Hi, Crew!!!
It'a been a busy day. The Cub Sout Pinewood Derby was tonight. Nathan's car didn't do nearly as well as his car did last year. I felt kind of sorry for him.
Both Colton and Chase were in Cub Scouts for awhile. Colton won his Pinewood Derby one year. Chase came in 2nd one year.

pozey:: I meant no offense to you if you've seen Dickie Roberts!!! I started all the explaining and realized that maybe Michele hadn't seen such a movie classic!!!:goodvibes
Oh, no.....No offense.....I was just messin' with ya. It was one of those movies that was actually pretty good......but most people never seen or heard of.

You know, I never understood why they don't 'get' that we don't like to look at the pretty women.....
But they sure don't like to point out the cute guys, do they???

But Pozey - I'm sure you do take care of your DW on this matter....... right? I mean - since you were brought up right and all.....
Sure I will point out good looking guys for her as well. But she's usually faster in picking them out than I am. :rotfl:

Hey DznyFan.....Did you have snowflakes at your house this morning?

I didn't see any, but I just saw the news and somewhere down in Coweta it was snowing pretty hard this morning! I think I heard some sleet on the windows, that was about it. You?
Yeah, we had a few snowflakes at the house this morning. For about five minutes. Didn't amount to anything.

Well, I think April - our friend/neighbor/babysitter - is getting closer and closer to just asking us to adopt her. :rotfl2:

She picked Courtney up from preschool on Friday and took her to the park. DW had an after work going away party for one of her employees, so Courtney went home with April while Colton and Chase went to Swim practice.

After me and the boys got home from practice they came over. Courtney asked if she could spend the night at April's. I told her it was okay and packed her a bag. Then April asked if the boys wanted to come over as well. Of course they said yes. So I packed them a bag.

So all 3 went over and spent the night at April's. She made them pancakes and eggs for breakfast.

Boy is she going to be missed when she goes off to college.

Happy Saturday Night!!!!

I am sitting here watching old episodes of Friends and it is the one where Ross whitens is teeth to neon-ness. Then he is putting makeup on to lessen the whiteness. :lmao:

I got nothing done that I was supposed to today, but had a good day nonetheless. Went to the car show and as suspected spent about an hour too long there, but I made myself just remain calm about it. I had a feeling today would take much longer than I anticipated, so I just had to take the "oh well" attitude. After the car show I went to lunch at a little Italian place called Zia's, then went to the Italian market to pick up some stuffolina. (Italian for stuff:laughing: ) After this I came home for a bit, went to church, got a quick bite for dinner and that's just about it------my day in a nutshell. No cleaning, no laundry, no nothin'!!!! But, I have ALL day tomorrow. Gotta figure out what I'm packing.:dance3:

Yolanda----how did Keagan's party go?? What kind of Piratey things took place?? Are you doing anything for his actual birthday tomorrow??

Nicole---did you get all of your errands run?? Isn't that what Saturdays are for??
Sorry, I don't know who this guy is that you are speaking of. I grew up with Days of Our Lives-----and that was a loooooong time ago.

Lyzziesmom---sorry about your ticket!!!! I always freak out when I see a cop behind me, especially since I have a tendency to be a bit of a lead-foot. Luckily, (knock on wood) I have not gotten pulled over (in a long time:3dglasses ), though. I have a friend who was in a similar situation as you several years ago------she was driving and got pulled over and said to the cop, "I was just going with the flow of the traffic, Officer." Do you believe he let her off with just a warning???!!!! I'm sure she batted her eyes at him, though.:rolleyes1

The last time I got pulled over is quite a story-----I think it was the last time?? Anyway, it was when my ex and I split up and I basically lost my house and everything. I was driving over to see my sister (it was about 11am on a Monday morning) and I was crying-----ALOT----and speeding----ALOT-----and saw a cop driving the opposite way of me (it was a two-lane, EMPTY road). He whipped around so fast and pulled me over. He walked up to the car and gave me the deer in the headlights look because my face was blotchy from crying and, well, even though the hysteria had calmed, I still was in a soft wimper. He asked me where I was going---I told him to see my sister because my BF had just dumped me the night before. I don't think he wanted to touch this one with a ten-foot pole, because he told me to just be careful and get where I was going safely.:lmao: :rolleyes1

Yes, you can borrow my "Moody" sweater-----in between my moods.

You sound like you had a lovely day-----take a deep breath, have another cooler, and tomorrow will be better, I'm sure. So, your mom hasn't given up with the mail yet, has she??

That is too cute that Emma's favorite friend is Kenny.:goodvibes

Programming a phone?? What's that?? With special ringtones?? :scared1: I know, I know-----Wilma really needs to come into this century.:upsidedow

Amber----how exciting about the Poly!!!!! Are you the one who said that the Poly food court has a Dole Whip machine?? For some reason I cannot picture where their food court is. New?? I seem to just be in the Ceremonial House and nowhere else. You better believe I'll be on the hunt next week, though.
Have you "told" Mike yet??:cutie: :lmao:

Sewer----would you like a palm tree to go with that sunshine?? Your request was too cute!!!
I may just have to borrow that link for Valentines Day, if you don't mind.

Michele---good for you for getting the next trip in order!!!! I'm kind of sad because I have nothing planned after next week's trip. At least in October when I went, I could look forward to this one.......but that's not the case after......let's not talk about it.:guilty:
Yay for you, though!!!!
I'm sure Matt with be a handsome little devil in his suit.

Lin----you can't see a similarity between Beyonce and Alice?? They have the same eyebrows.  ---leave it to me to comment on that, huh??

ConventionEars include-----Linda, Mike and Kenny, Lyzziesmom and Emma, Michele, Lesa, YM, Donna, April and Sherri (her sister), and me (2x). Is that all?? I wish everyone could go.

Donna---awww, too bad about Nathan's car this year. I have no idea what to say about that, but   .
Did you get your shopping done?? Did you end up coming to St. Louis??-----by your "skip town" comment.
Hope you are seeing better with your new contacts. I agree with the weaker one in the other eye---I can't imagine having a big blur with only one contact.

Lesa---glad of you to finally join us in excitement!!! j/k----I know what you mean----somehow it doesn't seem real until I'm on that plane.
Hope Madison is feeling better.

DnzyFan----I can't believe you get to see Mary Poppins in NYC!!! I know we had this conversation before, but I really, really, really want to see it!!! I'm so green with envy!!!
How far along are you in Kingdom Keepers?? I read it after reading about it here on the boards. It's good, but I agree with you----CREEPY!!! You will never look at IASW the same again!!!!:rotfl:

Linda----IF AND ONLY IF you are at Walmart and happen to come across an XL------but ----if I find out that you made a special trip-----I will be MAD!!!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ;) Seriously-----it is no big deal---please don't make a special trip just for that-----you have enough going!!
Ooh, that's right----tomorrow is your spa day!!!!! Relax, girlie!!!

Did all the Papyrus' go out of business??? I think they may have.??

April---good luck with the haircut. Hopefully things will be to your advantage this time.
Feel better with the ...... issues:rolleyes1 .

Hi Karen---good to see you again. I could seriously get lost in Borders!!!!! Give me a coffee drink, books and CDs and the hours just fly by!!!

Pozey----what ya been up to this weekend?? Cook anything yummy??
How sweet of Mrs. P. to point out the cute girls for you.
Count me in the group who has never seen nor heard of Dickie Roberts. Should this be on the "must see" list??
Oh my goodness---April sounds too good to be true!!!!

YM----did you fall asleep again??:rotfl2:

I'm getting sleepy myself and have a big cleaning day tomorrow.

Night everyone!!

Good morning all!

Well, Keagan's party went great! He had a great time! The ffod was great and the kids had a blast touching the stingrays, horseshoe crabs and such. Got the party done and my in-laws just left to drive back home this morning. Can't believe my baby is 9! Luckily the snow didn't amount to much yesterday. Just a couple of inches.

Well, I'd better go and feed my crew and then off to church.

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday Night!!!!
Sewer----would you like a palm tree to go with that sunshine?? Your request was too cute!!!
I may just have to borrow that link for Valentines Day, if you don't mind.

It's been snowing here for several days now, so I have not seen the sun in a while let alone anything green.:sad1: I'd settle for a green crayon at this point.

2X!!!! Nice to see you again, and back to your peppy, snarky self I see ;). Y'know, I did tell the cop I was just going along with the traffic - he was nice but still gave me the ticket. Darn it. Too funny about your speeding to your sister's house! When I was in college, I drove a little pickup truck - that'll be important later - and I was headed back to school (in Orlando) from my parents' house (in Ft. Lauderdale) and I was on this little 2-lane road through the swamp, about 1/2 hour from school when I saw a spotlight behind me. It scared me, so I sped up. It was dark, I was running late because I had stopped for dinner. Next thing I know, I heard this loud voice, "Sir, please pull over. SIR, PULL TO THE SIDE!!" The cop got on the bullhorn instead of using the siren! So I pulled over, and he immediately apologized when he saw I was a girl - I guess because of the truck, he assumed I was a guy. This was a very rural swampy area, near the town of Christmas for any of you who know the area. Anyway, as soon as he apologized, I knew I had the upper hand. I gave him a sob story with big doe eyes about how my parents would be so worried if I was late calling them (this was pre-cell phone days, boys & girls) and I just wanted to get home to call my mom, and I was scared driving alone in the dark through the swamp. He not only let me go, but escorted me back to civilization!!

Contrast that with my very first speeding ticket.... which coinkidinkilly was also on my way back to school, this time on an empty stretch of highway. A HUGE female officer pulled me over - seriously, she was like the big blonde in Police Academy. She said very sternly (I will never forget), "I clocked you at 82, followed you at 90. Licence, registration, proof of insurance." Those are the only words she ever said to me... I was like, "um, okay!" Terrified, I tell you.

Now that story time is over... hey chicas, we are only FIVE DAYS OUT!! I must go collect laundry unless I want to have no socks & undies to pack. (TMI??) I think we are staying in today. We will be watching Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, anyone seen it? I think after we are done with the Narnia series, Lyzzie and I might start reading the Snicket books, they look like fun.

Haven't seen Donna or breakfast this morning, so here's a little something in her honor (not nearly as good as the real thing though)....

Good morning everyone and have a Super-de-Duper Sunday!

I just noticed that I passed the 2,000 post mark... a while back, it looks like. I'm sure most of it was here, I just love talking to you guys! (even if nobody's reading it.)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I think I need to pick up the pace a bit! I read alot of posts, it's getting around to posting that's my problem.

I'm still feeling rough this morning. Hopefully, by this afternoon I'll be feeling better. I only have 4 days left. But, one good thing about not being employed yet is that I'll have time to pack tomorrow and Tuesday for our trip.

Happy birthday Keagan! My oldest turned 9 in July!

Hey.... our weather guy said it's been 34 days since you've seen the ground in the Devner area....wow.

It's been snowing here for several days now, so I have not seen the sun in a while let alone anything green.:sad1: I'd settle for a green crayon at this point.

Enjoy

Good morning everyone and have a Super-de-Duper Sunday!

lyzziesmom....as long as you get those socks cleaned and packed.;) Thanks for the free cyber breakfast. I had to look at that twice. I was thinking "don't you need to pay for the coffee"? Then I realized there was NO coffee in that drink.:rotfl2: It definately would fill you up with the half n half!

2x....are you cleaning?:rolleyes1 I'm getting ready for church...can you tell?

Donna....sorry about Nathan's car yesterday. We did that last year and it was lots of fun....but we didn't when.

Pozey...I think ya'll have a knack for winning! I was just thinking about the boys Derby cars. My oldest decided not to do scouts this year. How's the swimming going?

I just noticed that I passed the 2,000 post mark... a while back, it looks like. I'm sure most of it was here, I just love talking to you guys! (even if nobody's reading it.)

Somebody must be reading?:rolleyes1

Well gotta run...church...b-day dinner for my dad...etc.....:yay:

Good Morning all!!

I am trying to see if I can type right now. My hands are shaking so badly. I woke up this morning and went out to get the paper. I found that someone ( I'm positive I know who!) shredded those car ad magazines and threw the paper all over my front yard!! I couldn't deal with it then, came in read my paper, then got dressed and cleaned it up. Well I have asthma that is triggered by either animals or cold, dry air. Guess which one I dealt with this morning!! By the time I came in I could barely catch my breath, I had to use my inhaler and sometimes ( like today) it will cause me to just shake like crazy!

I still have to go into the attic and get my summer clothes, try things on and get started packing! I can't wait. I really need this!

DznyFan and Michele: what is this Kingdom Keepers book? I think I've heard of it before, but I thought it was a kids' book so maybe I'm thinking of something else.

It is kind of a kids book but it is really good. You should read it!

Lyzziesmom...I almost forgot.....Congrats on 2,000 posts!!:cool1: I have to get busy, I feel like such a slacker compared to some of you. I wish I could DIS at work!

Good morning , Crew!!!! I just couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning, so I'll just serve up a little brunch.
Grab your hot beverage and join me in some cinnamon rolls!!! (It's 15 degrees here this morning!!):cold:

I hope everyone has a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Sunday!!

I was going to offer you a green crayon, but YM beat me to it-----that girl!!!
Spring is just around the corner though, eh??

OH MY!!!!! This is hilarious!!!!! Do people really do this?? Too funny!!
I was also cracking up at your speeding stories. Pretty smart of you on the dark swampy two-lane highway. The other chick---well----I don't think you could have gotten out of that one if ya tried. I wonder with my situation if the cop would have been female-----would she have understood and been sympathetic about the breakup?? I just think the guy thought he'd better not mess with that one----at that moment, who knew what men meant to me!!:lmao:

Years ago (way back in the early 70's:lmao: :lmao: ) my mom had a friend who got pulled over and she had her baby in the car. Well, as soon as she saw the lights, she reached back and pinched him. Well, naturally, he started SCREAMING bloody murder, so when the cop came up to the window she used the excuse that she was just trying to get home to get the baby out of the car. He let her go!!!! Did I tell this story already?? If so, sorry.
Keep in mind that the laws were waaaay lax back in the day and if anyone knew she did this----well, you know what would have happened. But, these were also the days when my mom drove down the highway in a corvette with four kids (my sister and I and two friends) and two pool rafts already INFLATED!! Seatbelts, what were those??:scared1: Hmmm, just a thought, I suppose the rafts would have made excellent airbags.:lmao:

Stories over.

Sincerely,

The Snarky Pin-cess.:3dglasses :3dglasses

p.s. Congrats on over 2000!!!!! And, I have never seen the Limony Snicketts movie. (I almost typed "Snickers"----must be hungry)

2x....are you cleaning?:rolleyes1

Who, me??:rolleyes1

Shhh, don't tell anyone I'm here (including myself).:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I made a promise to myself---no DISING until I get things done.

Have fun at your dad's birthday dinner. Later, chickie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEAGAN!!!!!!!!

:bday: :bday: :cake: :cake: :bday: :bday:
