Good evening my Cliqueless pals! We are back from Omaha and had a great time, the girls were SO good. I only had to go into "mommy mode" once, to yell at them to quit yelling

because the walls were thin at the Super 8 Motel we ended up in. We got a little lost in Downtown Omaha and the nearby hotels were sold out due to some College Bowl playoffs going on (???) but we found a room in nearby Council Bluffs IA and it was actually pretty nice. No pool, but we were only 5 minutes from the zoo and the room was clean and breakfast was free. The Omaha zoo was AWESOME, we actually went back for a few hours this morning and still didn't see everything but had tons of fun. Definitely worth the trip. The weather was perfect, we couldn't have picked a better time. It was forecasted to be 89 but it was cloudy and felt more like 76-78, just so nice. I of course took a ton of pictures and will put some up soon, maybe tomorrow because I'm pretty pooped today.
Yes, it is rather quiet here today.
That's because I wasn't here, I'm sure. I type everyone's eyes off!
Michele....Gary just got a new Blackberry that has a GPS; it's a hoot!! We were in my MIL's apartment complex today. As we were in the elevator going up to the 3rd floor; it told us we were in her town, traveling at 2 mph. It failed to mention we were traveling vertically!!!!
That is hilarious! I have no idea how those things work, but 2mph sounds like a pretty speedy elevator.
There's a guy/friend of ours whom we used to work with (back in my 'other' life as a musician) who is doing a documentary on us - and where we are now. We filmed an interview last night.
Do we have a celebrity in our midst and we didn't even know?? Or did we know and I somehow missed it? Let us know when/where we can see this documentary, it sounds really neat!
Gary and Nathan are going to a slot car race later this afternoon. I may take the time to look for a new bathing suit and some shorts that fit.
Good luck with that - I'm not sure which is harder to shop for. I have 2 pairs of shorts, they are 2 different sizes but both fit ok. They both are a little shorter than I'd like but they're not daisy dukes or anything, thank goodness! I don't look right in the long bermuda style, but I have such a hard time with shorts because my legs are long but my middle is thick.

I usually stick with capris but in WDW shorts are a must.
Well, now my Vegas trip is up in the air. My cousin has to work those days, she is a flight attendant. So I have no clue what I'll end up doing.
Oh I hope you end up being able to go! A flight attendant, how fun. I used to want to do that, but my mom always called it "a waitress in the sky." Nice. I hope you can work something out. I'd go with you if I could!
I am so excited I can't stand it... Mike told me to book us a trip for wdw for over Christmas!!!!!!

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself!!!
Wow, how fun! You lucky duck. I'm sure you'll have a great time, isn't it so fun to be planning a WDW trip again? First DVC, now this... you must be doing something right.

We are 16-22th right now but I'm thinking of changing to 18-25...
I'd go with 18-25 because it's one day more.
we'll definitely be there

I'm looking at trying 16-26th...

I'll have to talk to his dad though

b/c he's supposed to have him x-mas eve... shouldn't be a problem though.
Eh, if Kenny's dad is anything like I'm imagining, he'd be relieved not to have him on xmas eve... can get away with spending less on him that way.
On our way out of the neighborhood on Friday evening, I noticed a swingset in a driveway a few streets down. I called my parents and they went over, it had a FREE sign on it so they picked it up, cleaned it up & painted it (purple & green - Tink colors!), and put it in our backyard. The girls are so excited! It's just a rickety old metal set like we had when we were kids, but they love it. Emma had me put her on a swing (it was a little too high - I've since lowered it) and she was really shaky and unbalanced but insisted that I get behind her and push. So I did, very gently, and of course she slid off. The chain hurt her hand - not badly - and she gave up and came in to watch tv.

I'll have to get some plastic chain guards, but otherwise it's perfect.
We stopped at a fireworks store today and picked up a bag full of sparklers, jumping jacks and other little ground stuff. I'm so excited, and I hadn't realized it but it was Lyzzie's first time picking out fireworks! They are illegal here in KS, even sparklers

but you see kids with 'em all the time. I looked last year in MO but couldn't find any. We're going to have a ton of fun, and I think we bought enough for the next couple of years too. Oops!
Sorry so long, I had a lot to say! Hi to UnderDog, Amber, MICHELE!!, Lesa, and everyone else.
