Hey Lyzziesmom!! Glad you had a good day, even if it was expensive. I really want to see Enchanted!!!

I'll post the recipe for the pretzel salad, but I'm not sure if you'll like it! It sounds weird, but tastes really yummy....My Mom and Grandma have been making it for me for as long as I can remember!!

Pretzel Salad

2 c. crushed pretzel sticks
3/4 c. melted butter
3 tbsp. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries, partially thawed

Mix first three ingredients and press in bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees (metal pan) or 325 degrees (glass pan) 8 minutes.

Let cool completely.

Beat 1 cup sugar and cream cheese.

Fold in Cool Whip.

Spread over pretzels.

Mix Jello and water until dissolved. Add strawberries. Stir into Jello, then set aside for 10 minutes.

Pour over cheese mixture. Chill.

We are looking to see if the camera we want is anywhere for Black Friday...while I was looking I found the ad for Target and they are having 1000 thread count sheets on sale for $19!! (For either the fitted sheet, flat sheet or 2 pillow cases) I don't use the flat sheet so I am going to just get the fitted sheet and matching pillow cases!! :cloud9: Last year on Black Friday we got 800 thread count, I guess we are movin' on up!!! I even have Jeremiah spoiled now.

Does anybody have a good recipe for Baked Mac and Cheese?? I was supposed to call my Grandma today to get her recipe but I forgot and she left to go to her other house....Her recipe calls for evaporated milk and flour, but I have no idea how long to cook it for and what else to add....:confused3

OH! I forgot to tell you guys something exciting. My Grandparents were chosen to (possibly) be on the show "Sell This House" on A&E. Their realtor nominated them for the show, and the producers came and interviewed them on Monday!! The producers saw 6 different houses, and they are choosing 2 to be on the show. I'm not sure when they find out if they are on though!

Dang it, I want to see the elf thingies! They are still not showing up on my computer, and it's making me mad because my home computer NEVER misbehaves! Even if I go through the OfficeMax homepage, I can get the ads for the Elf Yourself and click on them, but it just takes me to a gray blank page. Stupid elves!

I saw the funniest thing today. I was driving around the Target parking lot looking for a good parking space. It was cold and windy outside, and the rainy/snowy stuff had recently stopped falling. A renegade shopping cart came out from between two cars and went rolling across the lot in front of us, and it rolled itself right into the cart corral! It didn't even bump the sides or anything, just rolled straight on in and stopped about halfway to the back. I wish I had my camera with me to take a video of it, if I hadn't seen it myself I would not have believed it!

Day 1

We got on the plane and headed over to Orlando. Now I wouldn't include this since it's just your average plane ride, but Steven being Steven, made a friend on the way over there. You see once he warms up to you, he talks alot! Lin and Chris got a small taste of this when we met. :teeth: He started talking to a woman who was staying at the Fort Wilderness campgrounds for 25 days!!!! Lucky!!! Her parents have an RV or something like that. I really wasn't paying too much attention to their conversation because I was listening to my iPod. :music: They talked for almost the entire plane ride! So I'm glad he was entertained. We landed and headed over the the ME desk and then waited on the bus for a while before we finally headed on over to AKL. The resort is beautiful! Once there, I checked us in and Steven headed to Zawadi Marketplace because he forgot his toothbrush. We got a upgrade to a Savannah view room!:yay: :woohoo: :cool1: We headed on to our room and the first thing we did was see if any animals were out in the savannah. There were 2 giraffes in the distance. :woohoo:

Day 2 coming soon.

That is how Blake is...no matter where we are he can start talking to someone like he has known them forever. And usually he has..I swear, we have been in the strangest places and he will run into someone he knows. Strangest time...I was in the hospital. The orderly/volunteer was wheeling my gurney to my room and was going past the waiting room to get Blake. Low and behold...they used to be neighbors and just start chatting. I'm laying on this thing in a hallway feeling like crap, going "excuse me?? Remember me!!!"

Whoo Hoo for your upgrade!!:cool1:

I forgot to mention, I haven't heard anything yet about the CP. :( I'm starting to worry that maybe I didn't get in. Wednesday will be the 2 week mark from my interview, so I guess on Friday if I haven't heard anything yet, I'll send an email to the representative. :( Yesterday when we were at DTD I thought about going to the casting center to see if they could tell me anything about it. I'm just so impatient!

Good Luck with the CP! I wouldn't worry too much, with the holiday things might just be taking longer.

That's what I told Mike, but he disagreed. Apparently, he will be a defensive end (preferably for the Redskins).

Linda, Mike can be like that too. He won't remember a conversation and then get upset with me. Those are the times I'd like to smack him.

Hey, we know one of the Redskins. Well actually he is injured this year and not playing. Jon Jansen. His mom was Matt's 1st grade teacher. Actually because we held Matt back she was his first grade teacher TWICE. The first year Jon was captain of the Michigan team, won the National title that year. The next year was his first year for the Redskins. We have so much stuff signed by Jon. This is a pic of Matt with Jon. Matt is the smaller one on the left.

2xcited2slp...where are you...we need you back...we care about you...we want to get you DSL!!!!:lmao: :lmao: (hope you are laughing)

2x2 WE MISS YOU!!!

The boys are out of school today. We slept late this morning.:woohoo: I got up to fix DS some oatmeal and then cleaned up the kitchen. I jumped back in bed with the heating pad for a little DIS time. My mom called shortly after I had jumped back in and my DS told her I was still in bed.... That little traitor. :rolleyes1 I told her I just needed a break.

:rotfl2: That little stinker!!

Hi Ash...sorry you are still not feeling well. Hopefully you'll get plenty of rest over the weekend. Maybe you could have turkety soup tomorrow.;) Can you believe my DS...how dare he make me look bad to MOM.:rolleyes1 Both of them love to tell Grandma all about my shortfalls (I might have one or two).:rolleyes1

Ok...see...with lyzziesmom that's a few not liking deviled eggs. Maybe some other cliqueless friends will vote as they drop by.:yay:

Linda...hope you didn't have to sit in traffic all afternoon. I was going to take DS for his allergy shots but it got so late I didn't want to mess with the traffic. :scared: I just went next door to get DS because he hurt his ankle. I think I just mentioned in a post earlier today about him rolling this ankle frequently. I had to give him a piggy-back ride home. Hopefully he will be able to put some weight on it after some ice.:confused3

Count me in as another who doesn't like deviled eggs!!

Your poor DS! Did he do something major to it or does he just have weak ankles?? How nice that you carried him like that...wait...this isn't the same DS who outed you to your mother is it? If it was, I might have dropped him, quite by accident of course!!:rotfl:

I am so mad right now! The Drs office called and said they still won't write a referral. They said that even tho the the INS said it will pay, they won't unless they know they will see significant improvement. What the heck!!! I said that all I want is the referral and if the INS pays great, if not, fine! She said to fax them all the reports I have from the school and the Drs will see what they can do or offer suggestions. I am so pissed right now I could scream. I was in tears talking to this girl for over 20 mins explaining what we have gone through and how all I want right now is her to be tested. :sad2: Now I can't do anything till next week because of the holidays and then we will hit the Christmas holiday and even more delays.:sad1: Why is it so impossible to get a child the help they need? I just don't get it, this system sucks, and the no child left behind is a bunch of BS!!! Sorry, I just needed to vent a little.:sad1:

Oh and I still have a frozen dead bird in my sink!:scared: Gotta get a hold of DMIL to find out what to do with the darn thing. Hi mom if your reading this.....I need turkey help. :flower3:

That is ridiculous!! You aren't asking them to diagnose her only to let someone else look at her:headache: I'm sure you will work it out. It will just take time!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they get picked!!:upsidedow

Ok it's official....I am losing my mind!!!:headache:

I'm sure this is a 'good thing' but it is just too weird for me!!

Lilly went to see Santa tonight.:santa: I will post the pictures as soon as I get the disc back. The crazy part...

Bree and her boyfriend and Zach and his girlfriend all went together to take her! I'm sure it's a good thing that they are all trying to get along but...wow was that a visual I never thought I would have to see.

Have a great night!

hello strangers-----

oh wait, I've been the stranger lately. :sad2:

I'm at my parent's house right now, hence the computer availability----mine is slowly getting better.:lmao:

I had the norton installed, but haven't found the time to update it, so I am still computerless. (is that a word????)

anyway, I just had to pop in and say hello to my cliqueless kiddies.

I know I have missed so much, but I hope all is well with everyone.

I feel so bad too, that I missed MICHELE'S birthday----

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!!!

I need to run----I am baking right now and I need to check on my accomplishments.

p.s.---I saw Enchanted tonight-----VERY CUTE!!!!

until next time------

princess:

Nicole, thanks for sharing your mini trip report. Sorry you have to work black friday!! is Yankee Candle having any great deals?

On Friday, the gift sets are buy 2 get one free. I'm not sure what Saturdays, and Sunday's specials are. That recipe sounds good!

Then we went to see Enchanted. It was really cute! I loved how Disney was poking fun at itself, there were all these little things and I'm sure a ton more that I didn't notice. We all really liked the movie, I would highly recommend it.

I thought that was going to come out next weekend. I'll have to try to go see it tomorrow or this weekend. It looks so cute!

For some reason this is making me laugh hysterically.

Me too! :rotfl: I'll have to see if I can make one too.

Lesa-That's not right. Vent away!

I have only worked at Yankee Candle two days and I already broke something!!!! We have a really small stockroom and I was putting a piece of cardboard in the trash and I heard something fall to the floor. I broke a snowman! So I picked up the pieces and took it out to the manager and told him what happened. I thought he was going to be mad but he wasn't.

Oh yeah, our temps dropped from 75 yesterday to snow today. My sinuses are going nuts, not to mention my bionic arm and my poor back! I'm a wreck!!

That would be ME!! Eggs.... yuck! The only way I like eggs is baked into a cake or cookie. I can't even stand the smell of them cooking.

Good guess! :thumbsup2 (thumb)

YM: Oh your poor DS, I hope his ankle feels better. I have weak ankles and I've learned how to feel a roll coming and counter it, but I used to sprain them all the time. I had one ortho who wanted to put pins in both my ankles to strengthen them, he said I'd be in a wheelchair for 3-6 months. No thank you!

Those elf things aren't working for me, I just get a blank gray screen. :sad1:

lyzziesmom...eek you had snow today. I don't think we dropped below freezing. Yes, DS has weak ankles and flat feet.:headache: I think I would pass on the pins and being in a wheelchair for 3-6 months too.:scared:

Wow Ashley...you Grandparents might be famous!:woohoo: Girl...you are making me want some new sheets...maybe I will cheek them out at Target!:rolleyes1

Count me in as another who doesn't like deviled eggs!!

Ok...I think we are about 50/50 on the deviled eggs! Michele you are quick! Yes, it was the same DS that ratted me out to my mom! I carried him on my back down the stairs and all...I could have missed that last stair and landed him on his sofest spot. :lmao: He does have weak or as the PT described them...loose joints.

I totally agree with the above statement. Maddie needs an assessment with the speech therapist to see if she needs treatment. We had a very hard time getting this for my DS and the PT assessment. The pediatrician was quick to write me a script for the assessment. He originally told me to call the school...before he was even in school? The school told me right off I'm wasting my time. The PT was willing to see him with the script from the DR. All it said was evaluation and treament for PT. The insurance company dragged their feet forever over the evaluation. They wanted more documentation from his ped. :confused3 I'm like it's an evaluation...either you pay for them or you don't? It was like they were trying to decide if he even needed the evaluation? Whatever...they eventlually paid. Good luck Lesa.

Hey Nicole...I saw your green light. I was up working on my pies. Sorry about your mishap at work. Glad you boss wasn't mad.:thumbsup2

If I don't have time to check in the the morning...I sure hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving!:goodvibes

Hello and good night!

Hey 2x!!!! Have a happy thanksgiving!!!!!

Nicole, we were always breaking things at TDS, its just what happens when you work in a store with breakables! Funny thing though, as I started to type this Chris dropped an empty bottle of vanilla and it shattered all over the place...odd.

And now I have forgotten what else I was going to say!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Turkey Day! I am THANKFUL for you all!

2xcited2slp...well, I must apologize about the collection. Ok, here's the deal...you dish out the money and we'll work finding someone reliable to install it....deal?

You know...they usually need access to the attic and it can get hot up there...I'm thinking someone similar to this for the job.........................................

Will that work?:lmao:

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
I have to run a few errands before we hit the road....I am going to pick up a few things at WFM where DH works...they open at 8. I woke up when his alarm went off (5:30!) and cant get back to sleep. Of course when I get my shower, you know I will be wide awake! BRRR....
My sis is in town from TX so I will go over to my others sisters house to visit for a while, if I get all my packing done I will have more time to play!
I hope everyone has a great Turkey day. After we leave I dont have computer access. I will try to check in before we go. and Happy cooking everyone! I highly recommend the pretzel salad! Its a tradition in our family!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving.

Good Morning, crew!

My weren't you all just a busy bunch around here yesterday!! I tried to get the highlights in...

Lesa - I'm sorry about your frustration regarding Maddie. I just don't understand what the problem is - and c'mon, just a referral even? I'm sorry, but how difficult can that be?

Lin - funny what you said about "too sweet" for Kate..... considering that she just finished up being Abigail Williams in The Crucible. Talk about not sweet! She was pretty convincing - and scary.

2X - nice to see you drop by last night!!

On deviled eggs - LOVE them.. but I make mine with miracle whip, not mayo.

Lyzziesmom - a shopping cart with a mind of it's own... well, at least it knew where to go!

Nicole - more trip info and pics, please!?

Pozey - once again, just drop that cheesecake on the front porch, please.

Hi, YM!!! :wave2: We need to do lunch soon!

So, I'm not cooking much this holiday - YAY! Going over to some friends' house for the holiday, and so I just picked up Cheesecake Factory pumpkin cheesecake at Sam's last night... after eating at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. DH leaves right after the meal to go hunting, and this is 'decorating' weekend for me.

My dad's photo book is coming along - takes a while to build it, and I'm not even done. I've scanned/photoshopped/restored over 300 photos now. I've probably got another 10 page spreads to go, just placing photos. Ugh.

Well, I'll catch up later.... I hope.

OH!! I almost forgot!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I'm also thankful for all you wonderful friends!

Good Morning, crew!
Morning and Happy Thanksgiving DznyFan!!

On deviled eggs - LOVE them.. but I make mine with miracle whip, not mayo.
Me too.
I also use chopped up pickles instead of relish.

Pozey - once again, just drop that cheesecake on the front porch, please.
You got it!!

Hi, YM!!! :wave2: We need to do lunch soon!
Yes!!! (as long as I'm invited....)

I just picked up Cheesecake Factory pumpkin cheesecake at Sam's last night... after eating at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.
Well.....there goes your homemade cheesecake......you are cheating on me with the Cheesecake Factory.

Good morning, everyone!! And...

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I woke up this morning before my alarm went off. I had kind of a late night last night. While at my sister's house my mom did something to her leg near the knee area and couldn't walk on it for quite a while. She was trying to go up the stairs from the basement and pulled a muscle, we're thinking.
Anyway, sis drove Mom's car home and Mom and I followed in my vehicle. We peeled and sliced potatoes, got the turkey ready and in the oven and got the dressing ready for the broth this morning. It really made for some quality mother/daughters time that didn't involve being at work.:goodvibes
She seemed to be doing fine when we left and made her promise to get to bed and stay off the leg.
I ended up having a pb&j sandwich for my dinner last night...Yummy!!!

Lesa:: That's a crock that the peds office is giving you the runaround!! What is their problem anyway? Do you have another ped. or family dr.that you've taken Maddie to recently? May be they could help.
Good luck with your turkey!! I think you can just put it in a cooking bag and bake it so long for each pound??:confused3

Nicole::I worked retail for over 25 years. Have fun!!:santa:
I'm glad that your boss understood about the broken snowman; I'm sure those things do happen.:upsidedow

Ashley:: Hope you get to feeling better!:goodvibes Your Pretzel Salad sounds delicious!!

Michele:: I guess it's good that Bree and Zach are working to get along. I'm really curious to find out how the evening really turned out. I don't think I could have been so nice as to share the moment with another girlfriend.:headache:

YourMajesty:: I see you were up late baking pies. I'm sure they will be yummy!! I'm making my Greenbean Casserole...what else?
I hope your DS is doing ok by now. I almost hurt myself coming home late last night. Just as I was putting my foot on the step into the house, Buddy put his paw down. I was afraid I would hurt him, so instead I lost my balance and kind of did a 180 as I was falling. Luckily I wasn't hurt. I think I could have laid out there all night if I had been hurt.

2x2s:: Hello girly!!! I thought you may be at your parents house, just baking away!! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!!
Yes, I think you have heard too many horror stories about high-speed connection!! The guys will come in and do their jobs and leave!! I don't think our installers went into the attic, but you may get lucky!!!pirate: :teeth:
ps....I'm enjoying some Kona Coffee right now!!:goodvibes :surfweb:

Lin:: That elf thing cracked me up!! You and Ash did such a super job, that I Elfed my family.....it's hilarious!!!:lmao:

Shannon:: Have a fun weekend!!

DznyFan:: Have a good time at your friend's house!! I think I will probably start decorating on Saturday morning. I like to get it over with, so that I can enjoy the tree and decorations that evening!!

lyzziesmom:: I want to see Enchanted. Nathan said he would go with the girls, so we may see it either Fri. or Sat. evening!!
I hope Emma's last years' dress still fits her. I bought Nathan a new red sweater, but it's way too big. I took it back to Kohl's to exchange it, but didn't have the size he needed. I decided to keep it and try another Kohl's or save it for next year.

pozey:: You and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I would love a piece of your cheesecake.....if you have leftovers!!

Well, this post is getting long; it's going to be time for dinner before I get finished if I'm not careful!!!

I'm so thankful for you guys!! Where would I be without my Cliqueless pals?:grouphug:
