DznyFan - I think I found you on the AllEars newsletter! This sounds awfully familiar:

So how's my detective work? Is that you?? Nice job!
Girl, you're good.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've been published - (we've subscribed for years). I also have a photo on the rate and review area of their website.

You know what's funny - my memory is SO bad.... I thought I remembered the Hybrid graphic as being green - but when I looked at a BAD pic that my DH took of the bus at night... it's white. My bad. :confused3

Wow, Pozey - what a spectacular place! It must have been breathtaking in "real life".
Courtney has this look like... "aww, dad!... do I HAVE to???"
It was more breathtaking in "real life". Just the sheer magnitude of the Canyon is hard to describe.

I am pretty low-key, but just kept saying "wow" to myself a lot.

And yes, Courtney was pretty tired on our hike. It was pretty warm and we hiked about 1/2 a mile each way. But we took it slow and sat down to rest several times.

Hi Ashley! For the 4th, there is a corporate office park in our city that always does a fantastic fireworks show. We try to go every year. We like to arrive early, get a good spot, and go visit all the vendor booths. It's like a fair, there are tons of giveaways and junk food, and the fire department and police are there with trucks and cars the kids can sit in. They always get plastic fire hats and lightsticks and just a lot of junk. The fireworks last about 20-30 minutes, Emma is always scared but then she's sad when it's over. My parents usually join us right before the fireworks, as they could care less about all the other stuff that goes on, but we like it. I just wish we would have Thursday off too, becuase we always get home SO late - they block off the roads so you can only go one way, and it's always really clogged. Last year it took us over an hour and a half to get home - about a mile away.

pozey: I love that picture of all three kids, where Courtney is standing up on the rock. She looks so proud! The cabins sound really nice and something totally different. Another great installment, thanks!

Linda, glad you had fun yesterday!! I don't really like coasters but Jeremiah LOVES them. I'm sure he would love it there!!!

Nicole, Kenny makes great company ;) He is a riot.

Happy Wednesday everybody!! And I'm guessing for most, next week is a short week with Wednesday being a day off! Anybody have plans for the 4th of July?? Jeremiah & I always want to do something, but never end up having any plans :rolleyes1
yes, he would have a blast!!

Kenny is a riot, just don't let him sit on your lap...huh Donna:lmao: :rotfl2:

4th:rolleyes1 no plans yet... I doubt we'll do anything except enjoy the day off!
yeah, Linda, that's me.. just put me on the kiddy rides! :rotfl:
I think one of his favorite rides was the tilt a whirl:laughing: crazy kid!

wow lyzziesmom...good eye ;)!!!

Pozey- I love your trip report!

Dznyfan- That's cool you got published in All Ears!

Ashley- No plans yet for July 4th. I had forgotten it was next week!

Not me. I never forget a paid day off of work! :lmao:

Our next paid holiday isn't until Labor Day, and I'll be in WDW!! When I lived in FL it seemed like we got a lot more paid holidays, because most employers gave the major Jewish holidays as days off since there is such a large Jewish population in the area where we lived. I didn't mind, it was like a "free day" for me! :rolleyes1

We have no plans for the 4th. We will probably just stay at home.

pozey, there is no way Mike could stay in a place with no TV (no matter how beautiful the scenery). He has to have ESPN each morning and video games at night.

that's how Yellowstone is too... I couldn't believe for $130 a night you get no tv and a tiny room...it forces you to go out and see nature:rotfl:

Ok, you're not going to believe this...I only took 45 pictures all day at Cedar Point...I was too busy riding and Mike didn't want me taking my camera anywhere...:rolleyes1

there were very few spots our phones worked but the bad part was that there was a pretty major attack or something that we totally missed b/c we were totally disconnected from the real world. I can't wait to go again. Talk about piece and quiet!!! The animals were fascinating. We will definitely go there again.

Well I signed up for TGM and so far I am not impressed. I'm going to look around the site some more tomorrow at work, but I've seen a ton of outdated information. The Little Ones Magic Hour and Magical Beginnings information is all from last year, and it still talks about Cinderellabration. I just don't really see anything very useful... but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough. But I might have to take advantage of the satisfaction guarantee - we'll see.

Linda: great pictures! Only 45?!? Are you feeling ok? ;) I know the feeling... sometimes I don't even bring our camera to places we go often, because I just want to enjoy being there. Of course that's when the kids go & do the really cute stuff.

When we went to Branson a few years ago we stayed in a cabin, but there was a tv. We rarely used it though... we did 2 theme parks in 2 days with a 2-month-old (Emma) and were too pooped to watch tv! At least I was, I have no idea what my parents did because I was sleep-deprived and not paying attention.

Lyzziesmom, yeah some of the info is outdated. I use it mostly for the "best days" and his sample tours.

The forums are really helpful. I would look for Monica's cards. They are great.

Of coarse!!!

I use to never bring a camera either b/c I was the only one there to take care of Kenny when he was little...but thankfully now w/Mike in our lives and w/him getting older...now I get to go crazy:woohoo:
