I just don't want to have to pack gloves and coats....... I am hoping for good weather and low crowds. Is that too much to ask ??:confused3

I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO GLOVES AND COATS!pixiedust: pixiedust: Myabe a little pixie dust will help!

YM: I plan on overpacking as usual, and then probably rewearing the same 2 or 3 things (like a certain Micken sweater) as usual.

I stepped into the bathroom here at my parent's house to put away a hairbrush Emma had got from somewhere, and guess what I stepped in? A floor full of water!! The toilet had overflowed & I didn't know. Ugh - I'm so tired of water, I'm afraid to even take a shower thinking the showerhead will probably fall off.

:scared: Yuck...hang in there.

Hey Nicole...next year for sure!:cheer2:

Well my mom just called and said, "It doesn't look good." RotoRooter can't get the clog out with a 200-foot snake. I guess they are going to try one more thing, something about blowing compressed air down the drains to force it out, and then they don't know what to do!

I am not in any clique either..of course I have been gone from the DIS for a LONG time so those that were in my "play group" wouldn't remember me *sob*..

Michele...only 2" of snow...wow:confused3 I think we are starting to get our thrid batch of winter weather just since Friday...I hope it's not ice. Looks like OKlahoma City is getting blasted with ice right now. :sad2:

It is so weird, by this time last year we had over 27 inches of snow. I keep thinking we are going to pay for this weather, big time.

Hey Linda...I sent you a PM about the sweater! I'm so glad to hear that the electrical stimulation is helping Mike! I think I may have had something like that at physical therapy...is it a tens unit? Ummm...it sounds like Mike knows your shopping habits fairly well....:rolleyes1

Lesa had a tens unit after a car accident. The guys had too much fun playing with it:confused3 :lmao: They loved to make their muscles contract into the strangest positions.

I hope they can fix it. You really don't want them to have to dig up your yard. My ILs had to do that and the worst part was their plumbing connected to the sewer across the street. They had to dig up the street! and they had to pay to repave the street. They were out BIG BUCKS!!:scared:

Welcome... I remember you and your girls. I saw on the other thread that your DH is back in the US even tho he isn't home with you, you must be very relieved. and proud! Join us anytime!!

Blake and I ran to Kohl's for a jersey he saw last night that he liked. Other than that I have accomplished pretty much nothing today. I am having a very lazy day. And I am enjoying it!

Poor Lyzziesmom!!! The plumbing problems seem to be following you! I hope it all gets resolved soon, but it's not looking good, is it?

Hi, Steffali and Remyandhollandsmommy! :welcome:

Here's a little Irish coffe for anybody who wants a little warm up on this COLD day!

Hope you all are having a lovely Sunday!

Oh no Michele, don't tell me that! I have about a whole $200 to spare and the city is on their way out to my house. We are pretty sure that the main drain connects to something in the backyard, but a couple houses down so hopefully no repaving here. I'm really hoping it just turns out to be a stubborn clog, but judging by the mud & stuff that has come up I really have no idea. I had to bathe in my parents' tub and I hate that. It just kind of skeeves me out to bathe or shower where other people (especially my parents!:crazy2: ) recently have. I've just recently gotten used to the shower at my own house!

This is weird, Emma is watching a Wiggles video and they sing a Hoop-de-doo song that sounds a lot like the one at the Hoop-de-doo Revue at WDW! I wonder if it's the same song?

DznyFan: I'm not a coffee drinker, but for Irish coffee I might make an exception! There is a box of wine in the fridge here that is starting to look mighty good.

Karen, cute video! Very clever. How long did it take them to make that?

About 2 evenings. The first evening they filled up 2 memory cards on the digital camera, so they had to stop. Maybe 6 hours total? Makes you appreciate those stop motion full length movies!

DznyFan......LOVE the pictures!! I especially like the one of the antenna topper!!

We went out sledding again earlier. Then it started raining again, so we came in and made spaghetti. Our neighbor - and baby sitter - came over. She sledded with the kids and stayed for spaghetti.

I need to go out and take some more pictures.

yeah, and he likes to buy them when I'm sleeping for gifts;) SMART GUY!!! Yes, you're right...its a tens unit.

I am not in any clique either..of course I have been gone from the DIS for a LONG time so those that were in my "play group" wouldn't remember me *sob*..

You're welcome here anytime Angela :)!

Oh that Irish Coffee looks wonderful! Here is a little short video for your viewing pleasure. My DSs and their friends were bored and decided to make it. It is called "Smart Box."

Karen
omg... I would have no idea how to do something like that!! Smart kids!!

lyzziesmom...good luck!!! Mike just reminded me I had a problem like that last year or the year before..and it wouldn't snake out b/c it was ice! They poured salt down it and that was it!

dznyfan...BRRRRR!!!! Hope you get rid of that ice soon!!! That does not look like any fun at all!:crazy2: Especially to drive in!!

Geeez, I was at a wrestling tournament all day so my head is splitting from all the noise. And I swear it's been raining here in Ohio what seems to be forever. :sad2:, but ice like that is not to be believed! Can someone out there please apply some pixiedust: so the sun will come back?

Hi all,

OK, so I totally disapeared last night. I need to check and see if 2x ever got her sweater but first. . .

I have like two things to share with you guys...

First of all you've got to check this out:
http://www.ownerslocker.com/

It's called Owner's Locker and it's a new company opening up in Orlando.
Here is an excerpt from their website

What Is Owner's Locker???
…well, it’s a new company…..

...and, it’s a great new service that allows you to store you vacation stuff in Orlando between visits……

...and, it’s a special container that you load with your vacation gear!

Here’s what an Owner’s Locker looks like:
Standard%20Locker_open.JPG

It’s about 22 inches long, 20 inches wide and 13 inches high. There’s space to store lots of personal items…you know….the things you like to have on vacation. Until now, you’ve had to do without, haul the items back and forth or even buy them every trip and then just throw them away.

Inside, it has dividers to keep things like bottles from falling over. And a neat transparent box with lots of compartments for little things.

You pack it up and seal it. We pick it up and store it until you come back. And then we have it waiting for you at the front desk of your resort for your next visit.

So, on their website they are giving away free two year trial memberships if you sign up and register with them (you don't give them any money or credit card info. You just sign up on their site and I left a comment about how often we travel and how I have one small suitcase that I keep packed specifically for Disney trips --which is true-- and how I'm always schlepping the thing back and forth and how I think this is a great idea. . .) and then you might get picked.

And, I got picked!! How cool is that?

Visiting Orlando Again Soon?

Want to help us fine tune an exciting new service for frequent visitors?
You may qualify* for a FREE 2-Year No-Obligation Trial Membership in Owner’s Locker.
We’re a new company that will allow you to store your vacation gear here in Orlando between visits. That’s right, no more hauling so many things back and forth. We provide a special container AND we have it waiting for you at the front desk of your resort when you check in. Then we pick it up from your resort when you leave and store it in our climate controlled warehouse until your next vacation.

We want to fully test and fine tune our service before we offer it to the general public. Which is why we’re looking for a few pioneers who won’t be shy with their comments. We’ll be signing up about 100 people and we’re looking for folks who’ll be visiting Orlando in the next few months. We are also seeking a diversified range of participants—some who drive; some who fly; some vacation club members/timeshare owners-from a variety of resorts; and some people who just keep coming back to the Orlando area. If you’d like to participate, see if two or more of following statements apply to you and provide us with contact info. We’ll get back to you quickly about whether you qualify for one of our free 2 year trial memberships.

Owner’s Locker could be just the thing for you if:

layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You visit the Orlando area frequently.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You are tired of having to pack so much “stuff” to bring on vacation.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You own a timeshare or vacation club in Orlando.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You’ve ever had to buy another piece of luggage before returning home.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You’ve ever shipped items to Orlando so you could have them while you’re on vacation.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You’ve ever thrown items away rather than cramming them in your luggage when returning home.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
The new airline restrictions have become a serious hassle.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You’ve looked at what needs to go back into your luggage and just shook your head.
layout_list_bullet_box.gif
You’ve ever wished that you had certain items from your home with you on vacation that you didn’t want to pack or couldn’t pack (not enough room)? i.e. your coffee maker, coffee grinder, water filter (Orlando water is terrible), mini-stereo, Playstation for the kids, family bikes, etc.

Of course, now my excitement has worn off and I'm like, "Is this a good idea? What if they go out of business and they have my stuff." Not that it would be expensive stuff like cameras or whatever but still. :confused3

Anyway, thought I'd pass that on in case any of you were interested.

The next thing I have to share with you all is about my plane tickets.

You know how I was holding off and holding off and holding off fretting over the price of the tickets? And how when I went in December the roundtrip was cheaper than one leg of this trip? Well, I didn't buy them. Sherri got her tickets, I reserved the rooms, we're set up for the Disney Dining Plan. But, I still didn't buy my tickets. I say something to Sherri about this and she was like, "WHAT????? WHAT do you mean you don't have your tickets??? You're telling me you don't have your tickets????" She was a bit freaked out. So I say, "Yeah, I better get them. I'll get them right now while we're on the phone together."

So, I go to the website and guess what?????? :hyper: They were $29 again!! :woohoo: party: :dance3:

How cool is that? Now I feel justified! :p I just kept getting disgusted every time I thought about paying so much more per ticket and that's why I was dragging my feet. Totally a principle thing.:rolleyes2
Now I know it could have totally gone the other way. And I could have ended up paying more but I am so happy I'm not!!!! :cool1:

$29 tickets!!! I'd be there all the time for that!!! I'd fly down just for dinner for $29!!! That is awesome. You're right, sometimes it works in our favor to hold off...sometimes not...Glad it worked out!!
Those lockers are a cool idea. Free trial, way to go!!!

sewer...I'm w/ya. sick of the rain. We didn't even bother going to any dealerships car shopping, I don't want to be out in this weather looking at cars!:sad2:

Oh, and one more thing

I keep having stupid "nightmares" about this trip. :sad2: :rotfl:

On Friday night I dreamed that we drove and drove and drove to the airport (don't know why, it's only 45 mins. away IRL) to come down for the convention :rotfl: and it was me and Steven and Sherri and some baby.

And then we get to the airport and board the plane and I've got this little iddy baby boy in a baby carrier and they make me stow him under the seat in front of me. Because all carry ons must be stowed. :confused3 Then, I suddenly realize that I didn't touch the outside of the plane when I got on.
Little whacky fun fact about me: Before every airplane ride, when I'm boarding the plane just before I get on the plane I MUSTtouch the outside of the plane. So, I start freaking out and Steven's like, "What's going to happen if you don't touch it? Is the plane going to crash" but he said it like all sarcastic! And I was like I don't know but I've just GOT to touch it. So, they're getting ready to take off but I get up out of my seat just before they close the door and slap the side of the plane. I rush back to my seat but the plane's already taking off and even the stewardists(sp?) are in their seatbelts. I get back into my seat and suddenly realize that I forgot all of our Annual Passes. Mine, Steven's and Sherri's!! I'm all of a sudden terrified, just struck with fear with the thought that NONE of us will be able to get into any of the parks because I forgot the passes!!

That was the worst part of that dream, that I forgot the passes.

Then, last night (Saturday) I dreamed that Sherri and I had made it down to the convention but for some reason the group was going to MGM but we ended up in Magic Kingdom :confused3 . Only it wasn't Magic Kingdom but in my dream it was Magic Kingdom. Ever have those dreams where it "feels" like you're at your Grandmom's house and in the dream it IS your Grandmom's house but in real life it's not your Grandmom's house? Well, that's how this dream was. Anyway, we're in this carnival looking Frontierland seperated from you guys but I can't get in touch with any of you because I left the phone numbers sheet back in the room. And I was just so distressed
panic.gif
that I wouldn't be able to find any of you, the whole reason I came down on the trip. And I was just wringing my hands and didn't know what to do. And I was just a mess and all of the Cast Members who were acting and talking like "Carnies" were trying to make me feel better by giving me pins.

So, there are my dreams about this trip. Anyone else as crazy as me with the dreams?

I just hope I don't have one tonight. I don't know how much more I can take. :crazy2:

oh...poor lyzziesmom has had some good ones about this trip;)... Thankfully I haven't had any...YET! Sorry... that is pretty funny. It isn't at the time...then you wake up like what the heck was that all about? :rotfl2: Thankfully it WAS just a dream!
