Just wanted to give you a heads up. Dicks Sporting Goods has Disney crocs. If you use code DSP20SAVE you save 20% and then if you use Google checkout (as a first time customer) you get $10 off! I just ordered a red/black pair for $13.99 total (shipping free).

I may order the pearl/pink, but they are $17.99 (and I have to use Mike's email to get the $10 off).

Those are the only two adult colors they have, but they have a bigger selection of kids.

:woohoo: thanks Amber!!! That is awesome. Kenny wants some too

Kennys message to all of you:
I wanna write , my favorite present was the dinosaur, and my 2nd favorite was the megazord, and my 3rd favorite was the power ranger toy tracker. And thank you for showing the cakes to me, especially the ninja storm and the mystic forces.

Thanks guys...he was so excited...he was counting how many cakes there were... it made his day!

Kenny you are so sweet. I'm glad you enjoyed your gifts and your cakes.

On that thread where that girl "Iwasatwdwforamonth" or something like that was crying about her tags being erased. Well Anewman said he wanted a short tag and then I said since he got "abc" I wanted "123". So the tag fairy just put 231.

Lin- I might be going to Dallas soon! I'm not really sure when, but I will let you know! Steven's sister knows someone who lives in OK and he said he would meet her in Dallas.

Wow!! I started reading that thread...somebody needs to get a grip...did you see there is another thread from the same poster today. Re: a $500 stuffed animal!?! I read these thinking they must be a joke...there is another poster I feel the same way about.:rolleyes1 Someone on the new thread suggested they should meet:lmao:

Good Morning Everyone!

My morning started off bad. I was walking to the car and fell. I hit the ground hard and now it hurts to move my neck. I think I pulled a muscle. I just want to go back home and sleep. :guilty:

Nicole, congrats on the tag. I still haven't received one and I know I have said some brilliant things. ;)

Ashley, I hope you feel better. :grouphug:

Well, I better get to work. Have a great day everyone!!

I'm so sorry you got hurt...lay down with a heating pad. That might help

Good morning!
Thanks for the great breakfast once again Donna! I got to share it with DH as he is home sick.

It's supose to be in the 40's here all week!:yay: Now that I think about it, I don't think I'm that excited because.......Now I will have a swamp in the backyard which makes mud = muddy dog!:scared: I'll take the warmer weather though!:cool1:

Donna, your going to love staying at Wilderness. When we stayed there it seemed very relaxing and calm. Very homey! It was so nice to get on the boat to the MK. I would love to stay there again. :dance3:

Happy fat Tuesday everyone!

Don't eat too many of those paczkis!!!
paczki.jpg

David is sick huh? Poor baby, if he is taking off on Friday he needs to get his butt to work!!

Thanks for the paczkis. Someone always brings them into work but since we are off this week...no paczkis

my other co-worker...makes more sense now w/the stress problems. They said he can barely talk w/o crying:confused: well, then we find out his wife has been cheating and wants a divorce. His wife and 2 daughters are his LIFE. His world revolves around them:sad1: poor guy!!!

Oh that poor man!!:sad2:

I'm sorry DH is sick too! He keeps changing my channel and every time I put the computer down he picks it up!:headache: He is so messing up my morning!:rolleyes1 My dh is usually one of those that refuses to go home when he really needs to be!

David...GO TO WORK!!!!

Michele...Have you seen "our" (that would be me and you) famous picture from WL? Maybe a pm will be in your box.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the picture...we don't look too happy do we??;)

I'm amazed... I just checked the site for the child support transactions on my case with Emma's dad, and a payment is on it's way! This is the first payment I will have received since the first week of November... and it's for a whopping $21.69. Woohoo!! How shall I celebrate? (Not sure if the sarcasm is coming across properly in print.)

Wow try not to spend it all in one place!!

Yay! I just got tagged! It's about time!:yay:

Yippee! :rolleyes1 (to the tune of Someday my Prince will Come..) Soooommmmeedaaaaaay my taaaag willlll cooooome... Sad, I know.

That would be awesome! We would totally have to get together! Keep me informed so I can get the day or evening off!

Lin...good luck with your new personal trainer!:cheer2:
I can barely lift my arms today...I might die.

My Dh is laughing as he is laying here on the couch moaning:rolleyes:. He's shocked that ya'll know he's home sick!:confused3 :lmao: Chicken soup does sound good!:thumbsup2

Do you guys think we could swap pictures? I don't have many, Michele took most of them, we tend to end up taking the same pictures. I would love to see some of the group shots you guys got!
I would LOVE to see some group shots from you guys trip! Is anyone writing a trip report?

Amber, I hope your neck feels better! Perhaps a bubblebath is in order?

Ashley, I had a rash like that one year in college. No one could figure out what it was and the doctor decided it was a combination of stress and dry weather. It itched like heck and it looked like chigger bites. Aloe Vera helped a lot with the itching.

Linda, your poor coworker! My heart goes out to him! There is a new thread today about a woman who just found out her DH is cheating on her. I can't imagine that kind of pain. He is in my prayers!

We definitely need to start planning our next convention! I'm all for free dining! One of my coworkers is going the last week of September. He's hoping to get in on free dining and is leaving the morning after the first Halloween party so he can do that too!

that's bad when the postage and the paper, and envelope are worth far more than the check itself:sad2:

The first time, I almost didn't cash it... I actually considered framing it. Or sending it to David Letterman. :rotfl:

Amber: thanks for the heads-up on the Disney crocs! I think I will check that out... Lyzzie is feeling left out that she doesn't have a matching pair like mine & Emma's.

Hi Toot Sweet!! We are always great over here in The Land of No Cliques! :hippie:

I agree. I really want to go to the next meet. I told Mike that if we stayed at the Poly next Feb. then I would only go to WDW once this year. So, if the next meet is going to be this year, I need to work on convincing Mike. Of course, if the next meet won't be until 2008, then I don't have to worry.

Ok I have a stupid question: how do you use Google checkout? I went through Google, signed up, entered Dick's Sporting Goods through Google Checkout, and when I got to the end it wasn't showing that I was using the Google Checkout and didn't give me the 10.00 off, so I didn't finish the transaction. What am I doing wrong?

ETA: Never mind, I found it. I skipped a button for Google.

Eh... twice I received a check from him for $0.05! I guess the $21 isn't so bad.

lyzziesmom...that's not good.

What age?

Here is what I think.....I wouldn't spend that much on a bat until they are old enough for it to be an advantage. Probably no younger than 13. A baseball player that is 12 or younger will probably not have the bat speed to make that much of a difference between a "nice" $75 bat and a "great" $179 bat.

The main thing he will need is a bat that he can generate the most bat speed with and maintain control.

Ok...tell me what Chase uses? My DS is 9 1/2. He's about 73lbs and 54". This Stealth bat was 29" and very light....I think 20oz (or less). I think the chart at Hibbet's says he could use a 30"? There was a big barrel that was around $70...but I think it was heavier....like 22oz. I just want to get him a good bat but I think you are right...maybe something between $170 and $30? Will you be providing some bats for you team and if so please share some good choices and I'll check them out.:)

Just popping in to say Hi! :hippie: How are all the clique-less DISers doing today? :)

Hey Toot Sweet...this cliqueless Diser is having a good day. I just finished Plum Lovin' and it's about time to pick the kids up...can't beat that.:woohoo:

YM and pozey: I never realized there were so many different kinds of bats! I figured there was wood, and metal... and that's about it. I learn new stuff every day on the DIS!

I have only one decent group shot from the Convention, it's from Tusker House and it's only part of the group... I wasn't sure if anyone would object to PMing it to anyone else on this thread, they haven't seen it yet either. Other than that, most of my pics are of Emma, and a few of Ashley and April. I'd like to see some group shots too! (even if I'm not in them)

I will have to look tonight when I get home to see what size Chase's bat is.

Chase is kinda small for his age. He turned 8 on Christmas Eve. He’s 49 inches tall and weighs about 55 pounds. Compare that to Colton, who will turn 11 in April. Colton is 62 inches tall and weighs 98 pounds.

Most youth bats now come with a length/weight ratio number on it. Like -9. Which means if the bat is 29 inches long, it will weigh 20 ounces.

I found the following chart with GUIDELINES as to size of bat:

Bat Length Guidelines:
Age Bat Length
5-7 24" - 26"
8-9 24"-28"
10-11 28"-30"
11-12 30"-32"
13-14 31"-32"
15-16 32"-33"
17+ 34"

And it had a formula for bat weight:

Weight/4 + 4

Example: Kid's weight is 80 pounds. 60/4 + 4 = 19 ounce bat (maximum).

But the most important thing is that he is able to swing the bat comfortably.

Hi Toot Sweet!! :wave2:

We're doing great here in cliqueless cliquer-land. :woohoo:

Glad to hear it, Pozey! :cutie:

We're doing great! How are you?

I'm doing great too!

Hi Toot Sweet!! We are always great over here in The Land of No Cliques! :hippie:

I can see that. You girls really seem like a fun bunch!! :yay:

Hey Toot Sweet...this cliqueless Diser is having a good day. I just finished Plum Lovin' and it's about time to pick the kids up...can't beat that.:woohoo:

Sounds like a good day, YourMajesty!

Do you girls mind a newcomer crashing your thread? :flower3:

You're welcome here anytime! We actually have a few guys too ;):cheer2:

Thanks, lindamonty. :) I know you....didn't you get married a while back? I think I remember some wedding photos in your siggy, right?

Tinkerbell_Girl, thanks for the welcome!! :flower3: You guys have a very nice thread!

Just so there is no confusion, I also have a second screen name: Bbgrizzle. I usually use this one, but sometimes I post under Bb. I love Bb's tags!! :teeth:

Toot Sweet - we love newcomers!! Stop by anytime, the more the merrier.

Hi, Toot Sweet!

Wow - I'm mystified about all this bat stuff.... amazing.

Lyzziesmom - wow - $21!! Don't spend it all in one place! $ .05 checks???

Lin - sorry to hear about your arms. Is your personal trainer worth it? What that means is: Is his name Lars and he's blonde and buff and gorgeous and of course all the training is "hands-on".... you know, as he demonstrates how to work the machines... (or is he dark and looks like Ranger?) OR is her name Helga, she's from somewhere that used to be part of Russia and she sports a unibrow?
