Amber: I have the exact same situation with Lyzzie's grandparents! They live near Ft. Lauderdale and just because we invited them on our WDW vacation ONE time, now they expect it at least once a year, and they have only been here twice in over five years, and one time they didn't even bring Lyzzie's dad! They get so mad if they find out we went on vacation somewhere else, or if we came to FL and *gasp!* didn't tell them. I don't even tell them anymore, and now they get all suspicious if I don't answer the phone or email a reply almost immediately. It drives me nuts

I promise Briana is working on her thank you notes. But between taking care of Lilly and going to school she is short on time. They should go out this weekend!!

I'm glad she liked it, and don't worry about the thank you notes, she has enough on her plate and can get them out when life slows down. We all understand.

Oh my, I just saw where the lead singer for Boston was found dead in his home. He was 55. I remember putting in my Boston cassette and driving my '78 Monza Spider.

I loved Chicago. I had an opportunity in college to work backstage during their show at the USA in Lubbock but I got sick and couldn't go. I was so bummed.

One more thing. Did you guys see the new movie Disney is coming out with? I saw it on Yahoo this morning.


New Orleans the Site of New Disney Film

The Walt Disney Co. has started production on an animated musical fairy tale called "The Frog Princess," which will be set in New Orleans and feature the Walt Disney Studio's first black princess.

The company unveiled the plans Thursday at its annual shareholders' meeting in New Orleans.

John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Disney and the Disney-owned unit Pixar Animation Studios, said the movie would return to the classic hand-drawn animation process, instead of using computer animation that has become the industry standard. He called the film "an American fairy tale."

"The film's New Orleans setting and strong princess character give the film lots of excitement and texture," Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook said.

The movie will be scored by Randy Newman, who also wrote the music for Disney's "Toy Story," "A Bug's Life" "Toy Story 2," "Monsters, Inc." and "Cars."

Newman performed a song from the score for the shareholders.

John Musker and Ron Clements, who co-directed "The Little Mermaid" "Aladdin," and "Hercules" will co-direct the movie. The pair also wrote the story for the film.

Disney said its new animated princess Maddy will be added to its collection of animated princesses used at the company's theme parks and on consumer products.

The film is set for release in 2009.




That is pretty cool. I always wondered how long it would take them to finally come out with an African American princess. It's about time too.

MY SIL is very excited. In fact, for her 24th birthday yesterday my MIL gave her the Addy American Girl doll! (My SIL is African-American). I told them all at dinner last night and her mom is thrilled because she is a principal for a vastly AA elementary school. I'm glad they are finally doing this!

I have lots of laundry to put away today (See Donna, I did laundry yesterday, too!! ). I want to get everything caught up because Tuesday it is suppose to be in the 60s.

Cindy 2 was a nightmare, not even an actual storyline. Cindy 3 is actually pretty good. I would recommend it for Maddie, I imagine she would really enjoy it. Last week (or 2 weeks ago) it was the number 2 DVD sale, behind The Departed!

Amber, I'm sorry about your MIL...mine is a treat too. My thoughts are with ya!

Howdy crew! DH is home tonight after being away for some of his Air Force stuff.

Michele...the pictures are very sweet of Lilly! I held a 5 week old little boy at DS's baseball practice today. They are so precious at that age....and tiny. My back hurt after about 30 minutes of holding him.

Lesa...glad Maddie and Brittany were back at school Firday! What was that about you napping and DISing?

Hey Donna...those pancakes were tasty! So you went to sleep during Peter Pan. I guess you can watch it in sessions....along with a certan pirate movie.

Lin....Thank you for the info on Cinderella 3. I just may go and get it for her Easter basket. Cinderella 2 was just plain awful!

We went to dinner at ON The Border last night. It was awful!!!! The rice was not cooked all the way and very crunchy, my dinner was cold, they made the girls dinner wrong. Everytime I go out to eat my food is cold, why is that? Is it too much to ask for it to at least be a little warm.

Hi Bonnie! Not much new here. I am going to hound DH today to moving on some projects around the house. Any thing new with you? Touring the National Cathedral sounds like fun. I bet it was beautiful! I did think about going into the city today because it is suppose to be pretty nice. They are having a St. Patrick's Day parade, but that means massive people and overly crowded trains. I would like to go next weekend, they turn the river green. We'll see about that one though, because it is also busy then. I don't like crowds, especially in the city.
