Lesa, did you say you were in the middle of books 2 and 3?

Dznyfan has a start!

Yeah, I was in the middle of book 2 when i lost it, so I started book 3. When I found book 2 I was in the middle of book 3, so I just stopped reading because I didn't know which one to keep reading.:rolleyes1 Maybe I'll just forget them both and start book 4!

Hi everyone!!!

Whew, you guys have been busy today!!!! :rotfl:

Lyzziesmom, :scared1: What a horrible dream!!! I agree with you about American Idol- they were very boring. :crazy2: I think the best ones were the beat box guy and the crazy haired guy named Chris. I'm glad you took the 1/2 day off- you need the rest!! Hope you are feeling better.

Michele- that is so interesting about the Haunted Mansion!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

YM- I hope your DS likes his new glasses.

Pozey- that Limo story is great!! That would be really exciting. You know I've never been in a limo before! I would love to ride in one one day!! :car: I've never stayed at the Hard Rock but I've been wanting to stay at the one in Hollywood, FL. It is right down the street where I grew up and I used to go there and gamble. :dance3: (When it was legal ofcourse! :thumbsup2 THUMB) It was BEAUTIFUL there!! My Aunt actually works at the Cafe there. Jeremiah & I are trying to plan a Universal trip and he is wanting to stay at Royal Pacific again because he loved it so much- but I would love to stay at Hard Rock Orlando one day!!
I've never watched Dancing with the Stars before. Maybe I'll start this season.

Nicole, I could never sell Mary Kay, I don't have the drive to keep up with it!! :teeth: Are you and Steven watching the Houston/Miami game tonight? It is hard for me considering Miami is my home team, but I think I'll be rooting for the Rockets! (and rooting for Dwayne Wade too because he's my fav!)

Amber, that stinks about the gas company. That doesn't seem right!!!

Linda, I was enjoying Kenny "talking my leg off"! :thumbsup2 He is so cute!!!!

Donna, that breakfast looked amazing! Thanks!

Lin- hope your feeling better!!! Good for you for going to the gym, I need to start again :rolleyes1

Yolanda- I know this is going to be a busy couple weeks for you!!! I hope everything goes smoothly!!!

OK, I think I typed enough!! :teeth:

P.S. Does anybody have a Blackberry Pearl? We're thinking of getting them for our next phone and are wondering how good they are.

Hello, friends!! :hippie:

Hi gals ( and guys ) !
Bonnie: I have MSN but I never thought of using it to chat with other disers. My screen name is the same as my DIS name if you (or anyone else here)want to add me - it's Jane if you don't. (I apologize for the bad joke, let's chalk it up to stress, shall we?) How many girls do you have? How old are they? Mine are 8 (Lyzzie) and 2.5 (Emma). I'm a single mom and they sure do keep me busy, but I wouldn't trade 'em for the world! Most days, anyway. On some days, I'd trade 'em for a good piece of chocolate, but we won't talk about that.

Okay, I added ya to my MSN contact list. I hope your email is a hotmail account and not MSN, cause I entered you as hotmail. :) Mine is momto3pixies@hotmail if you see me on, make sure you talk to me!! I have three DD's, Heather (13), Caitlin (9), and Ainslee (5). Heather is actually my Step daughter, but I raise her as my own, I've never even met her mother. She has no contact with Heather at all. Wow, I admire you for being a single mom. It must be a lot of work!

Toot Sweet/Bonnie:: Welcome to our thread!!! I work during the day ( and can't Dis) and am the supplier of breakfast during the week. On weekends I have some help from time to time.:goodvibes

Thanks for the welcome, Donna! I saw your french toast today! Mmmmmmm!! It looked gooooooood! :)

Oh and Bonnie...welcome!! I checked out your Mad Tea Party thread...I think you guys move way faster than we do and I have a hard time keeping up here:confused3 :rotfl2:

Really? I must not have been around. Sorry I missed you. I know....in the evenings, Mad Hatters does move pretty fast. We kind of use it for live chatting...which is why we started doing the MSN group chats. Although not all the Chatters have MSN, so we still do a lot of our talking on Mad Hatters! Come around when I'm on and I'll introduce you to everyone. :)

Welcome Toot Sweet!

Hi Keagansmom! :wave2:

Another interesting site about the haunted mansion. http://www.grimghosts.com/secrets/MajorFX.html This one tells more about the ride, the first one I posted was the original script for the ride.

By the way, I haven't looked real hard, but I still did not find the answer!:rolleyes1

Hi luvdzne! I love Haunted Mansion. Once when I was at Disneyland, the ride broke down when we were on it. They had to turn on the lights so we coudl all walk through the ride on our way out. With the lights on a lotta secrets were revealed! :( Now the ride is not the same, but I still love it!

Heres my trivia question for you..

Who was the model for Madame Leota's Crystal Ball in the Haunted Mansion. Bonus points if you know what her job was and how she got roped into the modeling job.

Ok let's see if I get this right...

Leota was a Disney seamstress. She was chosen because she had the correct look for the head but her voice was too sweet. They used the voice of Lady Tremaine> Leota's real voice can be heard from Little Leota at the end saying "Hurry Back"

Your poor DSD. That is so sad that her mom has no contact with her. Thank goodness she has you!

Oh I didn't post...I read ( lurk) a lot but I don't post all that much, except on here. I will check in and say hi tho:yay:

That would ruin it:sad2: In some ways it would be really cool to see it but then I would be afraid that it would take away some of the magic.

That is one of the reasons I have always been leery of working at WDW ( that and the fact that I live over 1000 miles away:rolleyes1 ) I was afraid that it would lose it's magic!

How long did you have to wait on the ride before they turned on the lights?

Ok...I had several pages to make it through. Let's say I had my daily laughs...Miss Lesa...loved your smilies.

Donna...thank you for the breakfast! We will make up for the slow chatting...eventually.:hyper2: :hyper2: You are correct...this is not a normal workday for me...but I'm sure my boss was happy to disrupt our morning schedule...once again.:rolleyes1 I learned about communication principles.:woohoo:

lyzziesmom...sorry to hear about your back today. :headache: (ok pretend that's a back).

Michele...was sleepy sleeping or was that just an oversight? Interesting.:scratchin

Well...not so great news for my oldest. He needs glasses. We go pick them up today. His teacher moved him to the back of the room this week and he can't see a thing. :earseek: He had his Dr appointment last week. Just a couple of days before his appt he was telling us he couldn't read something. I just had him scheduled for a routine check up. Funny thing is that I told his teacher last week he was getting glasses....I'm not sure why she moved him to the back.

Ok....I will check back in a bit.:)

Why thank you Your Majesty!

Sorry to hear your DS needs glasses. I'm sure he will be very handsome in them!

Sort of silly for the teacher to move him to the back. Maybe she forgot. I would send her a reminder.:teacher:

Miss Michele missed your question! I would like to know the answer to it too!

Oooh, I would hate to be in there with the lights on, it would ruin the magic.:guilty:

I was just going to say that!:rolleyes1

Sorry Lesa!

Michelle got it 99% right this try. She was just going to be the stand in so they could get the effect worked out before casting the actual actress. But, they liked her look so much in the ball that they left her in. Her name was Leota Thoombs. Her husband was one of the Imagineers that worked on HM which is how it all got started.

Oh no, only 200 more pages until we are supposed to go back to WDW...I'm thinking I won't make it that soon! Hehehe

Wow! That's really interesting!! I didn't even realize that her voice was Lady Tremain's!

Your poor DSD. That is so sad that her mom has no contact with her. Thank goodness she has you!

Thank you!! :) I know, I could not believe a mom could just bow out of her child's life like that. But she has had 7 children and has only raised 4 of them.

That would ruin it:sad2: In some ways it would be really cool to see it but then I would be afraid that it would take away some of the magic.

We had to wait about 20 minutes in the doom buggy before they turned on the lights and let us exit. I know, I think working at WDW might not be such a great idea either. I would hate for the magic to lessen in any way. I've only been to WDW 3 times....we've always lived 4 hours from Disneyland until this year. Now we're in VA, so WDW it's gonna be for now.

I thought that was the name she had in the ride, I didn't realize that was her real name!:headache: :rotfl2: I was looking for her real name!:rotfl2:

::yes:: But I still love the ride.

When I worked there I used to go in the tunnels, I saw a lot of stuff that was really disapointing when I saw it, but I got over it.;) When we quit Disney and moved home I swore I would never go back! :rolleyes1 I lost count how many times since then we've been back.:lmao:

She had 7 kids!! And only raised 4 of them...that's awful!! I'm sorry but why did she keep having them if she wasn't interested in being a mom:mad:

Sure, sure....you just stick with that story:dance3:

I have wondered the same thing! She is apparently very fertile! She's had other pregnancies that she aborted. Maybe she kept the others because she thought they would bring her closer together with whoever the fathers were. Who knows? It used to make me VERY mad. :furious: But I have come to terms with it. It's been over 10 years now that I've had Heather in my life. It took me a long time, but it really does just feel like she's mine now. :)
