Thanks Lesa and Linda. Even though I know he needs the filling, I hate spending the money (I mean I could be putting that money towards WDW :cutie: ). Hmm, Mike with no teeth :scratchin On second thought :scared: I guess he'll be getting the filling.

:lmao: yeah... definitely get the filling.... esp. since its a FRONT tooth:rotfl2:

Linda, you sound like me when I was in school! I would study like crazy so it seemed like I knew what I was doing, and then right after the test I'd forget it all because I didn't need it anymore. You're studying up for Mike's "test" on DVC... but I'm sure you won't forget it all because you'll actually be using it! (take me with you!)

oh yes...that is exactly what I did too in school:rolleyes1 but I don't forget the dvc so much b/c I actually like it and will use it:woohoo: no problem... come on

Well, we do live in WV. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl:

Well the guys are almost done with the kitchen floor. I must say they are much quicker than David. I think it took him about 3 weeks to finish and even then it never really got finished he just gave up. :rolleyes1 Looking at it you would think it was slate tile, even the grout looks real. I am very impressed with the look of it, you have to really look at it to tell it's not real tile and it won't be cold in the winter.;) I told David, now we need new cabinets because they look old and outdated with the counter top and floor.:rolleyes1

pozey, that doesn't look to bad. My 70-300 starts out about that big, but then when I zoom, watch out!
I know what you mean. I have a Tamron 28 - 300mm zoom lens. This one:

It's big when zoomed all the way out.

Linda: Cute email! For Florida, I've also seen, "God's graveyard" and "Where everybody's grandma comes to die!" Not very PC, but pretty accurate.

My whole living room is wood paneling! Yikes!! I'm still trying to figure out what to do with it. I could just paint it, but I'm not sure how it'll look. I've seen textured paint that they make specifically for covering the cracks in the paneling, but it looks like a lot of work and I'd be afraid of it chipping off. But even with five windows along two walls, it is still just so dark in there, I hate it. Of course it doesn't help that my decorating uses sort of dark colors, greens and burgundys and golds. I want to paint the walls like a goldenrod color (my accent color in the room) but I just don't know how to make it not look like painted paneling! Oh well, at least it's not grasscloth.

I'm off to the dr. in a few minutes here -- back to the pain specialist. I know he's going to be upset that I haven't scheduled my physical therapy yet, but I did tell him I wouldn't be able to start for several weeks. I really don't want to at all, but he's insisting that I just "give it another try." I think if it didn't work the first 3 times, it won't work now.

:rotfl2: Those are too funny!

pix???? I have ceramic tile on one side of the duplex, but not the other side...maybe I should put that down on the other side:rolleyes1 they need new cabinets too...or at least updated since its dark laminate...and I really need to do something in the LR... they have 2 walls that are wood paneling:scared: that's gotta go!

It was over half of what the ceramic tile would have been. I'm sure the real tile would have looked much better, but this was a nice alternative.;)

 Well I knew things would not go smoothly! They measured wrong and now they are short 2 boxes. They won't be able to finish it all before we leave.

I know what you mean. I have a Tamron 28 - 300mm zoom lens. This one:

Is it wide enough for you? I can't decide if I will be happy with a 28-200 (although the price is good), because I use my 18-55 a lot. I do prefer "up close" photos, so I think I will be happy with a 28 (I'll just back up to get a wider shot).

it doesn't look horrible, but like you said, it is just too dark and that makes the rooms look smaller. It is a huge LR and I think it would just really help if it weren't the paneling. I was going to look and see if I could just have dad put drywall right over the paneling or what:confused3 it probably has to be torn down first...but I'll have to check that out. the duplex is such a nice place, it just needs a few updates that would really make a big difference!!

we bought tile at a great price at Hope depot and did the bathrooms. and like you... I didn't even think if it would match the sinks:eek: thankfully it matched really well!
 Well I knew things would not go smoothly! They measured wrong and now they are short 2 boxes. They won't be able to finish it all before we leave.
:scared1: oh no!!!! I'm so sorry Lesa:hug:

Yeah, normally it is wide enough for me.

I also have the 18 - 55 that I can use if I need something a little wider.

Well then I think I will go with the 28-200. I can always get the other if need be. ;)
