Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Well it took 5 hours of car shopping and hard decision-making (NOT one of my strengths!!) but I finally did it... I bought the car!! And I LOVE it!! It's not one of the ones I went to look at, it was at a different dealership and I was so proud of myself, we went to look at the other ones first and got a pretty good price. Then went to lunch, then went to the 2nd place to look at this 2007 with only 9000 miles on it and I basically told the guy, "Look, I'm about to buy a 2005 with more miles, but it's got a ton more options. Here's the price. If you can match that, I'll go with this newer car from you." He wasn't going to do it, so I got back in Mom's car and he ran after us, then lowered the price again! And the best (and scariest) part is, I did it all by myself in my own name, with my own credit. I did like the features on the older car, but I'm totally happy with this one too. The color is awesome, the picture does not do it justice at all. It's sort of dark grey/purplish and changes in the light, VERY cool but understated and not flashy. Did I mention that I LOVE it?? I feel like a teenager with a new license, I want to drive everywhere!! (Except into my garage -- man that's a tight fit!:scared1: )

Good thing I love this car -- because I'll be paying for it until Lyzzie is 15 and Emma is 9. :scared:

We went trick-or-treating at the mall and it was pretty good. Each store had someone sitting at the store entrance handing out candy, so we just went up & down both floors and then left. It was very organized, everyone went along the same side and even though it was really crowded, there wasn't any yelling or pushing. We might have found a new tradition. The kids got a ton of candy! I even saw them denying candy to older teens and adults - the employees would just shake their heads, it was great!

Nicole: That would be SO cool if you could get into the CP!! Looks like the Vegas trip might have to be rescheduled -- I don't want to say cancelled.

pozey: Very promising job news! Awww, I feel honored that we're the first to know. Y'know, before we all got to know one another, I thought all the 'buddy-buddy' stuff I saw between other people online was just fake, joking around. Now I know it's possible to make real friends this way, thanks to all of you.

sssshhhhhhhh.........
it's very quiet around here this afternoon.

Oh sorry, that's because I wasn't around. :hyper2:

Michele: Lyzzie said the same thing happened at her school with the clocks changing, she just thought I forgot to tell her about it! The timer changed on the doors at work, and they were not unlocking on time on Monday. It was a huge pain and they didn't get it fixed until today... only to change it back in a few days. I don't understand why they moved the time change by a week, it's crazy!

I'm on my way!!! The hot tub would feel great on my back right now!!

Oh mine too, it's killing me.

I am sitting at Mike's office and he is freaking out. One of their vans just died (probably the transmission) and they are trying to figure out what to do.

I know that feeling! If it's the company's van, then they should be the ones renting a replacement, it's NOT Mike's problem if he's not an owner. Please refresh my memory, what does he do? I hope his employer gets it figured out.

Lin: Yes, drama class requires a lot of work. I remember a lot of kids taking drama thinking it was a "filler" elective that they could just blow off -- boy were they wrong! They made it so hard for those of us who really wanted to be there.

DznyFan: LOVE the pics, they look great! Hope the pumpkins are enjoying their tv night.

Michele: Awww, I bet Lilly makes an adorable Hunny Pot. Can't wait to see her!!

Veeeeery nice! That car just "looks" like you!

Thanks! It feels right too. When I drive my mom's van I hate it, it's so big I'm not comfortable in it. And my dad's car, a LeBaron Convertible (that he traded in today) was too low and long in the front. But this car... I don't even have to think about it, it feels like an extension of me. I drove my last car for 7 years and never liked it, just got used to it.

Well, time to go raid the candy buckets. ;) I accidentally left my book at my mom's house so I can't read myself to sleep tonight. :sad1: It was getting really good too!

Hi pozey, I'm here! Not for long though... I'm just too excited to sleep. I've been going nonstop since noon and it's hard to wind down.

thanks, pozey. how was trick-or-treating?

We had fun. Since the houses in our neighborhood are so far apart, we always go to Battle Creek. We park at one of my former bosses house and then walk around that neighborhood.

Love the pics pozey! The kids look great. Courtney makes a gorgeous kitty! I love the one of her and Chase, the look on her face is priceless.

Popping on real quick!

Lyzziesmom- Congrats!!!!! That's so exciting!!!! I love the color of your car! Yes our trip might have to be rescheduled. I'm being my wishy washy self and debating the pros and cons right now.

Lin- Only 5 out of 17 passed the test? That's sad!

Michele- I can't wait to see pics of Lilly dressed up as a Hunny Pot!

Dznyfan- Great pumpkins!

Pozey- Great pics!!! Courtney looks so cute!

I love trick or treating! I went with Steven's sister and my niece and nephew. I had a blast! We got a late start and there were hardly any kids out, so my nephew barely got any candy. But he still had a good time.

lyzziesmom......just read your post about your car. That is awesome!!!! GREAT for you!!! I'm so happy for you. And I bet the girls LOVE IT!! Don't they?

Howdy kids!

Great pictures everyone!

lyzziesmom...congrats on the car. :woohoo: :dance3:

We had a busy evening. Hopefully I can post a picture or two tomorrow.

Nicole: Sounds like you had fun! That's too bad that the kids didn't get much candy. Mine always get too much -- we still have lollipops and pixy sticks from last Halloween! They actually got just the right amount tonight, enough so they thought they made out like bandits, but not so much that we have to "throw out" too much (or in other words, Mommy eats it). Then when we dropped Lyzzie's friend off at her house, her mom gave the kids handfuls and filled their buckets to the top!! I kept telling her to STOP!

Grrr... I love my new self-cleaning litterbox, but the darn cat keeps accidentally (I think) unplugging it so it's not cleaning! And Dusty continues to go everywhere but the box - I knew something was up today when I saw her and as soon as I said her name she ran away with her tail between her legs. Sure enough - poop on the living room rug. And a wet laundry room rug. And Roxy lost her collar, again!
They're lucky they're cute!

pozey: The girls DO love the car. There were lots of shouts of "Oh cool!" and "Look at this!" from the back seat all the way home, and Lyzzie pulled her friend's arm off dragging her outside to see it. She even showed her friend how the back seats fold up, and said, "It's so easy even I can do it, and I'm just a kid!" I still can't believe it was affordable, and it's practically new. Lyzzie has named it "Petie." Get it.. PT?

It IS pretty cool.

Hi YM! Can't wait to see the pics.

Petie!! I love it...:lmao:

Lyzzie is sharp as a tack!!

lyzziesmom...I like the name! I'm a little partial to Petie. That's so sweet that the girls are very excited about the car too. You did good!

I guess I'm going to call it an early evening tonight!:cloud9: :cloud9:

This is what scares me: (one of the many things, really)...

When I was Lyzzie's age, my dad came home with a new car. It ended up being my first car.

Hi YM!!

Good morning, everyone. Happy 1st of November!! I can't believe the time is going by so quickly!!!

Hey lyzziesmom!! Cool ride!!:cool1: To quote someone's tag....ooooh, shiny!!;)
Sounds like Petie is going to be a welcomed addition to the family!!:cheer2:

DznyFan:: Loved the pics of the kids working on the pumpkins. Too bad Erin was feeling kind of icky.

Lin:: I can't believe only 5 kids passed the test!!!:scared1: Maybe you'll make a believer out of them from now on.:confused3
I absolutley LOVED the witch from Snow White!!

Amber:: Glad to hear Mike was in a good mood despite the stressful day!! I hope the owner can step up and take responsibility for getting delivery vehicles, Mike shouldn't have to worry about that!!:headache:
You still feeling good? Has little Spencer been an active little boy?:earboy2:

Let's check out what 2X2S is up to today!!:woohoo:

Konab3.jpg

I hope you all have a Thoroughly Awesome Thursday!!!

PS..I guess you all heard about the Jan-Feb. AP room discounts. I think I'm driving myself CRAZY!!

Amber...Sorry about Mike's crappy work! Why doesn't the company just rent a truck if theirs broke down, why would you guys have to rent one?

His company is HORRIBLE. They have no company credit card, so they rely on the workers to pay for things and then be reimbursed. :headache: During the summer, the AC in the warehouse broke and Mike had to go buy the new units (over $700). They did reimburse him, but it took forever. They still owe him money from other purchases. :sad2:

The company is more worried about little stupid things, then the big issues. I could write several novels on how bad the company is. Still, there aren't many places around here that pay what Mike makes, so for now he is stuck. :guilty:

He is a salesperson and manager. Hopefully, he will just be a manager starting the first of the year, but there are no guarantees (although, that is the plan).

You still feeling good? Has little Spencer been an active little boy?:earboy2:

I'm still feeling pretty good (knock on wood). There are days he's really active (like this morning around 6am). Last night, we were listening to music and he was kicking a lot. I can't tell if he likes it or wants it to stop.

Lyzziesmom, congrats on the car. Very nice! :thumbsup2 (thumb)

I love the pictures everyone.

Have a great day!

Good Morning!

And thanks for the Tonga Toast Donna!!

Good morning! I still have to catch up but...great pics pozey!!

Any of you on Facebook?

hope everyone has a great day, love the breakfast Donna, thanks!

Good morning!

Pozey...Great pictures, the kids looked really cute in their costumes!

Lizziesmom...Congrats on your new car!:yay: I love it!!! Doesn't it feel good when you can do something on your own! Way to go!!! :cheer2: Petie...that's too cute.

lin...great job on the witch pumpkin! I hope you don't get any parents calling you to complain about their kids not studying for their test.:sad2:

Dznyfan...I love the castle one! I have to admit I couldn't figure out who the other pumkin was, then I asked Madison and she told me it was Ariel. :rolleyes1 I should have thought of giving Britt gloves to wear for cleaning out her pumpkin!

Amber...Isn't it amazing how the baby can hear and respond to sounds?:cloud9: Glad your still feeling good! Your in the home stretch now, the baby will be here before you know it! The company makes the employees purchase things they need because they don't have a credit card?!?!!? I hope they reimburse with interest!:scared1: What company did you say he works for?

Nicole...If you can do it, I would definitely try for the CP! :yay:

Maddie was up late last night coughing and wheezing. :sad2: Then she couldn't go to sleep after her neb treatments. I'm letting her sleep in again this morning. Luckily the only thing she misses in the morning is gym, which she should do right now anyway.
