That doesn't sound right. I would call back and ask to speak to a manager. If the person you were speaking to was a manager, I would ask to speak to her manager, until you got to the top.OK, I have to vent for a minute. Please feel free to ignore.
We have propane for heating and cooking. We only get one delivery a year. Usually, I just pay the full amount when they deliver. However, they now offer a budget plan. They take the amount you spend on propane a year and divide it into 12 payments (I have the same thing for electricity). It helps, because you aren't hit with a huge bill all at once. Anyway, I scheduled a delivery about a month ago and signed up for the payment plan. Today, I get a bill for $440.00!I called and they said that they don't do the plan this time of year.
I asked why did I fill out the paperwork and was told I was on the plan. The girl couldn't explain that; she just said that their plans only run from June to May. She also said the amount was so much because of all the deliveries I've had (oh, and the amount is exactly what I pay for one delivery). I explained that I only get one delivery a year and she couldn't be correct. Finally, she agreed I was right about that. She did say I could have until May 1 to pay the bill. I am so mad right now. I will be calling back tomorrow and try to speak to someone else (she was the only person in right now). It just sucks that I was planning on a bill around $40 a month and I'm hit with this.

OK, vent over.
If you were able to sign up for monthly payments, and were told you were on a monthly payment schedule, then that is what you should be on.
