What's up with that anyway!!!! :welcome:

I think he LOVES the attention! He loves trying to make us laugh....
no problem w/the notes I have..I know we'd talked about what time you'd get in and I just didn't want to leave you out...or make you feel rushed trying to get checked in and to the park either...whatever you feel comfortable with.

2x...a drink sounds great!!Its been so busy here the last 2 days.
So sorry about your grandma :grouphug:
70 degrees sure does sound great! I can't help but keep thinking... Christmas..then our Feb. trip  :cheer2:

boy that picture sure does look good!!!

on the frosting and ho pm's I wonder if you hit reply it will show who they came from? :confused3 that might work?... but its just a guess :rolleyes1

Linda----just saw the pic of Kenny!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Too darn cute!!!! (although I had to strain my eyes to see it, girlfriend-j/k)

DznyFan----welcome home!!! How did your Thanksgiving in seclusion go?? I'm sure it was lovely.
Definitely try to post pics of your wreath.

Hi Donna----I had to try to figure out what BOGOF was-----don't mind me. :teeth:
Boring evening, huh?? Me too, kind of. I was going to stop and get a movie for later on, but just didn't feel like that either. Oh well.

I forgot to mention that my mom gave me my annual Christmas ornament ----it's the Hallmark POTC-----Capt. Jack dangling the bone to the doggie through the jail cell. It plays "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me"----- pirate: pirate: pirate: .

am I going to have to start some bad habits up again??

hmmmm, what shall I talk about??

seriously, though-----I just noticed my on again/off again tickers-------2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (one week doesn't count)

Here's my opinion on your Christmas trip-----if you and Steven can do it with the budget and not starting your jobs yet-----go for it. This is supposed to be your reward trip so why cut it short and be rushed?? Take your time ----I'd much rather have too much time in WDW than not enough. JMO, though. :teeth:

I'm so glad you are still considering the Convention!!! Talk to Linda about somewhat of an itinerary. So far the plans are LeCellier on Friday night and 'Ohana on Saturday night. We plan to do Kona for breakfast, but it hasn't been decided on Sat. or Sun. morning. Linda, Mike and Kenny are leaving Sunday for the cruise.
Thanks for the advice/opinion. Keep 'em comin' people. :teeth: I think I'd like to go down two days sooner. Like December 10th, I think. Now, where to stay? I really REALLY have always wanted to stay at the Poly
hula1.gif
ever since I was a wee little one but for two nights at the Poly the price tag is $549 for the two nights. So, my reasonable side kicks in and I think this price is just crazy. It's like I've always wanted to stay there but not that bad (I guess). For two nights at Carribean Beach it would be $222.76 and for two nights at Pop (our old standby) it would be $159.76. Oh, decisions decisions. So, I gone to send this post out there so I can get some of your thoughts. . . and I'll keep posting in another post but I want to see what some of your thoughts are if you don't mind. :teeth:

Thanks bunches for the Mai Tai, 2x2s!!! It's just what I needed tonight!! Nathan's having a friend sleep over, remember!! :teeth:
Sorry to hear your grandmother isn't doing well. :grouphug:
I think Steak n Shakes are all over. We have one here and I've seen them all over.
No, we weren't very busy yesterday. After the morning work was done we took turns doing our shopping!! :rolleyes1

I think I'll have another drink. Is it getting hot in here, or is just me.
Shucks...I just spent 10 minutes looking for a hot flash smiley and can't find one!!! :badpc: :badpc: :furious:

:rolleyes1 yeah... a little dark...sorry :teeth:

POTC ornament :woohoo: I bet that is adorable!!! I'll have to find that one. I buy a ton of the Hallmark ornaments...usually when they're 50% off;) I always let Kenny pick one out and I bet he'd love that :cool1: he's really into the whole pirate thing pirate: we went to the Disney store today and he was trying to talk me into some poc stuff.... but I was good... I didn't buy a single thing.... oops...I was gonna get some disney dollars for our trip :rolleyes1 blonde moment...oh well, we'll be back down there before Feb. anyway!

dznyfan...I can't wait to see some pix!! I'll have to take some of our holiday disney stuff...I've got a 6' big mickey outside right now...he's so adorable :cloud9: one of those w/a blower inside it... Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving away.

April...are you talking about the Feb. trip...or another one? I remember Lyzziesmom was looking for a room mate... and we're all staying at pofq...but if its your upcoming trip...I'd say POP or CBR, personally...I'm definitely not a resort snob... I just want to be there..having a good time! The more I can save on the resort, the more I can spend on souvies to take home :teeth:

ok...sorry April...just read that you're talking about the Dec trip :rolleyes1 ... I'd still say pop or cbr.

Whoa, where did all these posts come from? I started posting and when I came back "Sha-Zam!" :rotfl: Great minds think alike and we all were posting together.

2x2s:: Sure hope your Grandmom is doing better. I've been thinking about you and she today. :grouphug: Praying she starts making a full recovery.

Michele:: What a FABU!!! deal on the luggage!! I love when I get those kind of deals. It's almost euphoric!! I'm with you, even if it shows dirt or breaks even for $18 bucks who can knock it!! Way to go!! Have a safe trip, Blake! :wave2:

DizzKneeGeek and Princess Fontaine:: :welcome: Stop by our group anytime. We welcome everybody!!

:grouphug: to you Linda. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for sharing some of your story with me. :goodvibes It can be rough. I REALLY am ready to start decorating my new little house. :santa: 6 trees? That's awesome!! Christmas is my most favorite time of the year!! That's why I got married in December so that I could have a Christmas wedding.
You go Kenny! "Shake it baby, don't break it!" :teeth:

Hey DznyFan!! :wave2: Welcome home!

:welcome: byoung!

2x2s:: I'll take a Mai Tai from the Poly. Thanks for asking! Wish I had one for real. By all means, 2x2s, you've GOT to try Kohl's. I was just saying to DH today (when I was getting frustrated trying to find some tops) "We just need to go to Kohl's." Definately try it. :thumbsup2
I bought myself the POTC ornament and one for a Christmas present. Isn't it great?? :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Now if I could just get my tree up! :scratchin Come on DH!!

I went to the Hallmark store yesterday and they had BOGOF boxed Christmas cards!! I, of course, bought 2 boxes!!! :woohoo: :grouphug: I finally found the Disney cards at Dollar General, but I like the cards from Hallmark better......When You Care Enough To Send The Very Best!!!! :goodvibes
:woohoo: I got this deal too. I'm ready for our Christmas Card exchange! Gotta' love those BOGOF!!

Yea, I agree. It'll be either one of the moderates or Pop. Any of the moderates highly recommended?

Well, April, since you asked.... :rolleyes1 If it were me I would probably do Pop or Caribbean Beach. Maybe save the Poly for a future date when your jobs are more established? But that's just my opinion. Definitely go down earlier and enjoy MVMCP!!!

no problem April :grouphug: :grouphug:

sorry, can't help on the moderates yet. My boss loves them all but I've never stayed at one yet... I've only stayed at WL and POP on property...SO FAR!!

Sorry...gotta turn in...Mike already turned in and last time ... it was only 10 minutes and he was already snoring :rolleyes1 oops!!

So much to respond to, such bad memory!! So here goes:

April: I always want to stay at a nicer resort, and the sticker shock gets to me and I end up cheaping out and loving it, but wishing I'd splurged. If you can afford it, maybe go for the mod? Just a thought. Either way, you'll have fun & that's what counts. My roommate offer is still open for Feb, if that helps. PM me if interested - basically I'd just want 1/2 the room cost (I'll have to do the math again since I got the package) & you'd of course get your own tickets.

2x: best wishes for Grandma. I'm envious of your Jack ornament, sounds great! And thanks for the drink - spent another whole day w/the family & definitely need it!!

Linda: Kenny is too cute! Emma also loves to get a laugh & is quite good at it. Lately she likes cameras & I have many pictures like this one:
2006NovemberPictures026.jpg

WELCOME to byoung & DizzKneeGeek (love the name!). I too remember the tattooed=trashy thread, thought you handled it beautifully. I am obviously trashy & broke as well, and let's not forget that I'm a horribly irresponsible parent because I put my child on a *gasp!* leash!!

Ashley: we saw a pug yesterday in the car next to us at Circuit City. The first thing I thought was, "Not as cute as Ruby!" Good thing it wasn't hot outside, because the poor dear was left in the car w/all windows rolled up for god knows how long - did I mention the line was insane? The dog also had only one eye which gave it a very piratey look.

Steak & Shakes are pretty much everywhere, although I do not recall seeing any when I lived in FL. Doesn't mean they don't have 'em though. I keep meaning to take Lyzzie; she'd hate the steak part but love the shakes.

We played a new (to us) game at my parents' house today, it was Whoonu by Cranium. We love the Cranium games, they are so original! Now my family is not much for games, but I think we played about 8 rounds, it was really fun!! It's pretty quick too, which is nice because sometimes you only have 10 minutes to kill.

I know there was more I meant to say, but I can't think of it right now. My back is killing me again, I think I'll see if my DVR caught anything good & then call it a night.

Hi, lyzziesmom!! Love the close-up of Emma!!!

That's what I've been forgetting to tell everyone......I got my Disney tickets for Feb. in the mail!!!! :woohoo: DH and I were going through all the junk mail and he told me I had a card in one of them. (I thought it was a credit card thingy.) When I opened it up there were the park hopper and the Pirate and Princess Party ticket!!!! It almost got thrown away!!! That was a close one!! :faint: :scared: :crazy2:

That's what I just said to myself after my post!! We are a busy crew tonight. I love Xmas too, it's my favorite time of year. However, for some reason I can't find the time or energy to decorate yet this year. I hope to get to the tree trimming tomorrow (say that 5 times fast!) I must admit, I had Xmas songs on the radio today & got a little misty.

Stop me if I told you guys this already.... when I mentioned at the new job that I'd need a few days off in Feb, I stretched the truth a wee bit and said I had a reunion to attend. In a way, it really is a reunion, albeit with friends I have yet to meet face to face.

AWESOME deal on the luggage!! I snagged myself a few good deals today, including a b-day gift for my mom (her b-day was today) at half price. She hates me to spend money on her, so she was looking for a clearance sticker on it!! I finally had to tell her it was part of the 2-day sale, or else she would have given it back.

That reminds me... I still have to buy my P&P ticket. Did you not buy the package?? I have always gotten a package & never received tickets in the mail, they are always put on my room key card when I get there. I wonder if they do that for the party too? I have never done a hard-ticket event, I'm really looking forward to it!!

Sorry chickies---

ran over to People Mag. sight to see what was up----I can't tell you the last time I even picked up a magazine, even in the market check out line. Well, anyway, saw that Tom and Katie danced their first dance to Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird". I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank Tom and Katie for ruining this song for me. :teeth:

Anyway----April----tough call on the Poly. I am a bit of a hotel snob (I go for the deluxe if I can swing it), but I do agree with the others---maybe mod. is the way to go for these two nights. I haven't stayed at the Poly since I was a little girl, but I do remember loving it-----however, that was when it was $39 per night according to my mother. It's a bit more pricey now, eh??
I've only stayed at PO when it was Dixie Landings, I think----can't remember---and it was only one night. I do have a friend who stays at CBR every time and LOVES it. She and her DH love the pool and hammocks, etc. I hear it is pretty spread out, but very relaxing.

Lyzziesmom----in a very interesting way----that is a beautiful picture of Emma----very artsy. Did she take this herself?? Maybe a future photographer??
Your game sounds fun. I love games like this but very rarely get to play them. I need to get a "game night" going.
Hope your back feels better---get off of your feet and get some rest. How is the med weaning going??

Donna--don't you know when an official WDW envelope comes in the mail, you are supposed to "HANDLE WITH CARE"?? :teeth: :teeth:
You got your park hoppers in the mail??

I didn't get the package, just room only.
When I got the tickets, Nathan had to rush over to show them to DMIL!! I just about died because the cost of the ticket is on the back of each one!! I hope she didn't see it!! :teeth:

Think I'm gonna' get comfy on the couch for the night. This barstool is starting to kill me!!!
Have a good night everyone!!! :cloud9:

Hey shmoopy---

When we went to MNSSHP, they did send the hard ticket through the mail. It looks like a credit card. I didn't realize this until we were on the monorail on the way over to MK for the party when my mom distributed the tickets (they were mailed to her house, even though I paid for them----makes sense, right?? good thing it wasn't a surprise). Anyway, they had different motiffs on them and of course I took the one with Cinderella and her Prince--as opposed to Cars----just in case I get an urge to scrapbook, which I've never done in my life. (I know, I know)

Ooh, close call----is Nathan handling the convention okay??

Night Donna---I think I may turn in myself---although I'm not sitting on a barstool.

I think I'm gonna' have a break down people. :faint:

I'm trying to find a great deal on the rental car. I've given up on the Poly idea. Stinkin' rational side.

Steven has informed me he wants to do the Segway tour. I don't even know if I have time to schedule one. Those things are probably booked months in advance.

Too. . . much. . . pressure :faint:
