Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Just wanted to stop in and say hi!

Lesa, Maddie is so cute.

Lin, that is a great idea for a basket. Mike and I usually do baskets for each other, but I haven't done anything yet. I need to go shopping, because our anniversary is coming up (18th).

My little brother is here for the weekend and I took today off. He called last night and begged to save him from his house. He said that my mom and grandmother were "weighing him down". When I told him he could come over he thanked me and asked if I was sure, because if I wasn't he would just take some advil. :rotfl:

Well, I better get ready to leave. I have to get my car inspected. Wis me luck, I usually fail and then have to pay money for them to "fix" something.

Bonnie: I always love that Easter picture! It's one of Lyzzie's favorites too -- any butt humor is good humor in her book.

She's a brave young lady!! I didn't get my ears pierced until I was about 24 years old.

I had mine done when I was 10, but after ten months they still hadn't healed so I just let them close up. I always know it's time to dump a boyfriend when he buys me earrings -- it means he's not paying attention!

Hi Bonnie.... The hamburger was o.k., not the best, but I did have a Cheeseburger In Paradise drink.;)

Oooo I love Cheeseburger in Paradise. They have some sort of spicy chicken skewers that are fantastic! Dang it, now I want to go there but the closest one is about 40 minutes away, I hate to go that far just for dinner.

I can't wait to see the pictures of all the girls. I don't know how we are going to get all the glitter out of her hair.:rolleyes1

Maddie looks so cute in her rockstar getup! I hate going to Libby Lu because they always assault us with the glitter - it stays in forEVER! It sticks to their little heads and no amount of shampoo will coax it out.

They have a Hannah Montana makeover now too! Its cute. The girls get a blond wig and big glittery microphone.

We saw this at the mall a couple weeks ago, I thought Lyzzie would love it and was tempted to let her have it done. Her reaction? "Eeew, that's so ugly!" :confused3

Nice job on the Easter basket! When I was 15 my BF made me a basket that he decorated with ribbons and stuff, and his mom helped him make some chocolates in a mold that he "painted" with colored white chocolate. It was so sweet!

Donna: that croissant looks divine! I have never had a chocolate croissant - I just may have to try one NEXT MONTH!!

My little brother is here for the weekend and I took today off. He called last night and begged to save him from his house. He said that my mom and grandmother were "weighing him down". When I told him he could come over he thanked me and asked if I was sure, because if I wasn't he would just take some advil. :rotfl:

That is too funny! He sounds like a fun kid. That's great that you guys get along so well. I am 7 years older than my brother and we never really were friends. He was 10 when I moved out of the house, and by the time I moved back, he was a teenager and never home, and we just don't have much in common - other than parents of course. Even now we live about a mile apart and never see each other. Some people think that's weird but it's just the way it's always been.

I don't give the girls much candy in their Easter baskets - but they clean up with the toys! I've been picking up small toys here & there when I find some on sale and once again I have bought too much. Oh well - it's nice to have a stocked "gift closet" for a rainy day or unexpected birthday party.

Lyzzie went to her Girl Scout horseback riding field trip today, I'm waiting anxiously to hear from my mom to see how she liked it. The poor girl -- it is SO cold outside today! They rode in an indoor arena but it is not heated. She almost missed it -- my mom called at 9:03 this morning to ask me what time she had to bring Lyzzie to the troop leader's house. It was at 9:15!! (This made me p.o.'ed because she had all the information for several weeks PLUS I told her more than once but she didn't pay attention). Luckily the leader was running late so Lyzzie made it there in time.

I am so mad at my Dr. right now. I went to my pain specialist this afternoon. I think I mentioned last month that they started a new thing with me, that I now get drug tested periodically to ensure I'm taking my meds and not selling them. Well they have been switching my meds around for several months trying to find a combo that works well for me and we are almost there. I've been seeing this guy for over a year & a half and the entire time I've told him EVERY TIME how I manage my meds - I have Rx's for diff. pain meds with diff. strenghts, and what I take each day depends on my pain level. I don't want to take anything stronger than what I need, plus I don't want to become too dependent on any one med. In the last few months, they have discontinued some Rx's but I still have some left at home, and I continued my regular routine of taking whichever I felt I needed. It's MY body and I know how much relief I need from day to day. Anyway -- finally getting to the point here -- today my Dr. pointed out on last month's drug test that it showed I was still taking meds they had stopped prescribing for me. I ONCE AGAIN explained how I take what I need each day depending on my pain level. He went on to tell me I am now on a "point system" where if I get three points against me, they will not prescribe me anything for one year, and since I took meds that were no longer prescribed I just earned two points! Keep in mind that HE gave me the meds in the first place and told me iit's ok to keep taking them until I run out!! I am so furious right now, and so afraid that I will accidentally get another point and be taken off the meds now that I finally found something that actually works. Another issue is that early refills can earn points. I explained that I will be on vacation next month during the week I am due to come back for refills, and can I come in a week early. He said "No but you can call in for a small refill to tide you over." "Ok, so I can call in to get the refill?" "No, you'll have to come in." "Ok, so I need to make my appointment early?" "No, just come in when you get back in town." AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! So I still don't know how I'm supposed to get my refill or even if I can get it at all. My mom gave me the name of another pain specialist that my brother likes, I think I am going to see if I can go to him. I just don't feel like my Dr. has MY best interest in mind - he also keeps trying to send me to physical therapy for the FOURTH time and I refuse. And he will ask if the cortisone shots worked, I say no, and he asks if I want another one. Um... NO, it didn't work, why do I want to go through that again??

Thanks for letting me vent. TGIF!!

ETA: I almost lost this post -- I got a page not found error and apparently lost my internet connection and almost screamed right here at work! Luckily I somehow recovered it and let it remind me: copy copy copy!!

Bonnie...love the bunny pix!

Lesa...Maddie looks too cute! She looks a lot like her momma princess:
I had my ears pierced @ 5 and wouldn't let my mom clean them either;) I let them grow shut when I turned 6 and then got them re-pierced when I was 12:cool1: then I could take care of them myself!

Amber.... your poor brother:rotfl: you saved him! Hope everything went well w/your car inspection!

Lyzziesmom... I know exactly what you mean about the pain meds. Mike is going through similar problems. His Dr. always hands him the script and says..."now you know, this could be sold for 1k" etc:rolleyes: He gets so aggrevated b/c he'd MUCH rather be w/o the pain!!!!! Good luck!!:grouphug:
Glad Lyzzie made it in time:eek: shew!!! Sounds like my mom ;)
Reminds me of my mom. Try that croissant for me too!!! boyfriends buying you earrings means they're not paying attention:rotfl: that's too funny, but so true ;)

Lin...awesome easter basket for Chris!:cheer2:

Dznyfan...I might have to start asking for those kind of needles:rolleyes1 glad you didn't even feel it! that is awesome.

Donna...that croissant looks SOOOO tasty!!!

I was SO busy at work today:sad2: I kept reading the posts but just didn't have time to ever post! I still didn't get the 1st timesheet done. Guess Monday morning I'll be scrambling to get them all entered in time:rolleyes: I hate that!

I think we're going to take Kenny to see "Meet the Robinsons" tomorrow and prepare for Sunday. I better call mom and see if she has any plans. She usually has to work on holidays:guilty:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter!!!

We just got back from eating out and going to the grocery store. I had to pick up a few things for Easter dinner and didn't want to wait until tomorrow.

Had to have blood drawn this a.m.... I'd put it off for months, and the nurse at my gyn office wasn't happy with me as I've been having mood/temper/sleep/weight/memory issues again/still. She made me promise I'd go this morning. The tech used a butterfly needle (at my request, that's what I always try to get) and she was so good I didn't feel a thing.
Guess I need to focus on my work - I can't get this bank statement to reconcile!
I hope everything is Ok with you!! Take care of yourself.

Amber::I'm so glad you rescued your poor brother!!! I was cracking up at what he said!!! May have to take an Advil!! Poor kid!!

lyzziesmom:: Good luck with the Dr. and the meds situation.
I hope Lyzzie enjoyed her field trip. It was in the 30's here today!!! ICK!!!

Linda: I've been wanting to take Nathan to see "Meet the Robinsons" or "Are We Done Yet?".
Sorry you were so busy at work that you didn't have time to post. It was rather quiet on our thread today.

Nathan bought himself a new DVD about Michael Jordan's career. He has a Nerf basketball goal set up on his bedroom door. If that poor door lasts through the night I'll be pretty surprised!!:scared1:

Hey guys, I'm at my moms house tonight since we are leaving for my grandparents in the morning.

Lyzziesmom, thats horrible about your doctor! It doesn't sound ethical to me for him to be able to take medication away from you. You need it, end of story.

I went to Hallmark with my mom this evening and they had Genuine Vera Bradley bags on clearance! I'm not really into Vera Bradley but I bought several for presents for girlfriends of mine and I did get myself a little wristlet. They were seriously cheap, instead of 71.00 I got one for 17.95!!!! It was crazy!!!

Well, I probably won't be able to check in tomorrow or Sunday so I hope you all have a blessed Easter!

Good morning, Cliqueless!! I have absolutely NO idea what to have for breakfast this morning. I'm going to have to scour my cookbooks for something that looks good.:rolleyes1
How about some French Toast this morning? Enjoy!!!

I hope you all have a Wonderful Saturday!!!:flower1:

Good morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna.

Well I'm almost embarrassed to post as I always seem to post terrible news but......My laptop broke last night so I have to use the desktop.:sad2: Brittany came home from her friends house early this morning and I believe she has strep throat and Madison's asthma is acting up, so off to the doctor for both of them.:guilty: I have nothing for Easter dinner, I guess we can just eat hard boiled eggs  we still have to dye Easter eggs, nor do I have basket stuff yet:headache: and my mother sent me a birthday card for my birthday. Oh and add to that Gracie almost got herself a rabbit, dumb bunnies just don't learn. Now she is out eating my lilac bush. Stupid dog!!!

O.k. I'm done complaining. I hope everyone has a super Saturday!:yay:

Hey, Lesa. I'm sorry the girls are sick again. I don't have anything for a basket yet, except for one video game. I need to head to the store now or I'm going to be out of luck. The only candy left will be the ones with the broken ears.:guilty:
What day is your birthday? I guess my stupid old memory is lapsing again.:scared:
Gracie is eating the lilac bushes? You were going to plant something else, anyway.....right? :teeth:
Complain anytime, Lesa. That's what we're here for. :grouphug:

Hey Donna...thanks for the breakfast. I need to pick up my easter basket stuff too. My oldest DS is wanting a white chocolate bunny this year and I don't even have his PSP game. Actually, I couldn't find it at Walmart. DH and I went to Target last night and I totally forgot to look for the Easter stuff. I was too busy looking at the shoes...trying to find something to wear to my sister's wedding. I'm not wanting to spend a bundle on something I will only wear once. So back for some more shopping today.:headache:

Well I got DH to take the girls to the dr so I could hunt up some Easter stuff, guess what????? I cannot find the plastic Easter eggs. I knew when I was at the store the other day I should have picked some up. I did the same thing last year, I could not find the plastic eggs anywhere and then had to scour the city for a store that had some left. :rolleyes1 So I guess I'll be doing that today too. Easter just seemed to sneak up on me this year. I started out with I have plenty of time, to........:scared1: Crap it's here. Luckily Maddie didn't mention a visit to see the Easter Bunny.:rolleyes1 Anyway, I hope everyone is having better luck getting ready for Easter than I am.:lmao:

By the way, my birthday is the same day as Sherri's. :teeth:

Hey Lesa...sorry the kids are sick again. It seems like some years are worse than others. My DS has had trouble with his asthma the last several weeks. He has poor exercise tolerance right now (of course he's a boy and never sits still). Some nights it's uncomfortable for him to lay down because he's short of breath. It was 29 for our low last night and Monday we were near a record high at 87. We'll see how he does with the temperature change.:headache:

Did we miss your birthday here? I'll bake you up a little surprise...plus there's nothing like extra surgar and fat to help with the mood.!:yay:

Good Morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Lesa-Did we miss your birthday? If so- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Lyzziesmom- That is so wrong what your Dr is doing to you.

Hello everyone!!!

We are on the home stretch of the basement!! Blake is starting to lay the carpet right now. I will join him once he gets the first line of squares. They are about 3x3 and fit together like a puzzle. We decided to go with these rather than 'regular' carpet since it is in a basement if we have any water problems or anything else happen we can lift up and replace only the affected areas of carpet rather than all of it. So even tho this is turning out to be way more expensive this is what Blake decided.

We tiled a couple of areas Thurs night and I grouted those yesterday. Of course we still haven't bought any furniture for down there. Hopefully we can get the carpet taken care of today and we will have time to order furniture. My problem is I can't find the chair I want. I will probably be moving the living room chair downstairs so I can get a rocking chair for upstairs. Lilly loves to rock! I can't find one the right size. Blake really doesn't want a glider rocker for the living room. We want kind of a Lazy boy type but they are all soo big. I have really short legs, I have sat in some that I can't even touch the floor!!!:confused3 Can't really rock like that!!

Well Blake just called...my turn to help:scared1: Check in later

Oh Lesa's birthday is the 12th!!

Well, I'm back from my Easter shopping!! whew...that was fun.:scared: I have started a load of laundry; Gary is in the basement with all his new power tools......I'm afraid I may have to help down there soon.:rolleyes1

YourMajesty:: Thanks for the wonderful birthday cake. I stole a piece while noboby was looking. :teeth: Maybe we can freeze the rest until next Thursday.

Michele:: I can so relate to the basement work. We had to start from square one as the walls were still just the original concrete. It's going to take some time, but it will look good when we're done. Did I mention that we bought our tile early last summer?
Thanks for clueing us in on Lesa's birthday. Now, how old will she be?:confused3

Well, I'm starting to feel quilty being on the computer with Gary is working. I may have to sign off for a while.

All I know is...younger than me!!:rotfl: Every time I mention a song, a show or something from when I was young, she says, "sorry that was before my time!!":lmao: Little Brat!!

Our Lilly is celebrating Easter with her dad's family, which is allowing us to get a lot done. They took her to see the Easter Bunny this week.

Briana is at work. She was really looking forward to this...the Detroit Pistons rent out the bowling alley once a year and have a fundraiser for handicapped kids there. So she will be there with all of the Pistons. Of course she doesn't know who half of them are:rolleyes1 A couple of them come up and bowl there often and she will come home and tell the boys that some basketball players were there but she doesn't know which ones.:confused3 Blake and the boys lose their minds!:rotfl2:

I hope your DS doesn't have a problem with this weather. The minute the weather changed Maddie started in with her cough. I think the cold may do good for the allergies though, everything that was blooming is now wilted in my flower beds.

My birthday is next Thursday, but thank you for the birthday cake.:lmao: I guess I forgot to mention why I was upset with my mom sending me a birthday card. Well it came postage due, every single time she sends mail to me I have to pay postage on it.:confused3: We still are not really on speaking terms and for some reason that just really irked me.:rolleyes1

Good Morning!

Nope, next week.:rotfl2:

Sorry, before my time. Oh fine, I wanted to take her to see the Easter Bunny, you said no, but you let her dad.:snooty: Maybe you can get a step stool for the rocker.:rotfl2:

We went to Target to look for some plastic eggs and basket stuff, the shelves were bare.:scared1: There was a few baskets and some junk candy, but other than that not a thing left. Luckily Michaels was next door so DH was able to get some. I did pick up some other things and bought a roast for dinner (I know, not the traditional Easter dinner but that is what I wanted).

The doctor put Maddie back on the nebulizer and she is doing fine. Poor Brittany has been sleeping in her bed all afternoon. She said her head hurts really bad and the Tylenol didn't help. Maddie is upset her sister is still sleeping because she wants to dye eggs. She keeps trying to sneak upstairs.

I swear that bunny, actually 2 bunnies, probably a momma and a daddy:eek: really have a death wish. Grace has almost got them three times today. :sad2:
