Hi again--

I told you that I would post some photo's of the invites I did for my son's party-- It's a message in a bottle and the ribbon is tied to the message to make it easy for them to take it out.

So here they are:

Those are some of the COOLEST invitations I have EVER seen!! Very well done!! :thumbsup2

Okay. I thought I share some photo's of the big snow we had in December.

Here's my son sledding on the sno run my husband built in our yard

Here's the top of the sled run off the front porch:

More of the run:

You can see how deep it was at this point and it snowed for 2 more days after this:

Okay-- I'm done with all the photo's :rolleyes1 sorry to take over and make it a photo thread. Can you tell I just found the time to upload my photo's to photobucket.;)

Have a great Friday!

I hope everyone has a Fabulous Friday!!!:flower3:

Thanks Donna...Yumm! Hey we had some good melting yesterday and today is going to be even warmer.:yay: :yay: Hopefully they can get the school lots cleared and melting will occur on the side roads? Pozey and DznyFan...do you think the side roads will clear today? Oh, we won't talk about this weekend....Jon Slater was saying that some of it might fall as rain.:confused3

Hello everyone!

Who is tired of the cold & snow? I'm going here

Who is with me? :cool2: (It's a beach I was at in Haiti during my last cruise)

Linda-- You've gone even longer than I have ... It's only been 5 years since my last raise... Luckily my husband brings home most of our bacon ;)

Have a great Friday everyone!

Yolanda...that's a lovely picture. I'm longing to see the sun! Loved your invitations and snow pictures...that's a ton of snow.

Pozey...goodness...those pictures are incredible. Almsot a week after the storm.:sad2:

Hey 2xcited...I guess you must remain calm with needles or you would spend a significant amout time passed out. Sorry about all the scars from the IV's. I don't know what I would do if they needed vein access all the time...my veins are not good for iv's. The one i had during my gallbladder surgery blew the vein in my hand...it's gone...that was a major burise.(sorry...I can her the cringing with that comment).

I tried to talk my kids into a pajama day but my oldest is not buying into it? Well I am because I'm still in my pj's!

I'm sure the schools will be working hard on their property today (and yesterday), since some of this ice has became slushy - but with more coming tomorrow, I don't know if they'll make it back in to school Monday or not.

YM: My kids love pajama days! We usually do a pj day every weekend. It drives my parents nuts when they come over and we are all in our jammies. :)

pozey: Those pictures are tragically beautiful. I can't believe it still looks like that a week later. This is going to sound really weird, but it reminds me of the ice palace that Superman goes to in the old movies.

Yes I know, I'm a huge dork.

Yolanda: Those invitations are so awesome! I wouldn't even want to open it, it's so pretty. Keagan is one lucky little boy to have a mom like you.

2x: Good luck with your treatment. I hope they don't poke you too many times!

"tragically beautiful" --- that is a good definition.

And DW back on Wednesday commented to me how everything looked "crystalized". So the Superman reference works perfectly.

I have to tell you guys this......

As you know the schools around here have been closed all week. Well, the Boys and Girls Club where I take the boys to before and after school care has also been closed. So, since Tuesday they have been staying with April – my neighbor/babysitter/adopted daughter. So, I asked her last night when I got home how much she wanted me to pay her for watching the boys. Now, she has not been watching Courtney the entire time. Courtney’s pre-school/daycare has been open and I have been taking her there. But April has been going to pick Courtney up in the afternoons and bringing her home.

So, anyway, I ask her how much she wants me to pay her. She said “I talked to my mom about it and we decided we don’t want you to pay me anything.” :scared1: She said that since she calls us all the time to ask if she could come over and play with the kids, she feels like she would be playing with them anyway.

I was floored. So, I have now decided to go somewhere today at lunch and get her a gift certificate somewhere. I am incredibly blessed. :goodvibes

pozey: you are truly lucky to have such a great person in your life. You must have done some great things to deserve this.

Pozey-- What a great babysitter/young lady! You are indeed very blessed to have her close by. That ice is terrible! I talked to my grandma-in-law ( ) yesterday who is in Springfield, MO and she said it's been terrible there also. I hope this next storm isn't so bad!

We still have about a foot and a half of snow in our yard and our neighborhood streets are still covered with about a 5 inch ice sheet. More snow and cold weather are in the forcast so it doesn't look like it's going to melt anytime soon. The kids love the snow but we are all tired of bumpy roads!

2x-- good luck today!!!

Thanks for the feedback on the invitations! I thought that they turned out pretty cute myself. His birthday party is on the 27th and I think we are going to have a lot of fun! We're doing a scavenger hunt through the aquarium, feeding the stingrays, and having lunch. The good thing is that I don't have to cook the food and clean up (this is the 1st year that's ever happened!).

Well, I need to get a little cleaning done and I have a couple of errands to do. We're going over to my mom and dads for my birthday dinner tonight, but I'll try to check back in with everyone later.

Oh, I just looked at your tickers for those of you going to WDW in Feb. It's getting sooo close! We're gonna miss you around here though!

Don't know about that......

But I do feel blessed.

Well, I'm off to lunch. I convinced my mom to meet me at Olive Garden with Emma becaue I've been in the mood for Italian food. I wish she would come pick me up here so everyone here could meet Emma, but maybe next time.

Yolanda: that sounds like a great party! I'm sure the kids will love it. And the best part is not needing to cook and clean, yay for you!!

mmmmmmmmm...........salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden!!

I love Olive Garden. Their new chicken rigatoni dish is sooo good!

I'm starving; Mike was suppose to come by and get me for lunch, but he's running late. I hope I get to eat soon. :guilty:

There is an Olive Garden about 2 miles from my office. And there is a Hooters about 1 mile from my office.

Which shall it be......:rotfl2:

No, I brought leftover spaghetti. I just finished heating it up. Gonna chow and DIS now.... :cool1:
