Guess who's back??? :sad1: We had such a great trip! :cool1:

I'm trying to catch up a bit before I post about the trip.

Hello to all my cliqueless pals...I had to drop by Bonnie's thread and put a comment in.

We need some breakfast...maybe birthday cake?
Am I missing someone's birthday?

The Pin-cess was here.:worship: :worship: Thanks for cleaning out your PM's.:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

I got DS to the allergy clinic today and they don't think he has an infection in his lungs just some mucos plugging from his asthma. I have to call back later this week if he is still coughing. If Lesa was reading this she would really be doing the   becuase they weren't wanting to give him an antibiotic. So... we will just wait and see and hope he improves.
  Why do they do that? It makes me so mad that the kids have to suffer longer. I swear everytime Maddie goes in for the whole coughing and wheezing thing they end up having to give her an antibiotic after all the other "treatments" don't fully work. Why don't they just do it to begin with and shorten the time of her feeling crappy? I hope your ds is doing better!!:flower3:

Ugh.....Madison just lost her tooth in her donut and I lost it down the sink rinsing it off. :sad1: I feel so bad! :sad2: She takes forever to actually lose the tooth once it's loose because she won't touch it and she freaks out. :scared: I think this one was loose for about 8 months.:rolleyes1 Anyway I am not on her happy list right now.

howdy, Your Majesty!!

In honor of Harry Potter-palooza, I'm feeling a bit British. I am trying to use more British phrases (like "wonky" and "toffee nosed") and I have changed my MSN avvie to this:

It reminds me of you! How are you doing? And why dont' you have something royal in your siggy? :teeth:

That's a bloody nice picture.;) As for the siggy...the royal part changes with my mood.

Hey Lesa...welcome home.:yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo:

Can't wait to hear about your trip.

You didn't miss anyones birthday the cake is for breakfast....my food pics are limited.;)

Guess what...DS is still coughing. Thank goodness he seems to be improving. He usually stays "dry" but this cough has been so gunky. Hey my younger DS is 7 and he's only lost one tooth because his dear brother pulled it out with a washcloth he yanked out of his mouth in the tub. It was a little loose. It's been out for several months and there's no permanent tooth coming in.:sad2: Hope Maddie "forgives" you about the little sink accident. :flower3: We think my oldest DS swallowed a loose tooth in the night?

Good Morning!!

I see Lesa beat me this morning. It is so nice posting on an actual keyboard instead of that tiny Blackberry.

I am trying to get unpacked and organized, yeah right!!:rolleyes1

Since I just looked in my magnifying mirror I now know I will be spending most of the day plucking...I am resembling Sasquatch!!

I will try and upload some pictures today and get some posted as soon as I can.

We had a blast...the heat and crowds got to me more this trip than any other but it was still Disney so it was all good.

Briana informs me that she and Zach are 'back together' I'm sure it won't last, he has had 3 GF's since Lilly was born. They have worked hard to get to a good friendship, I'm afraid they will blow that and this whole thing is going to get more difficult. Oh well, not going to borrow trouble. My mom talked to her as we were getting on the plane last night....Lilly laughed for the first time!!! Of course I wouldn't know since I wasn't here then and she isn't here now!! Bree worked last night so Lilly spent the night at her dad's.

I'll check in later....Have a great one!!

:scared1:

Sorry to hear that your son is not feeling well. And I hope you find that lost tooth!!

Thanks Bonnie. He's on the mend!

Hey Michele...good to see you back!:dance3: :cheer2: I could use a trip to my eyebrow lady too.:rolleyes1 I can't wait for some pics...no pressure.:rotfl: Glad you guys had a nice trip. I hope everything works out with Bree and Zach...I could see how you might be holding your breath.

Hi Lesa, welcome back! Lyzzie lost a tooth somehow, I don't remember what happened but she wrote a note to the tooth fairy telling that her tooth came out but she lost it -- the tooth fairy left her a dollar that night instead of $0.50 because she really liked the note. ;)

Michele: Oh the drama of teenage dating! I hope it works out for them but I wouldn't count on it. Sounds like he has a bit of growing up to do in that department. My thoughts are... a vacation together + some time together while the parents are still away = renewing the "relationship." I hope that's not TMI for you! Who knows, maybe they just decided to give it a whirl for Lilly's sake, wouldn't that be nice?

We watched the last 1/2 of Disney's Robin Hood on tv this morning, I wish we'd caught it from the begininning because the kids had never seen it. They liked it but didn't really get what was going on. Emma even turned off her Leapster so she could hear the tv! If you knew how much she plays with that thing, you'd know what a BIG deal that is. I wanted to see Ratatouille today but I forgot Lyzzie has a party to go to at 3pm, so that kind of puts a dent in the middle of the day. I think we'll aim for tomorrow instead. While Lyzzie's at her party, I'll take last week's TDS receipts to the mall and see if any prices have gone down for a price adjustment. I've spent like $120 there this month! :scared1: :headache:

YM: Thanks for the breakfast! There's nothing quite like cake for breakfast - with the possible exeptions of cheesecake or key lime pie. Good thing I went shopping yesterday so I had a nice tall glass of cold milk to wash it down. :thumbsup2

So what's on the agenda for everyone's weekend? It's only Saturday morning and I'm already feeling like the weekend is slipping away & there's not enough time to get it all done!

Just got the mail and today was a good mail day around here! Got those memory cards from buy.com, and my Lean Mean 13 book came today too. Also some free samples of pantiliners but those are not nearly as exciting. ;)

Good Afternoon!

YM- Thanks for the cake!

Lin- Great pics! I have the same Bellagio pic!

Welcome back Michele and Lesa! I can't wait to see pics!

Hello All!

Welcome back Lin, Lesa, and Michele! I can't wait to see pictures.

Everyone must be busy today, it's so quiet around here. I went to TDS and most of their clearance stuff was down to 40% off the clearance price - I got a price adjustment on the stuff I bought the other day and got $15.90 back, I couldn't believe it! It has been a good day.

The new carousel at our mall opened today, it's so cool, it's a double-decker. I've never seen anything like it! Of course we had to ride it, and Emma wanted to ride on the top level. It felt really weird up there. They have a car on the bottom level that spins like the teacups, there's only one and it seems quite popular. I took a picture with my cellphone of Emma riding the dolphin on the top level:

Bonnie, I read the Shopaholic books and they are full of great British phrases. I've picked up on saying, "spot on"...

Lyzziesmom, Lean Mean 13 was excellent!!!!!! Enjoy! Emma looks pretty dern cute on that dolphin!!!

Who wants to join me for some breakfast pastries at All Star Music this morning?

Is everyone sleeping in today like I did? I had a rough night sleepwise, and my little angels let me sleep in this morning until 10:00 am, I couldn't believe it!!

My parents are on their way over to help with a little house maintenance, my mom picked up a cedar chest from her neighbor who was tossing it out because it had a broken leg. They are bringing it over to fix it up and voila! I'll have a coffee table AND extra storage!! That'll help the eternal messy living room. Then we are hanging curtains and flipping my mattress, and working on a ceiling fan. And I hope to take the kids to see Ratatouille today too. So much for a lazy Sunday, huh?

Guess I'd better get dressed before they get here. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Lyzziesmom! It looks like you going to be very busy today! Have fun at Ratatouille today. It looks like a good movie.

Thanks Nicole! I'm still waiting for my folks to get here, they just said they were coming "soon."

I was telling Lyzzie about the cashier we had at TDS yesterday. She must have been either new or just weekend help. She was very young, so imagine everything in a young teen/valleygirl voice. First she asked the time, I told her, and she said, "Oh good, only 10 more minutes. My feet are KILLING me, I've been standing all day and dealing with people." When I asked about a price adjustment, she said, "What's that? Oh I don't have a clue if we do those thingies. Lemme go get my manager." Then, while the manager did the adjustment, we were right next to our original cashier and heard her talking to the next customers. They bought Ratatouille stuffed animals. The cashier asked if they'd seen "that ratty movie" yet, and then remarked, "Yeah I haven't seen it but it looks cute. It looks like one of the only, like, cartoony kind of movies that I would actually, like, want to see and maybe like."

Lyzzie was HORRIFIED when I told her about this girl! It was actually pretty funny - her mouth dropped open and she made this "harrumpfh!" sound. She said, "When I'm old enough, I'm going to work either at the Disney Store or Disney World, and I would NEVER act like that! You just can't DO that!"

I was so proud. :)

I mentioned that my DIS friend Lin is a manager at TDS (did I get that right?) and Lyzzie was very impressed, as if I knew royalty! She said that's got to be the coolest, best job ever. Besides working at WDW.

"That ratty movie" :lmao: I wish I would have been there!

I wish I had TDS in my mall. :( All the others are kind of far. Hey Lin, tell the people at TDS to build one in my mall! ;) You think they would, they've been remodeling the mall for a few years.

I just got back from the mall (my second home) and bought some cute tops. As if I need to spend money. But they were all on sale so that makes it okay!:teeth:

Afternoon/Evening everyone. How is everybody doing?

How was your weekend?

The weekend just FLEW by.

Friday night, I came home and mowed. It has been SO RAINY here. And I had not had a chance to mow since we left for vacation. So, I mowed Friday.

Saturday morning DW went in to work for a few hours. I took that time to rake up the grass from Friday nights mowing. Yes, I have a mower that mulches, but I still needed to rake the grass. I filled up eight (yes 8) 42 gallon sized trash bags.

When DW got home we decided we wanted to go to a movie - but we couldn't decide between Ratatouille or Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer. So we thought....why not both?

"Adopted" daughter April agreed to watch Courtney while we went. I gave her some money to take Courts to Incredible Pizza or wherever they wanted to go.

So, we went to eat a late lunch first - we went to Abuelo's. Then we caught the 4:40 showing of Ratatouille. It was a good movie.

Then we saw that FF4 was starting at 7:15, and it was now 7:00, so we bought tickets and went to that. We enjoyed that movie as well.

Then we went home. April and Courtney had gone to Incredible Pizza and then to the mall. April bought Courtney a pair of Nike shoes just like her own, so that they could be "twins". :rotfl2:

We were standing outside, watching fireworks being shot off in the distance. DW wanted to walk on the treadmill for awhile so the rest of us packed into the Tahoe and went in search of where the fireworks were coming from.

Today, we just basiclly had a kick back do nothing day. I did go to the grocery store about 1 p.m. Then just a little while ago, we all went to get a haircut - well, me and the boys got a haircut.

Then we went to the mall to exchange a shirt at the Disney store. Speaking of which..........DznyFan....is Erin enjoying working there?

Now, we're back home......kicking back watching National Treasure.

We just got back from watching Ratatouille (aka That Ratty Movie). It was really cute! There were several laugh-out-loud moments. Emma didn't like "the little guy" because "he was mean to the blue mousie." The girls were very good... until after the movie. We took our ticket stubs to TDS to get free pins. They are not tradeable, but are very cute. Lyzzie was so excited to ride the new carousel in the mall, but the top level was closed so we rode on the bottom. She did nothing but pout afterwards, so I told her if she didn't appreciate it she should give me the $2.00 that the ride cost me. Needless to say that did not help the situation. We got cookies at the mall which I would not have gotten had I known they cost almost $4 each - but by then they were already in a bag in Lyzzie's hand. What did the kids say after eating these ridiculously expensive cookies? "I want something else to eat." Then we went to Blockbuster to return movies. One was scratched so we got to pick out one more. Emma cried the WHOLE time, "I want a movie, I want a movie, I want a movie!" I stood my ground and said no, it's my turn. She didn't take that well and cried for a good 20 minutes - I think she was/is just tired. Then of course I snapped at the girls in the car and made Lyzzie cry -- I think my exact words were, "Maybe you two would appreciate nice things better if I took them away for a while. Maybe you'd know how nice I am to you if I didn't let you leave the house for a year, then when we did maybe you wouldn't crab at me about it." Yeah, just call me Mom of the Year.

This is the kind of day when I'm glad I get to go to work tomorrow.
