Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

There's a lot I wanted to comment on, so here goes...

AI -- My DVR was full and didn't record AI on Tuesday! So, I just watched the results. How the heck did Gina go home?? I LIKED her! I like Haley too, but I know she's not going to win. I was really hoping Phil would go home, Lyzzie calls him the scary alien dude. Very sad to see Gina go.

Moms -- Ugh! Need I say more? Mine drove me nuts while at WDW because she doesn't really like rides, but it was nice to have a built-in babysitter. ;) Also we did a lot of splitting up to do separate activities and then meeting up again later. It does get to be a little too much "together time" though. This upcoming trip w/Lyzzie will be my first with just us, without anyone else joining us and "taking over" MY vacation. Aaaaaaah.

Weather: On Monday the kids were outside in their swimsuits splashing around in a tub of water. Said tub was frozen today.

Easter -- Lyzzie is off of school today & tomorrow - not for Easter but for teacher in-service days. Odd timing. We have no specific Easter plans except church, we are going to try a new one near my house. They also have an egg hunt on Saturday we are aiming to try out, since we missed the city's egg hunt that we go to every year. They didn't advertise it in the city newsletter and by the time I looked it up, it was over.

Work --

I didn't even bother to watch last night. I knew it was not going to be Sanjaya so I don't care anymore. I'm sorry your having problems with your mom. Can I ask what is making her nervous? My mom would do something to purposely annoy me, that is why we never go with them on vacation.;) Good luck, I hope she goes and enjoys herself. It is cold her too! Something like 29 degrees.

Work -- Lesa, it sounds like your DH works at my company! Training, what's that? :confused3 Just figure it out, but don't screw up!! My 6-month review is supposed to be towards the end of May, I'm not really looking forward to it. Supposedly there is "opportunity for a pay increase" but I'm not holding my breath.

I went to Lyzzie's parent/teacher conference last night - her teacher actually said "she is a model student!" There wasn't much else to talk about. I mentioned that we will be out of town next month for a few days, and she said Lyzzie is so lucky to go to WDW twice in one school year, and that she has never been. So we talked about WDW for a few minutes, she thought you had to pay for each park separately and didn't know there were water parks! I stressed how educational WDW can be and how Lyzzie's favorite part is the countries in Epcot, and how she likes to learn how to write or say her name in all the languages. Teacher was quite impressed. I would not be surprised if she gives Lyzzie some sort of "vacation assignment" since she obviously won't need to catch up on missed work -- she's light years ahead of what they are learning right now.

Since there's no school today my mom is at my house w/the girls and she is in a cleaning frenzy! I went home for lunch and opened the mail, I received a new credit card and of course Mom saw it and started in with the "financial responsibility" lecture. Thanks, but I learned my lesson in my college days when I dug myself so far into the hole I had to declare bankruptcy at 23! :scared1: She refuses to believe that I have a $0 balance. Moms, ya gotta love 'em. (Because you can't shoot 'em.) :rolleyes1

ok, had to rescue us on page 4:eek:

Who is watching Survivor? we're switching between that and "are u smarter than a 5th grader"...I think the 1st team did pretty good w/the dance:cool1:

Way to go Lyzzie "the model student"

Hi, everyone!!! It's been so busy at work lately that I feel like I haven't had much time to post. I turn the computer on at night and I justdont'feel like much has been happening with me worth posting about.

Amber:: I'm sorry to hear that your mom is having second thoughts about your WDW trip!! I think she's just getting last-minute jitters and will have the time of her life once she gets there!!! Am I understanding that she hasn't been to WDW before??
Woo-Hoo!!! That trip is getting close!!!:woohoo:

Yolanda:: I know you won't be home to read this, but have a safe road-trip!! We'll see you back on Monday or so!!

Linda:: Isn't this weather something else? We didn't have ice on the roads, but it did get down into the 30's last night.:cold:

Dznyfan:: How cool that you booked the dive at Epcot!! Coral Reef sounds so good right now!! Have the pics from your NY trip been linked? Did I miss them? If not, I'm getting anxious to see them.

Lesa:: Nathan is off school this week and Monday. He goes back to school on Tues. I think a couple of people on the Dis have mentioned the fact that the kids were out of school last week. I don't know what the reasoning was to the spring breaks.
I had to laugh about your bird stories!!! I had a family of birds build a nest on the wreath (not Christmas) on my front door. We finally had to take it down and clean the bird poop off the front door!!:scared: I think they're trying to nest in our front porch lights now.
That is just rotten about your DH's job review!!! The mentality of Corporate America puzzles the crap out of me sometimes.

lyzziesmom:: Lyzzies teacher sounds pretty cool. Good touch adding how educatonal Epcot is and the fact that she enjoys learning so much about the countries. Nathan really likes World Showcase, too. We just seem to run out of time to do the things we'd like to do.
I see that your trip counter is below 30 days now!!! Can you believe it's been 2 months since we were all in the World?? I think it seems like such a long time ago.:guilty:

Well, I guess that's all for me. Have a great night everyone!!!:cloud9:

OMG!:rotfl2: :lmao:

DH and I went out to eat at Cheeseburger In Paradise tonight, no kids!!!:yay: Maddie went with her Brownie troop to Red Robin and then to Libby Lu to have a make over, and Brittany stayed home. I can't wait to see what "look" Maddie chose.:)

I got my new GPS today, I'm so excited.:dance3: My van still has 4 months left on it, but only 3000 miles until I go over miles, but without the vans GPS I can't get anywhere around here.:rolleyes1 Now I can drive DH car and not get lost. I wonder if they will let us trade the van in early.

Donna....I hate how they do the vacations around here, they make no sense.
They get the whole week off for Thanksgiving and no time off for Easter. I talked to Maddie's teacher today and they have to work part of the day tomorrow.

Nice to see you, Lesa!! You may have to take a picture of Maddie's "new" look!!

Hi Donna!:) I will definitely take a picture, I can't wait to see her. They got to choose from a princess, rock star, dancer, diva, and something else. I bet the girls had a blast. princess: Maddie has been asking for her ears pierced and they do something special there so I may have to take her back to get them done.:rolleyes1

She's a brave young lady!! I didn't get my ears pierced until I was about 24 years old.

She actually had them pierced when she was about 5 (I have loss of hearing from that). She would throw such a fit anytime that I went near her to clean them. Then when it was time to change them out she wouldn't let me put the new ones in so they closed up.;) Now she is bugging me to have them done again.

Hi Bonnie.... The hamburger was o.k., not the best, but I did have a Cheeseburger In Paradise drink.;)

Maddie said they had a blast. She came home with a bag full of stuff including a baggie full of body glitter.:scared1: They even got to tour Red Robin. Here's my little rock star.

I can't wait to see the pictures of all the girls. I don't know how we are going to get all the glitter out of her hair.:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: That is my favorite thing ever! I drag it out every Easter!!!:rotfl2:

Very cool! Looks like she had a blast!!!!

Got Chris's easter basket stuff all done today. His basket is a batting helmet! I feel so creative, hehehe. And then I got him batting gloves, a couple of softballs, some Big League gum, and some other candy stuff. hehehe. He is on our church softball team.

Lin...that sounds like a great idea. Dh and I don't really do Easter for each other...that's so thoughful of you. DH's family really didn't fuse much over the holidays. I've managed to adopt that theory...we'll except for the kids. I go a little overboard for them. I'm going to try to tone down the candy some this year. I always end up eating way too much.:rolleyes1 DS has been wanting a new PSP game and my youngest wants some transformers. Might end up costing me a few more $$$ but hopefully less lbs on my hips.

Just wanted to drop by and say hello to all my cliqueless pals tonight. Hopefully I'll have a little time to Dis tomorrow...I'm off for good Friday.:dance3:

Happy Good Friday, crew!!! I'm one of the Lucky Duckies that gets to go to work!!:woohoo: (not) In my mind, I'm heading to Epcot this morning. Think I'll grab a goodie and a coffee at the Fountainview Cafe and enjoy people watching and gazing at the fountains for a few minutes.:cloud9: I'm having a chocolate croissant. What do you all want???

I hope you all have a Peaceful Good Friday.:flower2:

Your Easter basket for Chris sounds very creative. I haven't had a chance to shop for Nathan. Everything is going to be so picked-over.

Gary and I sometimes remember to get a card for each other.:rolleyes1
I don't think I'm going to buy so much candy this year, either. Gary was telling me that Nathan saw a PS2 game he wanted, I may just put that in a basket along with very little candy. Gary's mom sent Nathan a bag of Snickers miniatures, York Peppermint Patties, Nestle Crunch bars and a 10 pack of Hershey bars!!!!

Well, better get ready for work!! I hope everyone has a super day!!!

What a cute idea for a basket!!!

Lesa, I loved the pics of Maddie - she does look like a rock star!

Later, all!
