CornmealWaffles%2Ejpg

Everyone have a Savvy Sunday!!!

Good mornigng, Crew!!! I woke up a little after six and decided it was INSANE to get up; so I fell back asleep. I stayed up last night and watch "Pretty Woman". I hadn't seen that movie for, like forever!!

Bonnie:: Thanks for the cheery morning greeting!!!! :sunny: What a great way to start the day!!!

2x2s:: The waffles look absolutely devine, Luv!!! You are the best!!!

lyzziesmom:: Sorry you have to interrupt your Pajama Day with the grocery store. Maybe some flowers will make you feel better.:flower3:

Sherri:: Good morning to you young lady!!

Linda:: You're making that cruise sound pretty good. Not that it ever sounded bad; I just always saw the $$$ signs flash before my eyes!!
Tell Mike and Master Kenny I said 'Hello"!!

So, what's everyone up to today?

Are any of you movie buffs going to watch the Oscars tonight?? I will probably, even though I haven't seen half of what's nominated. I have a client to makes sure she sees every single movie that is nominated-----even short films, etc. About a month before Oscar Night, she is catching up with the films every weekend----sometimes several per day. yikes.

Amber----how scary that your neighbor decided that a windy day was a perfect day to start a fire. Where was his head?? Luckily they got it under control.

Lyzziesmom---painting??? with dead fish???? Oooh, I bet the aroma in there was lovely.:lmao:
You're barn burning story was scary/funny-----but glad it turned out okay.
What?? Parents on a cruise without you?? How dare they!!! I would have expected an invite too.

Ash---when I was first diagnosed with my autoimmune---one of the first things my doctor said was "no more monkeys jumpin' on the bed" ------sorry, couldn't resist:lmao: :lmao: ----I started typing and it just came out.:lmao:
Seriously, they said do NOT look on the internet. I did anyway, of course.;) It can be a helpful tool, if you keep an open mind and just get ideas, but get the final diagnosis from a professional. Hope your hand is doing better. Keep an eye on it.

Lin---sounds like cake baking was the thing to do yesterday. I didn't get the memo.;) :rotfl: What kind of cake did you bake?? Now I am hungry for cake!!!!
Yay for getting to leave work early-----but it always irks me to hear that you have to take your own personal time when the boss is asking you to leave for the day.
Have fun at you Nana's birthday celebration.

YM------aww, are you calling me cupcake again??:lmao: Nope, didn't melt.

Donna---your cake sounds so cute!!! I'm sure Nathan enjoyed helping with the frosting and the decorations. I think I would have eaten them before they got on the cake.;)
So, did you win??? $$$$$$$$$$$
I love Pretty Woman!! Just goes to show you that I live in a FairyTale world, I guess-----Cinderalla, Beauty and the Beast, Pretty Woman, Capt. Jack, ya know.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
I thought you may need a morning to sleep in-----dig into some waffles.

Linda---thanks for all the info on the cruise. I have been on one only----of course, DCL-----and I loved it!!!! Can't wait to do it again.
October would be great for me. Anytime, really-----except for mid-Nov through end of Dec.
Your day yesterday sounds like alot of fun. I'm sure Kenny had a blast. Red Robin----I always forget about that place-----may need to go again.

Sherri-----I get motion sickness very easily and did not have a problem with the cruise. I was really anxious about it too, but did fine. I went in June, so I think the waters were pretty calm. My sister had a bit of a problem at the one restaurant which was located at the end of the ship, so you could feel the motion a tad more. We made sure our stateroom was located mid-ship.

Bonnie/aka Toot Sweet/aka Bbgrizzle;) ------I love your tags!!! I can hear Joey Tribiani saying it now!!! How YOU doin'??:lmao:
Thanks for the cheery good morning!!
Isn't it nice to meet fellow DISers?? We had such a fun time at our convention. Glad you had a good lunch with a DISer.

Nicole---Oct. is good for you too??
That would be nice to celebrate many Cliquers b-days!!

Good Morning Yolanda---have a good day!!
Are you packing yet?? 3 months left of snow???:scared1: :scared1:

Oops!!! I haven't checked my lottery tickets yet!! You all may be chatting with a multi-millionaire without even realizing it!!:lmao:

Probably won't watch the Oscars tonight. I never even see a movie that is nominated. Let's see, what did I see at the movies last year? Cars, Garfield2, Open Season.....no Oscar nominations there!! (Well, maybe Cars, I haven't really heard.)

See you later!! I'm off to start my day!!!

Have a good one!!

I see our cliqueless chicas were busy last night!!

I'll have to check in a little later and try to catch up!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Good afternoon!

Thanks for breakfast 2X!

Linda- I was looking at prices for the cruise and have a question- I know I personally would like to do the 4 day land and 3 day sea. Is it cheaper to just book them separately or together? What kind of room for the land portion does that cover, value, mod, or deluxe? And lastly, how soon can you book it? I know we won't know for a while what days we all can go but I am getting excited!

Have a nice day everyone!

Hi everyone :flower3:

I woke up to snow pretty much everywhere this morning!! I was so happy because it was pretty much melted last night and now it comes back again :sad2: Ok that is my complaint for the day!!!

Nicole, I'm right with ya, I want to know more about the cruise too ;) I've never been to one...Hmmm...I'm already thinking of going shopping for the formal nights :rolleyes1 :woohoo:

Lyzziesmom, Ok, ask Lyzzie if she if is sure she wants to go on Everest, didn't she see my ride photo? ;) Just joking, I'm sure she can handle it, I'm just a big wimp!!!

Donna, Pretty Woman is one of my favs!!

Linda, yep I bet Kenny would love Coral Reef. Plus I'm just remembering him saying he loves crab legs, if so this is a perfect match! Am I remembering this right???? :teeth:

Hi Bonnie and Pozey!! :3dglasses

2x, yummm, thanks for the waffles!!! I only saw Little Miss Sunshine but I am watching the Oscars. I like to see what everyone is wearing!!! :cool2:

Ashley- I've never been one a cruise either, I want to know everything! I'm sure Linda will be more than happy to help us out! :teeth: They have formal nights??? I didn't know that. Ooohhh, I think I need to go to Windsor and buy some dresses! :rotfl:

Linda you are making this cruise sound more and more doable. I would be totally lost if I didn't have such cuise experts to go to.
Of coarse it's doable;) it's all in the priorities:rotfl: just ask poor Mike:rolleyes1

Doesn't that feel so good. You wake up early and can go back to sleep. Ahhh! Gotta love the weekends! It's not hard to make a cruise sound good. It is so wonderful! It isn't bad ($$$) if you can plan it well;) I just always had the attitude, when can I get the best price? That is when we go ;) Kenny and Mike say "hello, see ya soon"!! I learned after my first cruise:sad2: my ex-sil, my neice and I went on a 4 night in July and paid $3200. my neice was only 5!!! But it was JULY...and short notice so, $3200 was ridiculous...but we did it. Now I know much more about how to find a good price:cool1: For one, I go to www.cruisecompete.com for prices. Several TA's come to YOU w/quotes!

Linda---thanks for all the info on the cruise. I have been on one only----of course, DCL-----and I loved it!!!! Can't wait to do it again.

I always forget about Red Robin too:rolleyes1 It was the first time Kenny has ever been there:eek: oops! Yeah, you're right... The movement at Animators Palate can get a little rough. We'll all just take something that night ;)

Good afternoon!

Thanks for breakfast 2X!

It's not always cheaper one way or the other. You just have to try our dates both ways. The major difference is this. W/the land/sea package, you can't buy the DDP, BUT they do include 7 day park hopper passes. We added the no expiration feature and now have 4 day tickets to use another time! The packages don't include a value at all. If you do the package,a non verandah room gets you a moderate resort and the verandah rooms get you a deluxe room. It is the land portion first, then cruise. I'm pretty sure all of 08' rates are out. I'd have to check.

Hi everyone

I hate the snow too. I can't wait til its gone! Yep, love the formal night! Kenny would love Coral Reef, crab legs is one of his favorites!! He gets it honest ;)

Ashley- I've never been one a cruise either, I want to know everything! I'm sure Linda will be more than happy to help us out! :teeth: They have formal nights??? I didn't know that. Ooohhh, I think I need to go to Windsor and buy some dresses! :rotfl:
Of coarse!! Yes, even the 3 night cruise has a formal night on the last night. It is not required though.

Oh, you would also have to pay to go to the adult only restaurant. It is $10 per person for dinner and brunch. I'm telling you, it is the best $10 spent onboard. The food and service are incredible!! I think the high tea is only $5.
If you order soda at the bar, you pay for it. You don't ever have to do that though b/c by the Mickey pool they have fountain drink station where you can have all you want. There is also tea and coffee etc.

Mike is saying he won't commit to anything yet:sad2: He tried to say we haven't even been back 2 weeks, then I had to remind him that it was 2 weeks ago Thurs. ;) I'll work on him! hmmmm black and lacy again I guess:lmao:

today was the birthday party at Chuck E Cheeses. I didn't realize it was all family and Kenny was the only child invited!!! Her mom said, the only person she wanted to invite was Kenny. Boy, I'm in trouble!

Hello, friends. Where is everyone today? They have lives? We got a lot of snow today so we couldn't do much. In the morning I took the girls to breakfast at McDonald's and then the grocery store but by the time we got finished, the snow was coming down hard. We didn't leave the rest of the day.

DH, DD13 and I had a Gilmore Girls marathon! We watched six episodes (we're renting the DVDs from Netflix). It was fun. I also made homemade chili, which was yum.

What did you guys do today?

Ashley: Lyzzie didn't see your Everest ride photo, but I tried to explain it to her. I'm sure my re-creation wasn't nearly as good as the original though. She has ridden it before and LOVED it, but last time she went she just wasn't in the mood. That made me mad, because I had a coupon for a free Everest ride photo and it went to waste!

I forget who first mentioned Red Robin, but I ended up taking the girls there today for a late lunch/early dinner. We went to the local childrens' museum, then Red Robin (yummy!) and then did our grocery shopping. I love when I grocery shop on a full stomach - under $50 for the week!

Nicole: I was wondering the same thing about the land/sea. I was thinking, if I still have an AP it would probably be cheaper to book separately, but who knows. I'd like to settle on some dates, because like Linda, I have a diff. website I check and sometimes they have DCL cruises - only the sea portion - for up to 75% off, but the bigger discounts are for farther away bookings. That is so backwards from the rest of the cruise lines, all their bigger discounts are for sailings within a week of booking! I like to travel on the spur of the moment, but I don't think I could do that.

The girls are watching Snow White, Emma has never seen it so that tells you how long it's been since we've watched it. Emma's so funny though, she said, "Oh I love Snow White!" because she likes the character and the ride, but has never seen the movie! I think I will go watch with them and maybe take a little nap.

Hi! I'm fixing a light supper for Nathan and Gary; so thought I'd take the time to say "HI"!!!

Nathan's Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet went well. This year it was held at a local pizza place that has a small meeting room. It was something the boys enjoyed and the cake decorating contest was fun! Nathan didn't win anything but there were a couple of really neat cakes that had graham cracker tents, chocolate mountains and trees made of iced and sugared gumdrops. It's amazing. I feel so bad that I don't have that kind of imagination.

lyzziesmom:: Red Robin sounds good. We used to go pretty often when we made a trip into St. Louis. A new one opened up at the nearest mall to us, but it's been crazy busy the last couple of times we been over that way!!

Well, din-din is ready. I'll check back later!!

Good morning, Crew!!! Gee, where was everybody last night? Watching the Oscars or something perhaps? I finally gave up about 10:30pm and went to bed!!
How about an omelet and some potatoes to go with it?

sfo_brentwood%20bowl%20omelet.jpg

I hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!!!!

Good Morning Donna. I'm just stopping by with a quick hello and to see what you were serving up for breakfast. It looks yummy. Have a great day.

Good morning!

We have our parent/teacher conference this morning at 7 a.m. so I've gotta make this quick.

I watched a little bit of the Oscar's last night. It was kind of boring so I ended up switching channels.

Ww leave on Thursday to fly down and negotiate all the stuff for my husbands new job offer. I'm excited! hopefully all will go well and we'll get a starting date for my husband so that I can start planning.

Well, I'd better go. Talk to you later. Have a great day!

Good Morning!

All this talk of a cruise makes me want to go NOW! I better start saving my money.

Yesterday was eventful. My little brother spent the night Sat and when we woke up yesterday there was snow! I had no idea they were calling for it. I think we got about 5 in. Anyway, my mom called and said she was coming to get Tyler. A little later she calls and is on my road, stuck. So, we had to go and try to push the truck. We just couldn't get it unstuck. Luckily, out neighbor came by (he was helping anouther neighbor out of a ditch) and pulled my mom out.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

wow Amber, that would not be fun. Glad your neighbor pulled your mom out! 5"...yuck!

Donna...I bet some of those cakes were awesome. I'm w/you. I don't have a good enough imagination. Gimme a pix and I can try to re-create someone else's

I was torturing myself even more last night by watching Samantha Brown on "great cruises":cloud9:

Here is a pix at Castaway Cay (disneys private island in the Bahamas)
Kenny was 2 1/2!

KennyCastawayBay.jpg

a little play time in the Mickey pool anyone?

I'm going to say a quick good morning, then go back and read all the pages of posts from the weekend. It may take me all day!! :wave2:
