I don't think I like wine as much as I like the presentation or the idea of it. It is just cool. But lets try some it will be fun!:thumbsup2

Have a great Monday. I'll see you again at breakfast unless your still here! :rotfl:

Good morning, Crew. And good morning to you, too UnderDog. :sunny:
I feel like having some Jelly Donuts this morning. Grab a cup of coffee or glass of milk and join me!!

I hope you all have a Marvelous Monday!!!pixiedust:

Well, today is Nathan's last full day at school. This is their Play Day. I think the teachers have organized a Great Race theme and he is supposed to take a roll of masking tape to school!! Wonder what's up with that??!!

DznyFan:: I can't believe that you were in thae water during your lessons for five and a half hours!!! Sounds to me like you're in great shape!! I got a little panicked one year snorkeling in Hawaii.....it just kind of hit me that we were way out in the ocean and it was a LONG way down to the bottom!!! I almost hyper-ventilated and had to get back to the boat!!
:woohoo: :woohoo: You've got tickets for POTC3!!!!pirate:

Underdog:: That is such a sweet pic of the little boy and dog!! The dog seems to be praying right along with him!!
I see you found out I shared a birthday with John Lennon.
Thanks for the snack!! I'm saving it for this afternoon.:goodvibes

Nicole:: Don't forget to get those Pirates tickets!!!pirate: :dance3: pirate:

Well, better run!!! My sis is going to Six Flags with my niece's 8th grade class, so it's going to be a boring day at the cleaners today.:bored: I wish we could have just closed and had a three day weekend; I could have gone to WDW for a few days or something.:rolleyes1 Oh well, I'll take my Stephanie Plum book and try to catch up on my reading.:cool2:

Catch you all later!!!:wave2:

Good Morning!!

Donna, it's already the end of school? That must be nice; my brother has to go until June 8 (I believe).
Perhaps the masking tape is for a 3 legged race (at least, I hope so).

Dznyfan, I bought POTC3 tickets too (8pm show). I am SO EXCITED!!!! We hardly ever go to the movies and never on opening weekend. I can't wait!
Good luck with the scuba. I can't imagine 5 1/2 hours.

Lyzziesmom, it sounds like you had a great time at the amusement park.

Michele, nice to hear from you. You got to meet Spiderman, eh?
That must have been so weird.

I am done shopping. Between Walmart, Disney Store, Michaels, and a few clothing stores I am done. The Disney Store did have some cute things; I went in there just to buy a skirt, but ended up with a tote, a salad bowl, and serving spoons.

Mike is so mad today. Last night, he gets a call from one of employees. The guy was in an accident and totaled a company car. He was driving it yesterday and hit a pole (he said he was trying to avoid a dog). The car was NOT supposed to be driven because a.) it had NO registration sticker (they weren't using this car anymore, because it needed to be fixed) and b.) he was off the clock and using it as his personal car. He got a $300 ticket because he had no proof of insurance and no registration. He called Mike and was upset, thinking he was going to get fired.

They are allowed to take the vehicles home, but are NOT allowed to drive it when not working. The guy knows this, but decided to drive anyway. Mike doesn't want to see the guy fired, but the company owner is probably going to do so. The guy was so upset and thinks he's going to be arrested, because he wasn't suppose to be driving the car. I told Mike that the guy knows better and he has to suffer the consequences.

Well, have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning Glories----

I have a plumber coming this morning so I had to rise and shine earlier than usual on my day off. I've already been up for a while and feel like I'm ready for a nap already.:lmao:

Miss Donna----thanks for the jelly donuts------what?? no BOSTON CREAM??:cutie:
I hope Nathan has a good last day of school. Sounds pretty fun to me.
I'm sorry you weren't able to take advantage of the possibility of a three day weekend and a quick jaunt somewhere. Surely Stephanie will keep you company.

Underdog----awww, that is the sweetest thing!!!!!!! Someone you know, or curtosy (does that look right spelling wise??:confused3--doesn't to me for some reason) of the ol' web??
I think you may be looking in my window-----Ice cream, English tea AND wine?? You're just serving up all my favorites.

DznyFan----oooh, it sounds like you got quite a workout!!! I'm sure you'll be able to master it very soon. Mind over matter, mind over matter. (easy for this claustrophic girlie to say, huh??)
I would LOVE a copy of Erin's performance (when you have a chance, mind you).

Nicole----I have never had a mojito. That is why I asked. What all goes into one?? I like saying it though----mowheeeeeeetoe.:lmao: I know----IMA DORK is my name.

Gotta run----would be nice if I am out of my jammies when the plumber man arrives.

Have a good Monday everyone!!!

Hi Amber!!

Wow, I don't know quite what to say. I feel bad for the guy, BUT if he was told not to drive the car for personal reasons, that rule should be followed. He should realize that things like this happen when you're doing something you're not supposed to. I'm sorry Mike has to deal with this. The guy should have know better. How long has he worked for the company??

Done shopping, huh??;)

have a good day.

Hey, Donna!! Thanks for breakfast! Yum!

How cool is this? :goodvibes
AllDogsGo2Haven.jpg
That is awesome. :goodvibes

Amber, well if the guy wasn't supposed to be driving the car, he shouldn't have been driving it - and I agree - he needs to pay the consequences.

2X - I will get you a copy, when I can - not sure when that will be... I may just give the DVD to a geek friend of mine and have him make me a bunch of copies.

DznyFan:: I can't believe that you were in thae water during your lessons for five and a half hours!!! Sounds to me like you're in great shape!! Nope - horrible shape! Sorry you got panicked snorkeling - stinks that you had to cut your snorkel trip short. There's no way my DH could scuba, either - he's terrified of the water - I couldn't even get him to snorkel at Castaway Cay!

OMG I am SO SORE today!! :rotfl: There's not a muscle in my body that doesn't hurt.

Lyzziesmom - hooray for Lyzzie being brave and daring this weekend!!

Underdog - thanks for the wine and treats. :thumbsup2

:wave2: Howdy, everybody I missed!

He's worked for the company for over a year. I do feel bad for him too, but he was told point blank not to take the car (previously, he used another company vehicle for personal reasons and it broke down. Mike covered for him then and told him never to take a vehicle again). So, he did know better and knew that sometimes things do happen.

I need to be finished shopping, although I did see the CUTEST pair of espadrilles...:)

Michele: That's too funny about Spiderlady! I may have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. My mom's neighbor let the kids name their pets - resulting in a cat named Spiderman. It's pretty hilarious to hear my mom say things like "Spiderman peed in our garage again!" or "Spiderman ate all my tulips last night."

2x2 I found this on my freebie thread and thought of you.

Free at Walmart: Saturday, May 26

At your local Walmart on Saturday, May 26, from 10am to 2pm, get a free 5" X 7" Pirates of the Caribbean photo starring YOU....to be taken with life-size Pirate character cut-outs! pirate:

Darn, I wish I would've seen that, how fun! Lyzzie would have loved it as well. Captain Jack IS her boyfriend, y'know. (sorry 2x!)

I have mixed feelings about this. I like the BATB show good enough, but after seeing a couple of times I don't really feel like it's a "must-do." On the other hand, when Lyzzie and I tried to see HSM, we couldn't see it. She was so disappointed that the adults crowded around and wouldn't let her edge in to where she could see. I do think it needs a more "permanent" place, because the show is really cute. I'm not sure the BATB stage is really the "right" place for it though, I think it would lose a lot of its interactivity.

You are so brave with your diving! Don't worry that you need to take baby steps. I had a panic attack in the wave pool at Blizzard Beach - and it was only waist high! I started to feel like I couldn't breathe, and I needed to get out of there NOW. Lyzzie was so disappointed, especially because I wouldn't let her go in there by herself. It was just a little too deep for her, and I felt like if she lost control of her raft I would not be able to go in and rescue her. I felt like such a dope, but I really have some water issues - and I have no idea why. I was fine when I was a kid! Anyway, good luck with your diving and I'm sure it will get easier with time - I mean you're trying to push your body to do something that just isn't natural! (Going that deep underwater and still breathing... just weird!)

Donna: Lyzzie's last day is next Wednesday. It doesn't make sense, because Monday is a holiday and then they go on Tues, and Wed. is only a 1/2 day. I'm sure they won't accomplish much, but that's just how it goes. I always loved the last day of school, it was so fun and bittersweet. Six Flags - how fun. Now that Lyzzie is a coaster junkie, I really want to go!!

I am done shopping. Between Walmart, Disney Store, Michaels, and a few clothing stores I am done. The Disney Store did have some cute things; I went in there just to buy a skirt, but ended up with a tote, a salad bowl, and serving spoons.

"Done shopping?" Is there such a thing?? I actually have not been in a shopping mood lately - I've been in a saving mood. I like to take out cash at the ATM for certain things (such as our theme park outing) and purposely take out more than I'll need, and stash whatever's left away in our "Disney Dollars" piggy bank. I think I've already socked away around $100 since returning from WDW and I don't even miss it! But when I do get in the shopping mood, I am just like you. Go for one thing, come home with a carful.

I have never had a mojito. That is why I asked. What all goes into one?? I like saying it though----mowheeeeeeetoe.:lmao:

I've never had one either! I think it has something to do with rum, mint and sugar. Sounds weird, but I'm sure it's delicious. Much like shopping, I have not been in a drinking mood lately either. I even passed on a nice frozen frou-frou drink at WDW!! What is wrong with me?? please don't answer that ;) BTW: it's "courtesy."

He's worked for the company for over a year. I do feel bad for him too, but he was told point blank not to take the car (previously, he used another company vehicle for personal reasons and it broke down. Mike covered for him then and told him never to take a vehicle again). So, he did know better and knew that sometimes things do happen.
Wow, I wouldn't feel bad for the guy with that kind of history. Makes you wonder how many times he took/drove the company car and didn't have an incident?

Our new HR person is starting today - sort of a boss for me, but sort of not. We have "a dotted-line relationship" is the way it was explained. Hopefully this guy will need some help, and I'll have more responsibility around here. I can't stand being so bored - it makes me feel useless and unimportant, which makes it really hard to come in every morning and give a care about the job.

Hope everyone has a great Monday -- as great as a Monday can be anyway.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! It's Nathan's last day of school. :( I'm sure he's happy though.

Thanks for the wine UnderDog! Funny pic!

Amber- No more shopping! Easy to say, hard to do!:rotfl: I feel bad for the guy, but he should have known better.

2X- I have no clue what's in it! I'll find out and let you know. It's good but I prefer wine and fruity drinks!

Mojito Recipe-:drinking:

3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz light rum
club soda

In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer). Add a lime slice and the remaining mint, and serve.

Hello everyone – Happy Monday.

So, did everyone have a nice weekend? I need to go back a few pages and catch up on all of the weekend happenings of the cliqueless crew.

I am kind of dragging this morning. I didn’t sleep well last night. Kind of tossed and turned most of the night.

Played lots of baseball this weekend. Played one game Friday night, 2 games Saturday, and 1 game Sunday. And we have another game tonight. It is funny coaching 8 year olds…….you can be so proud of them one minute, and wonder what in the world they are thinking the next. We won our game Friday night and we looked like we were starting to understand how to play as a team and everything. And then, on Saturday morning, we were scheduled to play the team that is in 1st place in our division. They had not last a single game all year, and through 8 games had outscored their opponents 127 – 12. No other team had scored more than 4 runs against them in a game.

Well, we go out and play GREAT. The game is tight all the way through. We are only behind 12 – 10 going into the last inning. And we are home team so, we get last bat. We get a couple of runners on and Chase gets a hit to score 2 runs to tie the game. And then we make the last out. The game ends in a tie. I was disappointed that we didn’t win, but was so proud of the kids for playing great.

And then……….we turn around in the next game and play like they have never seen a baseball in their life. We only lose by 1 run, but we should have won. And then on Sunday, it got worse. We lost to a team that only had 8 of their players show up. Again, we only lose by 1 run, but the kids just were not in the mood to play yesterday.

But……..on a MUCH BRIGHTER NOTE…….we met some old friends that we had not seen in a long time. Their son was playing in a soccer tournament that is right by our baseball fields, so we got to visit with them some. It was great seeing them. We used to hang out together all the time, but rarely get to see them anymore.

I’m sorry for the baseball rant……..

Now to go catch up......

Peachy! She mowed the lawn last weekend and the weekend before, there's just two little scars that are barely noticeable, and she's feeling fine! Had recital this morning - talk about the most appropriate song - her voice teacher picked a song for her called "Disneyland" by Jodi Benson. It was awesome! If I had to 'compare' her to anyone, her voice is very similar to Sutton Foster and/or Jodi Benson.
Good to hear that Erin is doing better. Now, I’ll have to find a song by Sutton Foster and/or Jodi Benson to see what Erin sounds like.

Oh, and I saw a copy of BA’s yearbook at April’s Graduation Party Saturday – that thing is HUGE. :scared1: And speaking of Erin……has she heard anything back from the Disney Store?

Hi everyone!!! Thanks to those who asked about Ruby!! She's doing much better.
Ashley, good to hear that Ruby is doing better!!

Here I am and I'm grumbling big time.:cool2: I think DznyFan gave me her everlasting crud...even my ears fell a bit plugged.:rolleyes1 Man, I thoght I was going to miss it even though it seems everyone has had some form of respiratory crud this spring (my Tulsa cliquless pals can back me up):headache:
YM – I hope you are feeling better. I can attest to everyone around here being sick. I still have a little bit of a lingering cough from the crud I had a month ago.

We had a great day at Worlds of Fun yesterday, despite the worst customer service EVER. I was overcharged for lunch - dude didn't know a kid's meal comes with a drink and charged an extra $4 for the drink, even though it came in the kid's cup! - and when I pointed it out, he just re-rang everything and gave me the new total... even though I had ALREADY PAID. D'oh! He tried this twice, even after I explained that I needed a refund first. Finally someone came over and fixed it, but he still had no idea what just happened. I just kept telling Lyzzie, "Stay in school!"
Your “Stay in school!” line cracked me up!! :rotfl:

Lyzzie said yesterday was her "brave day"... and it sure was! She did 2 rollercoasters, and the Detonator, which is one of those TOT-type rides where it shoots you up in the air on a big tower and then goes down and up a few times. She LOVED it! She said "after that, TOT will be easy peasy lemon squeezy!" Now she wants to go back today and try the upside-down coasters... um.... no. I'd actually love to, but it's hot and I'm tired. I'm trying hard to catch up on laundry today, and we might go check out the Toy & Miniature Museum.
Way to go Lyzzie!!! Sounds like you guys had a blast!!

Has NOBODY gotten my Photopass pictures?
Nope. I PM’d you, but haven’t gotten anything.

So..... poopy day for me today! Today was my pool session day for diving! Yeah, I should be excited. Didn't exactly go the way I'd planned, and myself, or my DH never saw it coming. So, let me preface by saying that I'm middle-aged, somewhat overweight (not a LOT, but a little), and not in shape. The first couple hours went fine. First thing I had to do was don my snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins) and swim 600 yards in the pool. Kicked my butt!! Then we had to tread water 10 minutes. No problem. I'm plenty buoyant - just lean back in the water, float around for 10 minutes. Put on the rest of my equipment, including a heavy weight belt to counter all my buoyancy. Went down in the water in the shallow end, and did some various exercises (not exercises) for an hour or so. All was going very, very well. After a while, we had to go to the deep (14 ft.) end of the pool, which is easy enough because the device that holds the tank fills with air and your stay at the surface. Well, mine didn't fit really well, I was constantly struggling with it, and was starting to get pretty tired. Mind you, I'm hauling around about 20 pounds worth of weight belt and another 30 or so with the tank, BC and air. Time to descend to the bottom of the pool. Not happenin' here, folks. I mean, I did it - once - but never got all the way to the bottom - I just panicked every time and wanted to surface. It just got worse each time. Now, I can dive to the bottom of a pool without the scuba gear, and it doesn't bother me at all! I just felt mentally and physically exhausted and couldn't handle it. So - back to the shallow end for me - got out of my 'big' gear (that felt soooooo good!) and just rested for a bit. Chit-chatted with one of my instructors - Loretta's brother works for Disney!!!. Got back into my big gear, and had absolutely NO PROBLEM relaxing and swimming around the bottom in 5 or 6 feet of water. Every time I thought I could try and descend down the ledge into the deep stuff, my "flee" instinct kicked in! So - it's been decided that we're taking baby steps with me - I'll get there, it'll just take longer than most people. I have been assigned lots of laps every night in my home pool - and I think that once I get in a little bit better physical shape things should be better for me. Not giving up here - and they're patient and encouraging. I'll go back to the pool after we get back from our trip. It's so weird - I only got unconfortable when I had to go deep in my gear!! So - five and a half hours in the pool this morning, and I AM POOPED!

Sorry that was so long winded - but there just was no way to explain! The upside is that all my other skills are really good! I have to admit, just cruising around at the bottom of the shallow end was pretty darn relaxing and really cool!! What's weird, that we just don't understand, is I am a fish - I love the water. I have no problem swimming in the deep end of a pool, or skin diving. I'm NOT claustrophobic. Weird.
Sorry to hear that it didn’t go the way you wanted it to go. Hang in there though……you’ll make it through. But I do have to say………man……that is a LONG TIME to be in the water for training!! 5 ½ hours!!! Wow. I can't imagine why you would be sore today?!?! :confused3 :rotfl: (I'm not laughing at you.....I probably wouldn't be able to get out of bed)

OH! I almost forgot!! DH bought tix online this afternoon for POTCIII for this Thursday night!!!! :woohoo: :dance3:
Awesome!! I am SO EXCITED to see this movie. We have a baseball game Thursday night, so we probably won’t see it until the weekend.

(I'm not laughing at you.....I probably wouldn't be able to get out of bed)
It's a miracle I did.

DTS was supposed to call her for an interview this week - she touched base w/ them last Sunday - still haven't heard anything.

Congrats on the good job at the baseball games! (well, except for maybe that last one...) How fun to see your old friends again!

YM - I swear, I swear I did not give you my crud - I would never give someone I like my crud....
