Linda----I see your Minnie kissing Mickey. Is there another pic in your sig that I'm missing?? Or is my mind playing tricks on me??
I wanna go on a cruise!!!! (I'm stomping)----I've only been on one (Disney, of course) and I didn't even get to eat at the fancy restaurant. :guilty:
I'm an April b-day too!!! When's yours?? Mine is the 26th. (Taurus, the bull-headed one :teeth: ) oh, I just read----yours is the 29----yay, another April girl!!!!!!
:lmao: I can't believe Mike told Kenny that about the dinosaurs!!! :lmao: Bad Mike!!! :lmao:
oh, I forgot too-----  ---------> my face when I read about your ex's soon to be ex to the fifth!!!!!! Unreal!!!!! She sounds like a real winner. I hope the others are correct in saying that maybe since she was the instigator in him being such a role in Kenny's life, maybe he will just fade out now that she is gone. That would be great for you, Mike and Kenny.
Wow, what a great explanation of the DCL!!!!! I just remember relaxing!!! I only got to do the short 3 day, I think it was. But, it was amazing!!!
I had a pix of me and Kenny in it but I took it off. Time for a change. Pretty soon it'll be one of our Feb trip :woohoo: I didn't eat at Palo until the last time :faint: Lets see, my first cruise was w/my sil and 5 yr old niece, 2nd was w/the x and  nuf said there Kenny went too, 3rd I took my mom, 16 yr old cousin and Kenny, and last time was Mike,Kenny and I. That was the best by far :cloud9: Our last night we went to Palo. It was magnificent!!! This time we're doing the dinner and brunch. I love Alaskan King crab..I saw pix of the brunch w/the king crab all stacked up cut in 1/2... I was drooling... April 26th birthday :woohoo: that's awesome!! In school I had like 6 friends that had b/d's w/in 2 weeks. Talk about hopping from one party to the next. Mike loves teasing my mom. It is great, they have a great relationship. She'll call me and tell me how lucky we are to have found such a wonderful man and she can just see that he loves me so much... snif snif... he is so incredible :lovestruc !! you'll see Mike is a hoot to be around :teeth: It'll be interesting to see what Kennys dad does now. He was there last night and said she left in the middle of the night :rolleyes1 hmmm to the Holiday Inn?? He's just getting what he deserves :thumbsup2 I could go on and on for days about DCL. Its funny b/c you start checking prices w/ta's and they try to start talking about other cruise lines... NO...its only DCL for me thank you!! Esp. w/a 5 yr old. Yes...they are amazing. we'll have to go some other time than Dec. b/c you've got to be able to join us ::yes:: Great review btw;)

Oh YM... cookies sound so wonderful! I bought 3 at KFC for lunch, does that count :rotfl: I'll have to start my baking here real soon too. I'm ready for some truffles

OMG---this is too funny-----I was going to say Russian Teacakes!!!!! I love them!!! (sugar balls :teeth: )

Put your apron on, and don't forget your holiday earrings (maybe the ones you wore to chop that wood).

I'll be in and out tonight too. You know me, I can't be here and use the phone at the same time, unless it's my cell.

Oh sure.. I will probably put on my cooking heels too...I'll see what I can come up with. I think there was something else you and my DS had in common....some other food but I can't remember? Ok...Wilma...I'll catch you between batches or phone calls. :yay:

Hi Linda :wave2: ....do you know how to make truffles? Tell me...I'm really not good at making candy. :sad2:

Hey there YM... I have a recipe I made last year. I've got to find it b/c they were sooooo good!!!! It's around here somewhere. they were called truffles but they weren't like the ones I love from wdw w/the really soft smooth center. If that makes sense :goodvibes I can send you the recipe when I find it :rolleyes1 I love candies and fudge etc. I use to make it a lot w/my grandma :cloud9: mmmm buckeyes

I was reading this thread about a ladies dh getting detained at the airport shew... what a story!

2x2s.......GREAT review of the Hollywood Brown Derby! One of my favorites!!

Well done!! :thumbsup2

Good evening everyone!!! Just got back from dinner a while ago. Went to a Chinese Buffet. It wasn't bad.
I was reading the posts earlier and I'm afraid I'm not even going to attempt to reply to everyone!!! That's ok, I LOVE a chatty day!!! :goodvibes

I can't believe it!!! We (so far) escaped the awful weather. Had a few minor flurries this morning and it's really cold, but not much else!! WHEW!!! :thumbsup2

2x2s:: How did you know I always wanted a Chia Pet?? I wish you would have gotten the Garfield one, but thank you just the same! :teeth:
Your review of the Brown Derby was excellent....now I'm hungry!!!
I wonder what your Cliqueless Question of the Day will be?

YourMajesty:: Having an extra boy tonight? Sounds like my night last Saturday!! Have fun. I'll take some homemade peanut butter cookies. I'm the only one in the family that likes them, so I never make them just for me.
Don't forget to wear a frilly apron with those earrings and high heels, June. :teeth:

lyzziesmom:: Wow!! The newscast was about your town!! Sorry to hear your area got the snow. Darn the luck. Be careful out there!!

Lesa:: Glad to hear you made it to see The Nutcracker. Even better that you enjoyed it!!

Lin:: Thanks for the yummy Starbucks' drink!!! I'm savoring each delicious sip!! Congrats on 1000 posts!!! :cheer2:

Everyone that got snow...pozey, DznyFan, Lesa, lyzziesmom. 2x2s, Yolanda and YourMajesty...PLEASE be careful out there!!!

Hey kiddos!! What a fun day I had! House clean? nah. After I dropped my DH off at friend's to go hunting, I braved the slushy streets and did a little shopping - finished up my Christmas decoration shopping, picked up one Christmas gift, and got some baking ingredients so we could bake gingerbread men! And I baked some pumpkin bread. YM still has me beat, though..... I don't chop wood. ;)

Linda - with the weather that we've got here, your cruise pictures were REALLY making me long for another cruise. Not fair!!! Love the idea of doing land sea if Erin's choir gets to do CP - but she told me today that the jazz choir is supposed to go to NYC next year - I don't know if that means Disney is out, but I'd bet it does. :( I guess I'll just wait till she's a cast member. She REALLY wants to be Belle (imagine that!) but I think she'll be very happy to be part of Voices of Liberty - she's been entertaining that option lately.

Lyzziesmom - not only was she very late, and they finally broke down and induced me on the 26th - then she was 27 hours of labor, and my *bleepety bleep bleep* OB wouldn't do a C-section. Insisted she be delivered natural. Not a good thing for her. Not a good labor/delivery for the impatient....

Pozey - Poor Chase!!! You should definitely take him to Disney for a birthday - they will do so much for birthday kids!! You can even call and get with the right person and set some 'things' up for them, too. Of course, that means you'd just have to take the other two sometime in April for theirs, right?

YM - sugar balls??? :rotfl2:

2X - I wish I were close enough to you to do some creme brulee..... you'd get over it. All these desserts and such look so good tonight!

Linda...the candies sound yummy!

Donna...ok...some peanut butter for you...I wish I had some Hershey Kisses. Wasn't that lyzziesmom that said she liked those or maybe I'm getting confused tonight. Too much vanilla? ;)

2x2s:: Thanks so much for the marvelous review of the Brown Derby. Do you think it's not worth the two credits? Now I'm second guessing myself. Our plain lands at 4:00pm at Sanford Airport, we have to get the rental and then I think it takes about an hour to get from there to Disney property. Steven and I just figured we'd eat off property (because we'll probably be hungry by then) the first night or we'll just get a counter service type meal. So, we'll have all of our meals most likely for Tuesday. Our plain leaves at noon on Sunday so we'll have to be leaving fairly early to be there for our 2 hours or hour and a half whatever they require so we won't be using any of our meals on Sunday that we have left over from Tuesday (does that make sense?). So, that's why we chose to do a TS that did take 2 credits. But now, I don't know because I've heard a few people over on the Dining Plan board say none of the restaruants are worth 2 credits. I just don't know. I'll probably just stick to what we have.

Looking over on All Ears Net I was thinking I'd like to try
Lobster Bisque with sweet corn, truffle creme fraiche and snipped chives $6.79
or
Seared Sea Scallop with barbecued pork rib belly and corn relish $8.39
as my appetizer. Not sure yet. I was definately going with the Lobster Bisque but when you say you still think about the Seared Sea Scallop well that must be some dish!!
Char-grilled Filet Mignon with Dijon crushed potatoes, shallot-shiitake confit, mizuna and merlot reduction $28.99 for my entree
and I was thinking
Grapefruit Cake - A Brown Derby Original! Light Layers of Yellow Cake with fresh Grapefruit Cream Cheese Icing $6.19 too for my desert but that Flourless cake looks fabulous!!
Flourless Chocolate Cake with port wine chocolate sauce, fresh berries and mango ice $7.99

Oh decisions decisions.
But thanks for the great review. I think DH was thinking of the grouper too but he definately likes a kick. So, I'm going to let him read your review if you don't mind. :goodvibes

I haven't really hung out on the Restaruant board. I have ventured over there to research the DDP but I guess I'll need to get over there and check it out.

OK, so I just found the Disney Dining Experience (reviews). Can you believe I didn't "see" this before. I must have been so intent on reading about the DDP that I totally didn't see this sub forum even though (now) I see it's right under the DDP sub forum. ~Duh!!~

Anyway, I see people talking about sharing. What do they mean sharing so that they can save their credits? As in you order one meal and share it between the both of you with one credit? They allow this? I think DH would be mortified but before I venture over there and look like an idiot asking questions I know nothing about I thought maybe you all would know? I'll keep reading over there, though.

Oh, and the cookies sound great! Me I can't bake worth a flip. I even manage to mess up the pilsbury dough. But I'll definately eat some of ya'lls.

****2x2s/Wilma/Pin-cess is formally requesting special permission from Lyzziesmom to supply and post the Cliqueless Question of the Day for Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006****

Permission granted.

Tomorrow,
Saturday the Second of December,
in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Six,
2xcited2slp shall have special concession
to supply and post
the Cliqueless Question of the Day.
So says lyzziesmom,
so it shall be.

I had no luck with getting a babysitter for the evening, but I did take the girls with to the At Home America (or whatever it was called) party portion of the evening. It was really fun! There were 3 or 4 other ladies from work there and I got to know them a bit. The host's DD7 was there, but she & Lyzzie were too shy to even look at each other. However, they & Emma bonded a bit over the household pet: a RAT. Yup, a nice big ol' black rat. Didn't bother me any but some of the ladies were quite skeeved out - Emma could not get enough of it. I think she kissed it when I wasn't looking.

Looks like DBF might be making an appearance tonight, so I am off to hop in the shower. (Technically, there will be no actual hopping involved due to risk of injury.) I will attempt to catch up later!

YM - those sugar balls wouldn't happen to be blue, would they?? ;)

Cliqueless Question of the Day:

(inspired by 2x's Brown Derby review)

What is your favorite WDW restaurant?

I love the atmosphere at the SciFi Dine In Theater, although they royally screwed up my order last time. They did fix it nicely and comp the meal. We also adore the Crystal Palace, but I think my very favorite is 1900 Park Fare. So far. There are so many I haven't tried. I love the Concourse Steakhouse. I am such a picky eater, a lot of the 'froufrou' places do not impress me. My one must-have food item at WDW is not even from a restaurant, it's a Citrus Swirl in Adventureland!

April:: I really don't have any advice for the DDP, but good luck with the decisions!! :p
Does our Southern Belle need to take a cooking class? :teeth:

What is your favorite WDW restaurant?

Favorite restaurant? hmmmm.....
My top faves are Olivia's, Cape May Cafe, 50's Prime Time Diner, Le Cellier, and Restaurant Marakkesh (spelling?). I'm also quite fond of O'Hana, and love having breakfast at Chef Mickey's! (let's face it, there's not many places in WDW I DON'T like to eat...)

CONGRATULATIONS, LIN ON 1,000!!!! :rockband: party:

There are so many restaruants that I haven't tried :guilty: but of the ones I have, I'd have to say 50's Prime Time Cafe. We've eaten there 3 times and every time the food was great and the waiters/waitresses were a hoot! We really enjoy it here and love the food. Thanks for asking. :wave2:

Does our Southern Belle need to take a cooking class? :teeth:
Yes!! Yes I do. I'm not very good at it try as I might. This is one thing I miss about living close to my DMiL. She had nine kids (DH is #8) and she could never get used to cooking for only two so she always had us come up for dinner. ----Like almost every single night--- It was great. I'd help her clean up which she always appreciated and she'd have us eat there which I always appreciated . It was a win/win for both of us. Now here I am, almost 9 years later and I'm still a so/so cook at best. It's just one of the things I'm not very good at.

Make sure you wear your pearls too. Accessorize----it's the key. :teeth:

Well done!!

awww, thanks Pozey!! Do you mind me asking what entrees you enjoyed?? As I mentioned, I loved the Cobb Salad, of course, and the seared scallop/pork, and the chocolate cake, but would love to try a different main course. Any suggestions??

Hi Donna---you are lucky that the weather missed you. Do you believe that the Florissant area is out of power again?? This is where alot of my family lives and they were the ones hit badly last summer with the storms. I worry about my aunt who is somewhat handicapped (she relies on a walker due to some bad surgeries) and it is sooooo cold!! She refuses to go to anyone's house even though we have all offerred. She did get a small generator, but they worry me. She's being stubborn!! :furious:

DznyFan---so much for cleaning, huh?? At least you got to spend some quality time with Erin.
Oh, believe me----I used to love creme brulee---used to make it all of the time. I had a torch before they were popular (and cheap).....but...one time I got sick after eating some (just a fluke) and now I have a hard time choking it down. Sad, isn't it?? Just doesn't look so pretty coming up the other way. gross. I'm sure I wouldn't have a problem with your chocolate creme brulee, though. :smooth:

April---I would get so confused with the whole splitting/sharing/saving credits. The reason I can see this is because if you are not hungry, there is alot of food!!! But, in my opinion, somewhere the credits just get wasted because of lack of time. I don't know. :confused3
The lobster bisque sounds really good too!!!! I'm not sure why I chose "at the last second" the scallop, but is was delightful. I think next time I would do the filet. One of the reasons I didn't is because we had alot of steaks----Shula's, LeCellier and Artist Point. (btw---Artist Point at WL is DEFINITELY worth 2TS, IMO)
Have Steven read about the grouper----it just didn't impress me because it was bland. The breading was pretty light, which was good, and of course, grouper is a mild fish, so I thought the sauce would have more taste to it. It wasn't bad----just bland to me. See what the other dining reviews say----maybe it was just me.

Well ya'll I've got to get ready for bed even though I'm not really tired but DH and I are taking a road trip to North Carolina :woohoo: tomorrow and we have to leave around 7am so that means I've got to be up by 6am on a Saturday. I'll have to keep reading on my new found Restaurant boards tomorrow. It's funny that I've been here for quite a few years but there are only a few boards I really venture on to. Amazing what you learn on the Dis! :thumbsup2 :disrocks: It's a pretty cool board!

Thanks 2x2s, we must have been posting at the same time.

I agree about the saving/sharing thing. Probably too confusing. I think I'll just stick to the plan we've made. Especially since Steven took such a big part in it this time.

Well, goodnight all I have an early day tomorrow! Talk to you all tomorrow night. :wave2:
