APRIL!!!! We missed you darlin!!! So nice to see you again!! That's awful that they make you jump thru so many hoops just to get your license. What a pain in the patootie. But the move went well otherwise? Are you getting all settled in? Do you love your cute little new house?? I hope you are feeling better, seems like everyone's getting sick this time of this year.

Happy (almost) Turkey Day, gobblegobble!!

HIYA, APRIL!!! Glad to hear from you Dearie!!! Please try to stay in touch. Don't worry, soon you will have your birth certificate and driver's license, then you'll be all set!!! :thumbsup2

pozey:: Sorry your not feeling so hot. Hope you get to feeling better for Turkey Day!! That's too bad about your SIL's neighbor. Always sad, especially this time of year.

Angela:: Just think, you'll be on your way to WDW in 2 days!!! :woohoo: I think trying to pack for the weather this time of year can be pretty crazy!! At least when we go in July I pretty much know it's gonna be HOT!!!
Sorry to hear about DH's commission. We usually only do about one TS per trip. We are always on the go and if we decide on a nice dinner it's usually offsite.

Nicole:: I thought the same thing about Ice Age II. I really didn't pay that much attentin to it, but definitely liked the first one better.

Amber:: I know you are on your way to WDW, but wanted to tell you GOODBYE!!!! :wave2:

lyzziesmom::: YAY!! You got to go home early today AND have lunch/dinner with DBF!!!

Lin::Your pies sound DELICIOUS!!!! Yummy!! My mouth is watering for pumpkin pie...I can't wait!!

2x2s:: You are probably cooking up a storm by now, but I wanted to say "Hi" and have a nice Thanksgiving.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!!

April,
so glad to hear from you. I'm glad you are adjusting to your new home. Sorry about the driver's license. Doesn't red tape just make your head spin!! :confused3 That stinks that you got sick so soon after arriving. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving!!

I got a lot of shopping done today and did most of it online!! I did go to the mall twice but that was just for basketball shoes for Matt. They are ordering team shoes for games but he needed practice shoes. I let Blake take him a couple of weeks ago for those. Well Matt will tell you they fit even if they don't if he likes the way they look  He's been like this since he was little. I have gotten good at checking them and making him walk around, plus crazy me...I make him try them both on. He'll put one shoe on, not tie it and annouce it's great! Well the ones Blake bought him were giving him terrible blisters. Of course it took him days and days to admit this to us. So we had to go back today to get new ones. His other ones have only been worn on the court and they his best friend so guess who gets a new pair of shoes!!

Lesa, did you find someone to take that turkey off your hands? I can't believe you bought 2 - 20 pound turkeys??? How many people did you think you were having for dinner? You will still be eating turkey when we leave for WDW in Feb!!! :rotfl2: I miss my Nick!!!! He barely wanted to talk to me today when I called!! He was too busy playing with Gracie!!

We are going to Blake's sister's house tomorrow for dinner. We have never had Thanksgiving dinner with his family and his sister has never cooked it before...this should be interesting. After dinner we are going bowling! Kim, Blake's sister, and Scott his brother are both bartenders at the bowling alley. Kim was supposed to work tomorrow night, but Scott offered to cover for her, so to keep him included, after dinner we are going up their. Well it will be different and we it will make leaving easier.

I was talking my other sister-in-law tonight and she mentioned that she had put her new license tabs on...OOPS!!!! The car Briana drives is in my name, which means the tabs on it expired last week!!! I hope the Sec of State office is open on Friday!!! I'm so glad she said something. I would hate for Bree to get a ticket!

Have a lovely Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

just had my usual long post and lost it-----the WHOLE thing.

Hi to all~~~~ princess:

HI APRIL!!!!!!!!!!
Missed ya, hon!!!!! Congrats on your move and feel better!!! Don't worry, you'll get everything straightened out---just might take some time.

Hi to my cliqueless friends

We made it to Bowling Green! :woohoo: Had on scare on the highway. We were about five minutes from our stop for the evening last night near St Louis. About 4 cars were getting on the highway all in a row and one of them decided to change lanes without looking. :sad2: We were on a bridge and my DH swerved and honked and I just knew I was going to hear our paint scraping we were so close to the cement deviders... :faint:

Donna...did you hear us honk? I was about to settle in for a nap when my Dh told me we were at you exit. I saw your Target in O'fallion (sp?)...it looked very new by a new Holiday Inn Express...is that the one? Do you eat in Mt Veron sometimes...I saw an Applebee's there?

2xcited...can you believe we made it through St Louis without one bullet holes in the car? :rotfl2: ;) We weren't sure what exit you were at today so we had to honk at all the exits...you should have seen some of the hand gestures....JK ;) Have fun baking at 5:30am!

I didn't have a chance to completely catch up. Hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving. :goodvibes

Hi to April...I did see her on this page! Pozey and Linda...hope you are both feeling better (Linda...that counts too...at least at my house ;) )

We will be settled here for a few days so I catch up tomorrow :wave2:

I DID hear you honk!!!! I looked at my watch at 11:30am and thought you must be getting near!!! My Target has only been there for about 3-4 years. That area is building up really fast!!! I ate at the Applebee's in Mt. Vernon this past Sunday!!! Oh, you were so close!!!!

Good morning all!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well, I made about 800 cookies yesterday. :cool1: I am still a little sick from all the test tasting I did  But at least they're done and now I can start giving them away.

Pozey-- hope you're feeling better. Nithing worse than being sick on a holiday.

Gotta run. We're going over to my moms house today.

Happy Turkey Day to my precious Cliqueless Crew!!

2x, thanks so much for the pumpkin pie - the leaf on top is a nice touch. That reminds me... I must make my annual fall cookies! (sugar cookies in leaf shapes, frosted in fall colors). Don't you hate when you spend ALL DAY cooking and then it's all eaten, over & done with in such a short time? I always want to tell everyone, "Slow down! Don't you know how much work this meal was??"

I picked up a magazine full of cookie recipies the other day (little did I know it was $8.99!!) and now I want to make them all. I can totally relate to keagansmom... I always taste test so much that once the cookies are done, I don't even want any. Lyzzie wants to make ones called Full-Of-Chips cookies. They contain chocolate chips. peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, vanilla chips, M&Ms, AND Reece's Pieces! Yikes!! I think we might have to try them.

Betty and Wilma...I'm on dial-up :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Plus, my boys brought their gamecube and they don't have plug-ins on their tv....The flip side is we are eating off of china and using real silver to eat with. :teeth:

Happy Thanksgiving everybody :wave2:

keagansmom...800 cookies :faint: that sounds like A LOT of work!!! But...really tasty :cool1: !!!

April :wave2: how are you doing? Good and settled I hope. I know what you mean about the license and birth cert. issues :sad2: but... you can get a certified copy of your birth cert. very easily online. I've done that a few times when we've planned a cruise last minute and wanted a 2nd copy just in case... Good to hear from you!

ym...glad to hear you made it to Bowling Green ok. Glad your dh was able to dodge the bad drivers... and the dangerous St. Louis area :teeth: .. I know what you mean about trying to cook and dis :rolleyes1

pozey, hope you're feeling better... I feel much better now :rolleyes1 just ate too much

lyzziesmom...I agree we have to see a pix of the cookies... or maybe a copy of the recipe ::yes:: that sounds very good!

it was so funny...we were at Mikes brothers house...his neice is expecting and due on Christmas day... my sil was telling Kenny that next year he'll have a new little one to play with and he'll have to teach him the ropes... Kenny looks at her and tells her "that is Jenna's baby and SHE can teach him the ropes" :lmao: he just does NOT like babies... she asked him if he wanted to feel the baby moving...he looked at her like she was nuts  :rotfl: It was so funny!!!

Have a great Thanksgiving everybody!! Hi Donna, 2x, Michele, Lesa...2 20# turkeys...we'll be right up ;) ...Dznyfan, Amber, Ashley,Angela, Nicole...and anyone else I'm forgetting

Well, I'm back from my mother's house and now I'm the one that's stuffed!!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Linda:: That's actually pretty funny about what Kenny told your SIL!!! Nathan was never very big on babies either. I guess they don't do very much that would interest a young boy!

YourMajesty::I hope you finally got your stuffing together! ...and welcome to the Stoneage!! :teeth: Does your brother have kids? If there was no gaming connection on the TV my guess would be NO!! :lmao:

keagansmom:: Are you sending some of those cookies my way?? How long did it take you to bake 800 cookies and how may ovens do you have?

Angela:: In case I don't get to chat with you anymore... HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!! :moped: Tomorrow you will be landing in Orlando!!!
bombardier3.jpg

Better run, talk to you all later.

Hi everyone, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I am actually just starting to cook!! Last night we stayed up really late to watch a basketball game that didn't even start until 1:30 am so we stayed in our PJ's all day (actually, I'm still in mine!! :rolleyes1 ) and we napped all day.

I'm making a ham steak with brown sugar, homemade macaroni & cheese (in the oven now) mashed potatoes and corn. For dessert I made pretzel salad. It's a dessert that my Grandmother used to make for me and it sounds weird but it is DELICIOUS! It has crushed up pretzels as the crust, with kool whip, lots of sugar, strawberry jello and strawberries. yuuuum! I love the salty and sweet combo!!

I hope everyone had a nice day!!!

Hey Donna are you still there? :wave2: I'm sitll trying to catch my breath I'm so full! The stuffing was just ok...could have been so much better. My mom's is sooooo good. I'm glad she wasn't here to see how bad I butchered her recipe. :rolleyes1 She usues very little out of a box...bag...etc. Fresh bread (dried), fresh cornbread (dried), home dried sage, onions, etc... get the picture.

Of course my brother does not have kids. :teeth: :rotfl2: I will post you a picture of his dining room when I get home...it's lovely.

Linda...too funny about Kenny. My oldest is that way too. He's so much better now...he's nine. My youngest was born when he was 2 1/2 and he wouldn't come near him. I have picture of him with my youngest on his lap and my oldest had his hand up in the the air...like you can prop him up but I'm still not touching him. :rotfl:

Well, I'll be back on a little later hopefully we will have some more Thanksgiving reports! :dance3:

Catch ya'll later. :yay:

ETA: Hi Ashley...I just saw your post. Your dinner sounds yummy! I love homemade mac and cheese. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

This one was weird for me. Yes YM, Nick went to Illinois with my parents for Thanksgiving with David and Lesa and the gang. I don't like having my traditions messed with! Dinner is supposed to be at Mom's house, NOT Blake's sister's. And all my kids are supposed to be here.

Blake, Briana and Matt are at the bowling alley with his family. I pleaded headache and had him drop me off at home. I made some Jiffy-Pop popcorn and am sitting at the kitchen table DISing. His family is just strange! His sister asked me why I was so dressed up :confused3 I had on jeans and a black turtleneck...the SAME AS HER!!! :confused3 Then she informed me that I have been wearing much more make-up lately!! WTH!!! I am so done with her. The entire time I have known her she says things like that and everyone just smiles and says "oh, that's just Kim!" She's 40 years old..GROW UP!!! Oh and she is recently divorced, OK fine. Her boyfriend of 3 years was over for dinner, fine. Except she has only been divorced for 5 months. Anyone else have a problem with that math but me???

Linda, I love the story about Kenny and the baby. Matt had no interest in babies when he was little. He would just ignore them. He was completely different with Nick. It was like he knew right away that he was here to stay. Blake's sister's youngest is 4 and is a holy terror!! His cousin and I both looked at our husbands and thanked them for getting 'fixed' :rotfl2: Not going there again, thanks. :rolleyes1

Blake just called and some friends of ours are at the bowling alley and he wants me to join them. I haven't decided if my 'headache' is gone yet. :rolleyes1

Have a great night, and to those heading out shopping in the morning, GOOD LUCK!

Sounds like everyone had (is having) a lovely holiday. Ashley, your post reminded me: today my brother's girlfriend was saying how she just loves Thanksgiving dinner, it's her favorite meal of the year and she thinks it's funny how Thanksgiving is the only holiday that tells you what you have to eat. I said, not necessarily!! The only thing we didn't have leftover was my sweet potatoes, too bad because they are my favorite! But I think I'm the one who ate most of them in the first place.

I never did get around to cleaning my house, and my grandparents are coming to see it tomorrow! Oh well, Grandma raised 7 kids so she understands about having a little clutter. It really bugs my mom, but it doesn't bother me much. I'll do a quick straightening up in the morning after a run to Circuit City!

I checked all the ads today, but I didn't see the digital camera that I want to get. That's ok, I don't really need to spend the money anyway. But they do have a 1G memory card for $2.99 and a 1G flash drive for I think $3.99. I just can't pass that up, for that price I will bend my "no shopping" rule!!

Cute Emma story: this morning when I was getting the girls their cereal, Lyzzie said she wanted Honey Bunches of Oats. Emma came & told me, "Lyzzie wants Honey Boats! Emma wants Airplane Chex!" I guess if Lyzzie is having boats for breakfast, Emma wanted to have Airplanes? That kid is so funny!!

Linda, that's funny about Kenny & the baby. Lyzzie was so excited about having a baby sister, but then once Emma was here, Lyzzie kept saying, "She's boring. Doesn't she DO anything?"

Michele, I had a headache all day today too, only mine wasn't a "headache," it was real. And having 9 people in the house didn't help any. I know what you mean about the traditions. A few years back, we went to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving and it was just odd. Not as weird as when we went to my parent's friends' house one year when I was a teen, they served lasagna, spaghetti and assorted other Italian food alongside the turkey. There was enough to feed an army! I remember their dog had passed away the night before and everyone was very sad, and my parents kept trying to get me to "play" with their kids, who were younger than me and very snobby. It was awful! However, it was the first time I saw Toy Story, it had just come out on DVD and we all watched it after dinner, so the day wasn't a total bust. Wow, that was quite a trip down memory lane, I had no idea I'd be going there!

So who else is braving the shopping crowds tomorrow, and how early are you getting started?

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Linda- Kenny is so funny!

Hi April! :wave2:

Lyzziesmom- Emma is so cute!

Keagansmom- 800 cookies! Wow!

I don't think I will go shopping tomorrow. I think I'd go crazy in those crowds!
