would get a kick out of seeing himself on there

Hello, I hope everyone is ready for tomorrow! I still have a mostly frozen icky bird sitting in my fridg. Now what to do with it!?!? It looks like a dead headless little body in the pan. The sight of it makes me want to turn vegetarian!


Well I got over another hill today with Maddie's speech and language. We decided after talking to her teacher the other day that we were going to take her to a private SL/pathologist no matter what it cost us. I asked the teacher if she felt the school was doing all it should for Maddie and if she thought we should take her somewhere. She said she "couldn't" tell us what to do, but we "needed" to do what was best for our child (hint hint wink wink). Even she is getting frustrated for Madison.


So I told DH to call the insurance c just to check one more time. We have been told for 5 years now that INS won't pay for it, it is something we have to take up through the school. So DH called and they do pay for it! She gets 30 visits a year and it's a $30 copay which to me is a bargain!


I called to get a referral today from her ped and I got sorry, we don't do that, you have to go through school. (me screaming) Not what I wanted to hear....again! So I sort of went off on the poor girl on the phone. I guess all my built up frustration sort of got taken out on her. Finally she said she would have a Dr call me.


Meanwhile I had DH call the INS again and make sure the info he got was correct (they have a habit of saying one thing, and talk to someone else you are told another). He called and sure enough it is correct and the guy from the INS called the Peds office and told them they needed to write the referral! I am so excited, I've been in tears. I can't tell you how happy I am that a (small) weight has been lifted off my shoulder. I just hope there isn't anymore hurdles.

Day 2 Part 2

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!

We left AKL and headed over to the MK so we could then head over to WCC for dinner. We walked around the resort for a bit and then checked in for our reservation. We were seated quickly since the resturant had just opened for dinner and both ordered the skillet. It was great! The salad was very good and so were the ribs and I rarely eat ribs. I saw the meat on the ribs and said I must have one! We quickly finished our meal so we could go to the MK. Once there we got our wristbands and went to go see Mickey's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" show. (They are kind of blurry, sorry)

It was very cute!

All the pics you see of the castle lit up do not do it justice. It is beautiful. I am sad that I couldn't get a good enough quality pic to post.

I highly suggest you all go to the MK this holiday season to check them out!

After the show we went and rode a few rides, they were not at the top of our list though, since we were going to be there the next day. We rode the Haunted Mansion (my fave MK ride) which was great, I love all the new stuff they have put in it. The we walked around for a while munching on sugar cookies and hot chocolate and decided to ride the Jungle Cruise. There was no one else in line! So we got on a boat and our skipper asked us if we wanted the "Secret Spiel" or the regular spiel. Of course we said we wanted the secret spiel! (I'm sure you all know the secret stuff, like the boat is on a track, the water is dyed etc.) She then asked us if we were CM's and we said no, but that I hoped to become one and told her that I applied for the CP. We then started on the ride and we talked about both the ride and the CP all the way though. She told me some not so good news about what my main choice was-vacation planner- she said that many of the CM's there are full time and don't really like the CP students since they are only there for a few months anyways. We then finished the ride and another girl from the CP (All the CM's working there were from the CP) came up to us to get us off the boat and we started talking again, they were so nice telling me things about it and giving me advice and tips. She asked if we wanted to ride it again to hear the regular spiel and we said yes, so we stayed on the boat and waited for other people to come. Well, no one came so we sat in the boat for about 5 minutes chatting with almost all the Jungle Cruise CM's about the CP and watching them goof off! It was so funny! Then more people came and we were about to ride again when one of the boats got off track and our boat was going to have to pull the boat to try to get it on track. So they kicked us off the boat.
