Hi everyone!

2X- :grouphug: I hope your grandma gets better really soon.

Lyzziesmom- I just hate it when stores are sold out of the things you want!

April- It's so nice to have you back!

I didn't do much today, I went to the movies and saw "Bobby". It was really good. Then I watched the Luke and Laura special on Soapnet.

That was about it!

April, so sorry to hear about all the drama involved in your move! I can somewhat relate: my ex-husband was a hardcore alcoholic. You know how some people need their cup of coffee to get going in the morning? He could not go to work in the morning without having his bottle of rum first. Yes, I said bottle. And that would be only the first one of the day. He would go between being the sweetest nicest-seeming person to being a verbally abusive, controlling scary guy at a moment's notice, and I never knew which version of him I would be dealing with. Lyzzie's dad is an alcoholic too, but not quite to the same extent. He would just drink too much and get depressed and not remember any of it the next day. The funny thing is, my DBF now is not much of a drinker at all and sometimes I hear him tell ME the same things I used to tell my exes... like tonight at dinner he said something when I had one daquiri before my meal!! Sheesh. Anyway, I'm glad you are finally getting settled in and taking your reward trip, it sounds like you really need it!! So glad to hear you'll still be coming to the Cliqueless Convention, too!

2x, by all means, go visit your grandma. Wear a mask & use lots of Purell!! It sounds like she is having a very rough time, my thoughts are with you both.

I'm sure there is more I was going to say, but my eyes are full of sand and my brain feels like jello, so it's off to bed for me. One of these nights I will learn to sleep the whole night through, just not this one.

Good Morning Cliqueless Family!!
poly11.jpg

I'm running out the door to do some shopping so I don't have time to prepare a big meal. I did however put the coffee on for us! :rotfl: Step up to the Kona Cafe and grab yourself some Tonga toast and a Kona Blend Coffee on me!! My treat. . .

:grouphug: Exactly! You know exactly what I go through. Thanks for understanding because sometimes I just :sad2: shake my head and wonder? "Do other people have to deal with this?" And I know all too well sappy, sad drunk. Crying and depressed (in his case about how his children have all grown up and he doesn't know them) and then the next day not remembering it. Meanwhile, you've been put through the ringer because you DO remember it! Every last word, every last empty promise, every accusation of blame. . . It's a joy, joy, joy. No wonder I go to Al-Anon meetings.

Nicole:: I saw that Luke and Laura special being advertised. Dagonit, I missed it. :guilty: I record the old reruns of Ryan's Hope on SoapNet and watch them.

I'm going to brave out into the wild today and try and go shopping. I'm from Delaware (not originally but for the last 9 years) home of tax-free shopping and it's been hard getting used to the taxes again. Well, South Carolina has two days of tax-free shopping on anything you buy including cars yesterday and today so I want to go take advantage of it. Those pesky taxes really add up.

I've still not decided if I want to go down a day or two early but I really need to get on the ball. See, I want to go to MVMCP but they only have them Tuesday and Thursday and Friday when I'm there and I think Tuesday would be the best day (crowd wise) but it'd be too hard to get off a plain and go right to the party. Don't know what I'm going to do yet but I will be hashing it over w/ DH today.

Have a great day everybody! :wave2:

Good morning all!!!

April-----OMG girlie!!!! I'm so sorry you had to go through such a rough time with your move!!! I don't have any words of wisdom for you, as I luckily have never had to deal with alcoholism in the family, but my heart goes out to you!!! Keep going to your meetings so you know you're not the only one who has to deal with it. They are of great support to you. And, of course, you always have us!! :listen: :listen:

Here's my opinion on your Christmas trip-----if you and Steven can do it with the budget and not starting your jobs yet-----go for it. This is supposed to be your reward trip so why cut it short and be rushed?? Take your time ----I'd much rather have too much time in WDW than not enough. JMO, though. :teeth:

I'm so glad you are still considering the Convention!!! Talk to Linda about somewhat of an itinerary. So far the plans are LeCellier on Friday night and 'Ohana on Saturday night. We plan to do Kona for breakfast, but it hasn't been decided on Sat. or Sun. morning. Linda, Mike and Kenny are leaving Sunday for the cruise.

Lyzziesmom----hugs for you too for what you dealt with in Emma's dad. Really sad!!!
How was your date last night??

Funny story----I had the strangest dream last night. I dreamed that one of my clients knew you. I don't remember how the subject came up, but I remember saying to her, "you know Lyzziesmom, too??" :lmao:

Nicole---I never watched the Luke and Laura soap, but I remember when I was growing up their wedding was all the rage. I was more of a Days of Our Lives girl.
I heard "Bobby" was a really good movie. I'll have to put that on my list.

Hi to everyone----I need to go see what some ruckus is----either birds or squirrels----sounds like Wild Kingdom right now. Oh great---another thing to deal with. I'm scared---please, please, please don't let them be in the attic.

eta=thanks for the Kona breakfast, April. I'm sure Miss Donna appreciates the chance to sleep in on the weekends. ;)

Good morning Crew!!!

April:: Thanks for that delicious breakfast!! There's nothing like starting your day at the Kona Cafe!!! (Hey, that rhymes!! I'm sooo clever!) :teeth: I'm still enjoying the coffee, too!!
:grouphug: Hugs to you and what you went through growing up and what you are dealing with now. I went through the drinking problems with my dad as a teenager and my younger adult years. It can be devastaing to a family and leave memories that are not that great, to say the least.
Yeah!!! I was hoping you would be able to make it in Feb!!! :woohoo:

2x2s:: Sorry to hear your Grandmother is not doing well. I think you should go see her for just a little bit, at least.
I thought I was the only one working yesterday!!! :teeth: I'm sure it was a pretty busy day for you. I think we decided to just close next year. There weren't too many out picking up their cleaning yesterday. :rolleyes1 :confused3 :rotfl2: :lmao: :moped:

I went to the Hallmark store yesterday and they had BOGOF boxed Christmas cards!! I, of course, bought 2 boxes!!! :woohoo: :grouphug: I finally found the Disney cards at Dollar General, but I like the cards from Hallmark better......When You Care Enough To Send The Very Best!!!! :goodvibes

Does anyone remember; are the ADR's set for LeCellier? I was making a rough draft the other night, but couldn't find the info? Just wondering.

Talk to you all later!! Have a Super Saturday!!!

Here is the daily WDW repoart from your newswoman, Ms. Informed!! :teeth:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Angela had an early breakfast today!! Hope they are having a good time!!

Hi Donna
aka Ms. Informed (too funny!!)
aka Betty

geesh, you're getting as many nicknames as I am!!! :teeth:

Yes, I do believe LeCellier is set, but I'm not sure what time. We'll have to ask Linda.

I wanted to post really fast to April------we are doing a Cliqueless Christmas card exchange if you are interested. Ashley (hellokitty86) was sweet enough to gather all of our info and e-mailed them to us. Get in touch with her if you are interested in adding yourself to the list.

okay, I'm off. I am getting ready to head to the hospital. I just spoke with my dad and he said she is alert but not eating. She says she's "stuffed". :sad2:

/
Thanks for the breakfast April! :grouphug: Hugs for dealing with your dad.

:grouphug: Hugs for you too Lyzziesmom, for dealing with Emma and Lyzzie's dads.

2X- That's too funny about your dream!

April, sounds like your move sucked!! I'm so sorry. It sounds to me like you have earned the trip to WDW next month. As long as you guys can swing it, I would go without a moments hesitation.

I got the best deal last night. If you all remember Blake is leaving for Australia tomorrow. He told me last night that he needed a new suitcase, the one he was using, the wheels were starting to go. So we headed to Kohl's. We're looking around, most everything was on sale. I see this one set, off by itself. No sign for it...reg $119. So I take it to the price check machine...it was a set of 5 pcs on clearance for $17.99. Yep 18 bucks for a SET of luggage!!! :cool1: Now it's a name I've never heard of, and it's a med grey which means it is going to show dirt easily, BUT for 18 bucks, no problem!! When we were checking out, the girl wanted to know if there were anymore back there cause she was due for her break! Nope, I looked. If there were anymore I would have gotten them myself. For that price I would have stored them away in the attic.

It hasn't been bad here, weather wise. It's been in the 50's most of the week. Blake and Nick are playing tennis right now. Matt has a basketball scrimmage this afternoon. They are playing the JV team that his cousin is on. Which means Blake's sister will be there. Better pick out the right outfit and start putting my makeup on now :stir:

2x2... pixiedust: for your Gramma!!

Hi to all my cliqueless friends!

I'm not caught up on all my reading but we are about ready to head home. We are breaking the trip up into 2 days.

Donna...are you are going to be at Applebee's today. I might just stop by and start calling for Donna....well maybe I better call for DonnaLeah...or Betty? :rotfl:

Hope everyone is doing ok...I'll catch up with everyone Sunday night. :Pinkbounc :wave2:

:grouphug: :flower3: Hugs for 2xcited and her Grandma...hope she turns the corner soon and starts to eat.

Hello everyone!! :wave2:

We went to the mall today and tried to get Ruby groomed but didn't have her Rabies vaccination papers. :badpc:

If anybody else wants to join the Christmas Card exchange (bolding cause I want to make sure everyone sees it!)- PM me with your address and email address and I'll update the list and re-send it to everyone.

DizzKneeGeek- you're welcome here!! I remember reading that thread about the person who was talking about how tattooed people are trashy. I love how you have that in your sig :teeth:

Linda:: That's actually pretty funny about what Kenny told your SIL!!! Nathan was never very big on babies either. I guess they don't do very much that would interest a young boy!
I thought so  I asked him if he was going to play w/his little cousin Bradley...he'll be 3 in Jan. He says..."I'll think about it"... :teeth:

YourMajesty said:
Linda...too funny about Kenny. My oldest is that way too. He's so much better now...he's nine. My youngest was born when he was 2 1/2 and he wouldn't come near him. I have picture of him with my youngest on his lap and my oldest had his hand up in the the air...like you can prop him up but I'm still not touching him.
:rotfl: that is too cute! That is how Kenny would be too...but I'm sure they're buds now. At least when they want someone to play with;)
whoo hoo..enjoy the pedicure! That sounds so great!

MI mom of 3 said:
all my kids are supposed to be here.

Linda, I love the story about Kenny and the baby. Matt had no interest in babies when he was little. He would just ignore them. He was completely different with Nick. It was like he knew right away that he was here to stay. Blake's sister's youngest is 4 and is a holy terror!! His cousin and I both looked at our husbands and thanked them for getting 'fixed' Not going there again, thanks.
Michele...I'm sure it would be different not having them all there with you! Too bad you really did have to get a headache....that would be my luck too. That is too cute about Matt, he knew he might as well get use to Nick being around;) I only have Kenny...he's well behaved and we're STILL not going there again either :teeth: $18 luggage set :woohoo: THAT is awesome!

lyzziesmom said:
Linda, that's funny about Kenny & the baby. Lyzzie was so excited about having a baby sister, but then once Emma was here, Lyzzie kept saying, "She's boring. Doesn't she DO anything?"
awwww... I'm sure Lyzzie has her moments where she loves having a baby sister...and other times she wishes she were an only child... my sister is 4 1/2 years older than me...she'd steal my bottles when I was a baby... she jumped on my stomach when no one was around....SHE wanted to be the only child!!!Too cute...boats and airplanes for breakfast...way to go Emma!!

Ashley...way to go on getting what you wanted shopping yesterday! That is awesome. I've seen those warnings on several things they sell on the disney site too :confused3 a few of the lamps I've gotten....
Good sheets are a must :thumbsup2

Lesa... It doesn't sound like you'll be wanting turkey for another year!!! Wow, that is a LOT of turkey. That is too bad w/your mom calling. Sounds like what my mom would try  Good luck :grouphug: You're right...that would have been hilarious if Michele asked her if she'd gained some weight... or if she were pregnant :rotfl: I just saw another post saying...42 lbs of turkey...that is more turkey than Kenny weighs :rotfl: he's only 34#...sorry :rolleyes1

2x :grouphug: sorry you couldn't make it on the cruise this time... lots of prayers for your grandma :guilty: I know what you mean...I'd wanna go see her too!

April :grouphug: glad you got moved...so sorry you had such a rough time. I can relate, not w/alcohol...but my father has paranoid schizophrenia. I could tell ya some really bad and really crazy stories. He wrote a book and I'm scared to death to read it!! I think there is a lot in there I'd rather not know!!

so far we have Le Cellier for 4pm Friday and Sat Ohana @ 7:15...
Donna, I knew you didn't get in til later Fri. and I've been calling to see what is available later... there is an 8pm if you want to try for that. I didn't want to leave you out...or make you feel rushed to get there...which ever you prefer, I'm sure is good w/us.

welcome here dizzkneegeek!

well yesterday I didn't dare leave the house to go shopping...we took the entire day to decorate for Christmas! My sister called me saying her and a friend were going to best buy at 1AM to get laptops...and they didn't even end up getting them :lmao: yeah...that sounds worth it!!! I don't like crowds  people get rude and nasty...we'll just stay here and decorate!

Donna I'll pm you w/the times and adr #'s if you want to change anything, just let me know.

April if you want me to call and add you to the adr's just let me know. I'm sure it will be no problem at all.

Have a great evening everybody!

I'm sure you've all seen the dancing santas....

Kenny had to show off and mock the dancing santa that shakes his booty....

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:wave2: Hi, guys!

I just kind of skimmed the past few pages of posts - I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving - it looks like ya'll did.

2X - prayers for your grandma, dear. :grouphug:

Lesa - 42 lbs of turkey????

April - its good to have you back here! Sorry your move was such a challenge. But - the good news is you're there and settling in! It's hard having a parent that is an alcoholic. My mother was, and my nephews' father (my ex BIL) is. It's just not an easy situation to have to deal with.

Pozey - hope you're feeling better, sorry to hear you were under the weather for Thanksgiving.

Hopefully Angela and Amber are having a lovely time at the World!!

YourMajesty - have a safe trip home!

I know I missed some of your posts, comments, and so on - like I said I just kind of skimmed to catch up.

Later for now~ it's good to be home.

Hi, everyone. :wave2: Hope you are all having a great weekend. Nathan is having a friend sleep over and DH has gone to race slot cars. My evening isn't very exciting, but they usually aren't!

OH, no Linda!! I didn't mean that at all!! I was just making notes of what had been planned so far, for no particular reason!!! I would hate to have things changed just for me. No big deal at all, really. :sunny:
I intended to get the tree up and the house decorated, but grocery shopped and cleaned instead. Maybe tomorrow afternoon will work out better.

YourMajesty:: No Applebee's for me today I'm afraid!!! Have a safe trip home.

Michele:: That's such a super deal on the luggage!!! And I thought my BOGOF cards at the Hallmark store was exciting.
Hope Matt's basketball scrimage went well...I'm sure you looked FABULOUS!!! :thumbsup2

So...what's everyone up to tonight???

I'm here. Allmost 8000 posts and no tag ferry let.

Linda:: I almost missed the "Booty Shaking"!!! Kenny's doing a terrific keeping up with good Ole St. Nick!!!!!  :woohoo: :woohoo:

Welcome back, DznyFan!!!! :wave2:

What's up with that anyway!!!! :welcome:

Aloha all!!!

Anyone care to join me at the Poly for a little post -Thanksgiving/pre -Christmas drinky poo?? Pull up a chair and have a Mai Tai----

spirit_of_aloha_mai_tai_fendrick.JPG

(would you believe I googled "mai tai" and this Poly image came up, so of course I had to choose this one)

I went to see my grandma today----as I expected, she is not doing well at all. My dad was there and he brought her a milkshake and burger from Steak-n-Shake (are these everywhere or just local??) because she loves them he is just trying to get her to eat something. Of course, she just shook her head "no". Her breathing is very labored. She did recognize me, telling the nurse that I am her grand-daughter and when I left she thanked me for coming---always the polite one, she is. sniff sniff.
I just don't know what to say about this one, so I will leave it at that.
Oh, she did tell me that she is worried about my grandpa because he is so worried about her. another sniff.
Now I will move on.....

Donna---I have to admit, I was surprised that you had the cleaners opened yesterday. I'm assuming by your debate about next year that you were not busy??

Michele----great deal on the luggage!!!!! I never go to Kohl's----I have no idea why-----I think I'll have to check it out. I have one suitcase and one I always borrow, but I'm thinking I need to just purchase a bigger one to get all of my "stuff" in. :teeth:
Safe travels to Blake. How long will he be in Australia?? That would have been nice if you were able to go with him. Australia is somewhere I'd love to go someday.

How do you know who frosted and ho'ed you?? Sorry, that sounds really nasty. I just get the PM from the original poster, hmmm.

:3dglasses (no reason---he looked lonely)

YM---be careful on your journey back home, girlie!!!!
:teeth: :teeth:
Luv, your mid-western accented friend, Wilma. :teeth:

Ash---too bad about Ruby's grooming. How often do you get her groomed?? I saw the cutest Pug calendar a couple of weeks ago at Borders. I thought of you----just forgot to tell you, but that's not unusual for me----to forget.

Linda---I'm kind of with you----leave Black Friday to the other people. Turn on some holiday tunes and decorate. I have to admit, though, I hear Christmas music right now and just can't get into it. Could be that it is tropically 70 degrees in St. Louis, though. I passed Ted Drewes tonight----a very well know frozen custard stand that sells Christmas trees during season. I don't know which area was more crowded---the trees or the custard. :rotfl2:
1am at Best Buy?? Craziness!!!!
