Good Morning Everyone!

Well, it looks like I will probably be going on medication for my diabetes. My levels had been really good, but now they are starting to creep up. This morning my fasting level was 103 (needs to be under 95) and after breakfast it was 183 (it needs to be under 135).

The doctor told me at my last appointment not to be too worried if my levels did start going up (even if I was eating the same things) because the further along in pregnancy, the more insulin resistant you become.


I hope everyone had a good weekend. We didn't do much.

Morning all! Happy Monday!!!

I'm waiting for Maddie to finish her neb treatments so I can get her to school and go shopping. Tomorrow is DHs 40th birthday and I have nothing, it sort of creeped up on me like everyone else's. He says all he wants is a guilt free hunting trip......Not quite sure what he meant by that!

YM...I find the neb does a much better job when her asthma flares up. She doesn't do her inhalers well enough to get the medicine properly. I only use the daily inhaler and then her albuterol when we're out and for school. She was really wheezy again this morning, but we have a big change in the weather coming so no surprise.

Amber...I'm sorry your levels are going up! Your almost done and everything you have to do will be well worth it in the end!

Make sure you sign up for unemployment right away, since there is usually a wiating period.

When I came in this morning I noticed my tray with all my work was gone. Which was odd. The owner and manager have it. And when the manager came in to her office she told me that we were all being laid off. So far noone else knows.

I just went to Chanel because their foundation rocks, lasts forever, is really natural and light, but that might change for me since they discontinued my shade!

I used to wear Chanel foundation, I loved it! It got too expensive for me though at $50 a bottle, but it lasted forever. The one I like now is Sonya Kashuk tinted moisturizer, it's sold at Target for about $11 and reminds me a lot of the Chanel foundation, it is very light and gives good coverage and blends really well, and since it's in a pump dispenser it lasts a long time too. Glad you got a good night's sleep and avoided the crankies!

How exciting!! I just might take you up on that, it depends on how well my Mickey head decoration peels off of my old car. If it doesn't come off well, I might ask you to pick up a new one for me. And probably a new Minnie antenna topper too, mine got pretty faded from the sun. Gotta Disneyize the Cruiser!!

Amber: Sorry to hear about the meds, I hope they work for you. I'm with you on the needles *shudder*! I had a diabetic friend in HS and it used to creep me out to see her give herself the injections when we had sleepovers. She'd been doing it so long she was used to it -- I can't even imagine having to do that every day! Best of luck, just keep thinking about the end result and you'll be strong enough to do whatever you need to!

Everyone? Is the company going under? Wait... was it you whose paycheck just bounced? I hope you're able to get paid, that would be horrible if they can't even pay anyone! Good luck finding a new job, and like Amber said, get to unemployment quickly. I am SO sorry.

Nicole: Is the trip already paid for? Are you on the DDP? If so, you should have very little OOP expenses and I would suggest going. Look for work between now and then, and look some more after you get back if need be, but if it's already paid for then it can be a great time for you to get away from the "real world" for a short time and just have fun. I hope everything works out! Even if you're not on the DDP, it IS possible to eat cheaply in WDW, just not at all the nicer places. If you're not a big eater, you can order off the kids menu at most CS places (and some TS too!) or split meals to help keep costs down. Good luck deciding what to do!

I agree with Lyzziesmom. Plus, if you apply for umemployment today, then it should start by the time you leave.

If you are on a package, then you will lose your deposit to cancel.
