Good morning Crew... and Happy Black Friday!!!! Lucky me, I get to work today. When I toasted to the short work week it wasn't for me, that's for sure!!

I ran to the bakery this morning to pick up some jelly donuts. I doubt that anyone is very hungry today! :teeth:

Well, I had a good day yesterday. DMIL has a cold and wasn't feeling well, so she didn't go to my mother's with us. We had turkey, stuffing, ham, cranberry salad, corn , peas, green beans, green bean casserole, potatoe casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy and dinner rolls. For dessert there was pumpkin and apple pies, and carrot cake. Yummm!!!

Ashley:: Your dinner sounds delicious!! I love homemade mac and cheese. I could never make it to taste like my mom's though.

Michele:: I hope you got over your "headache" and enjoyed the rest of your evening!! I did the math on your DSIL; I think I remember you saying before that she had a boyfriend several years before she was divorced. Doesn't she have kids? I can't remember the exact situation, but at least the day is over!!!

lyzziesmom:: Sounds like some really good deals on the memory card and flash drive!!! I guess we will let you shop for that....then quit!!! :teeth:
Too cute about Emma wanting Airplane chex!!! She's such a sweetie!

Nicole:: Your Thanksgiving dinner sounded yummy and a lot like mine!!! Skipping the shopping today is probably a smart move!! My Dsis and I used to go shopping on Black Friday about every year, back when I was young and adventurous(sp?).

YourMajesty:: I read your post where your brother is treating you to a pedicure. How nice is that!!! Enjoy your froo-froo time. When are you leaving KY. to head back to OK? Too bad we couldn't meet someplace for a quick lunch or something. Seems a shame for you to be so near to me without saying "Hi!" :guilty:

Well, better go for now and get ready for work. I hope everyone enjoys their day off, however you plan to spend it!!! BYE!! :wave2:

Hi everyone!

I just got back from shopping. :faint: We got to Target at 5:30 (they opened at 6) and the line was soooo long! But we got lucky, we got everything we wanted!!! (and some unexpected things!!) We also went to Old Navy and I got a new pair of jeans because my normal wear around the house ones were literally falling off me! And surprisingly I did ok shopping- at the end I started feeling a little bit panicky with everyone crowding around me, but everything else was ok.

We got the tv we wanted- (we're going to move the one from the living room into our bedroom now) I got some new pajamas (3 sets) that were way cheap, a new microwave (wasn't planning on that one), a Christmas tree (my first fake one, kind of sad about that!!) and the thing I'm most excited about- I was walking by and saw 800 thread count sheets for $19.99! I am a thread count snob and try to buy as high as I can but if you get too high they have to be dry cleaned (I have absolutely NO interest in sheets that need to be dry cleaned!!) so I'll be sleeping good tonight after they are washed :cloud9:

I'm actually nervous about the Christmas tree- I was just reading the box (haven't put it up yet) and it says on it "WARNING, Handling the plastic used in this product exposes you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use." :bitelip: Now- do they mean the plastic that the tree is WRAPPED up in or the tree itself??!! Ofcourse I'll wash my hands after I touch the tree but I'm alittle concerned with Ruby chewing on the tree when we aren't looking and getting lead poisoning or something! Anybody have any insight on this? If thats the case (its the stuff that the tree is made of) I'll just return it.

Good Morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna!

Wow Ashley, that's great you got everything you wanted! I thought about going shopping this morning, because the mall where my sister works was empty! But then I though about later this afternoon, it probably would be packed! Walmart did have a camera I wanted for $90. But I sooo don't want to go there now!!! I'm sure it's utter chaos!

Have a great day everyone!

Just thought I peak in and say hi. I haven't read all the missed posts so I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Dinner was a bit crazy around here. I have never bought a whole turkey before, so I went by look, not by size. :confused3 1 turkey did not look like nearly enough for 14 people so I bought 2. DFIL asked me how many lbs they were so when dh went to add up the poundage (dsil also brought a turkey breast) we had 42 lbs of turkey. :lmao: We have a whole turkey and turkey breast and half the other turkey left. We could have just used the turkey breast and still had some left over. :lmao: Can you say....Turkey stew, turkey chili, turkey tetrazini, turkey soup, turkey hash, turkey pot pie....you get the idea! :lmao:

I don't know if I have mentioned before, but my mom and I, actually my whole immediate family had a falling out back in July and I have not spoken to anyone but my father (and that has been just a few times). Well my mom has been calling, but some how her message has gotten lost on the machine :rolleyes1 well this morning she was sneaky and used my father's phone to call me and ask me what the kids wanted for Christmas. Now she is going to think that everything is Okey dokey between us. :sad2:

Ashley....When we bought our tree last year it said the same thing on the box. I have also seen the same thing on other products. I can't tell you how safe the plastic really is, but I do know that California has very strict laws on displaying any potential dangers of a product. I personally would not worry about it. The poky needles should be enough to keep Ruby from chewing on them, but I would be more concerned with any decorations she can get.

Michele....I heard about your wonderful Thanksgiving. I have always thought you wore the too much makeup! :lmao: I think I have only seen you ever wear lip gloss and mascara. She's nuts. You should have told her, boy it looks like you've put on a bit of weight! ;) :lmao:

Hope everyone has a great black Friday!

Lesa, your sneaky mom!!! That must have been a weird phone call :stir:

Actually, by the time Blake and Briana got home last night I had a screaming headache...karma :sad2: Matt spent the night at Blake's sister's house.

Donna, yes Blake's sister has 3 kids. Her DS is the same age as Matt. Actually Matt is 5 weeks older, so there's been 15 years of comparisons, loads of fun  She has 2 DDs 12 and 4. The 4 year old is the worst behaved child I've ever seen. Lesa can attest to that. I'm sure the stress from her parent's marriage didn't help. Oh and thanks for the doughnuts!! Yumm!!

I haven't been out shopping yet. I have to finish Nick's room. I am removing the border that was at chair-rail height. I'm not sure yet what I am going to do with it. We put the border up years ago then nailed molding over the top and bottom edges so I used an exacto knife and cut out the border. So basically I am left with a frame with nothing in it. So we may be heading out for paint later.

Ashley, that's a great deal on the sheets!! I love good sheets. One of life's simpler pleasures is to get into a great bed isn't it :cloud9:

YM, I am jealous of your pedicure. I hear that they are great!! I've never had one. I think I will get one in Feb. before our trip. After a couple of months in shoes and boots I'm sure I will need one.

Have a great day everyone

Welcome Tink1978!!!!!

If you like everyone, you'll love it here!!!

Hi cliquers---

Well, another Thanksgiving here and gone.

Hmmm, where shall I start?? I have no idea. I swear I'm not a drama queen but lately I would even be shaking my head at my family and me. (I wish you all could hear the inflection in my voice---because this flat screen doesn't do justice)

Here's a Lyzziesmom-style quick recap of my Thanksgiving----

Wed. day= work

Wed afternoon=driving over to my mom's and found out BIL, niece and nephew all had stomach flu (remember the baby was ill last weekend) so they will not be at dinner for Thanksgiving.

Wed. night= went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and my dad's phone rings----my grandma (his mom) is being taken to the hospital. Heart problems and high fever.

I stayed over my parent's Wed. night.

Thurs. morning=awake at 4:30am but layed in bed until 5 because this was supposed to be the "official" time. Went upstairs to find my mom already busy at work for about an hour.

"Assisted" in the kitchen------no major crisis UNTIL about 3pm----we go to peel potatoes for mashing----can't find the potatoes. Look everywhere. Look in every pantry. Look in every cabinet. Look in both refrigerators. Look in both cars. All three of us looking in ALL of these places. Twice. I try to move on to plan B but wasn't welcomed.
Mom on verge of meltdown. She starts calling neighbors=a couple here, a couple there. So all in all, we ended up with a full pot of potatoes. Thank you neighbors!!!!! Of course, by the time dinner roles around the story is being told "light-heartedly". (sarcastic :goodvibes )

Please note----above situations are highlights-----can't even begin telling the details here. :thumbsup2

Sorry to vent. Whew, needed that.

Anyway, must be getting ready for work, so I'll catch up later.

p.s.---I forgot to mention---mainly because I forgot-----my cousin got a bunch of people together to go on a cruise---I was supposed to be one of those people. But, because of the time of year, I could not go with my work schedule. Anyway, they left this morning. :guilty: sigh.

Talk to you all later.

and to those attempting the shopping-----good luck with that. ;)

Happy Black Friday everyone! Just a quick check-in:

Woke up at the crack of 8am (hee!) to go shopping. Checked circuitcity.com, it said all 3 items I wanted were in stock in the store. Got there: line goes around 3.5 walls of the store!! Memory card: out of stock. Flash drive: out of stock. TV/DVD combo: "helpful" employee tells me I need to wait in line to even find out if any are available!! I said forget it, it ain't worth it. I'll come back after Xmas and get an open-box deal for less. Saw a camera similar to the one I want, did not buy it. Now I want that one more and of course it was $150 more at WalMart. Which brings me to... went to WalMart, got the memory card and flash drive at slightly higher prices than Circuit City but still great deals, and no rebates to wait for. Also got a nice leather jacket 1/2 price, I've been looking for one since the end of summer! Will look great for my date tonight. ;)

Ashley, I saw those sheets in the ad and got so excited, until I saw that it was Q/K sizes only. I have a Full. Dang. Have also been looking for a featherbed & down comforter, but I think I'll wait until the end of the season clearance sales. Must remind myself: NO SHOPPING!! (Except for the abovementioned items.)

Lyzzie gave my grandparents the tour of the house this afternoon. When she got to the living room, she said, "This is the TV room. I call it the living room, because I can't live without TV!" Too funny. The men got some Xmas lights hung up outside, we are still in need of a couple extension cords and another strand or two of icicle lights but pretty much it's done. The tree is set up & looking quite bare, I just don't have the energy to decorate it right now. Perhaps after a nap. Didn't sleep well last night, I'm trying to ease off the meds and it's not going well. I know it's bad when I dream about being in pain.

I think we are going to attempt to make the cookie tree today. I'll try to remember to take pix if my batteries are charged!

I've been having alot of fun reading all the posts and catching up.

Sounds like everyone survived Thanksgiving. :rotfl2: It was just us two mouseketeers here. I made a little turkey breast and improvised on some of the ingredients because somehow/where in the move some of my spices got thrown out or misplaced. :confused3 It was good, though. Of course, Steven's family had us down here all alone with no turkey dinner . . .  :confused3 . They think that all nine children and all 7 in-laws, and one live in girlfriend, and one live in boyfriend and nineteen grandchildren should ALWAYS come home for Thanksgiving! ~Whatever!~ I probably had a little too much wine but who's counting? I even had a little 4 inch pumpkin pie. . .perfect for two. Ashley, I'm envious. I wish I knew how to make homemade mac & cheese. We had a tray of Stouffer's mac and cheese that I heated in the oven. I figure if it's good enough for the Mouse, it's good enough for us. :rotfl: I, too, am a sheet snob! I agree, nothing nicer than a nice comfy bed and high thread sheet count plays a HUGE part in it. Great job on snagging the deals. :woohoo: You go girl!
MI mom of 3 said:
Blake, Briana and Matt are at the bowling alley with his family. I pleaded headache and had him drop me off at home. I made some Jiffy-Pop popcorn and am sitting at the kitchen table DISing. His family is just strange! His sister asked me why I was so dressed up :confused3 I had on jeans and a black turtleneck...the SAME AS HER!!! :confused3 Then she informed me that I have been wearing much more make-up lately!! WTH!!! I am so done with her. The entire time I have known her she says things like that and everyone just smiles and says "oh, that's just Kim!" She's 40 years old..GROW UP!!! Oh and she is recently divorced, OK fine. Her boyfriend of 3 years was over for dinner, fine. Except she has only been divorced for 5 months. Anyone else have a problem with that math but me???
:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Oh my goodness!! Michele, I love reading your posts. You have a great way of writing to convey a situation. :thumbsup2

Lesa:: 42 pounds of turkey???? Whoa! When shall I come over for the left overs? I'm sorry to hear about the mom thing. I haven't talked to my mother in over a year. The ball is in her court and she has chosen to not to volley back. Whatever, my life is much less hectic without all the unneeded drama. Some people think it's sad, I think my life is much more serene and calm without her in it. My sister called yesterday, crying, on the edge preparing for the disfunction which is our family to come over for dinner. I remember all too well those days. No thanks, sis, I got off that horse long ago. I know what you mean about her thinking "everything is ok now." My mom and I have had so many problems and she continues to make poor, horrible choices and be completely inappropriate. She refuses to address the issues and she shuts down and shuts you out when you try. She thinks that giving gifts, taking you on trips (these things are always on her terms) magically make everything better. It's like a merry go round that leaves your head spinning. But I am digressing all over the place. I too only speak with my dad which is a whole other issue. He's an alcoholic and that is a whole different dimension all together but I try and make it work. :grouphug: Hang in there, and know you're not alone.

lyzziesmom:: Your girls are such dolls... boats and airplanes. How cute!! I'm with Lyzzie and those chip cookies. YUM!!

2x2s:: Hang in there girl. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!

Well, I got to run. DH is waiting to watch a movie with me. Hopefully, I can check back later. I feel like there is so much and many that I'm leaving out and wanted to comment on.

You guys are the greatest!!

Hey, take a look at my ticker down below :rolleyes1
I've got to get planning. I'll tell you about this trip next time around.

Hi to everyone I don't want to leave anyone out!!!!

Hi April, good to see you back again! Sounds like you had a nice quiet holiday. 16 days till your next trip??!!? Lucky you! You are close enough to drive now, huh? Have fun watching your movie, see you again soon.

Hi, everyone!!! I'm home from work, have the leftovers eaten and doing the 2nd load of laundry!! :laundy:

Ashley:: You brave girl!!! You ventured out on Black Friday AND found some of the bargains, too!!! :thumbsup2 I love high thread-count sheets, but I hate how they always looked so wrinkled. I don't know anything about the warning on your Christmas tree, sorry. :confused3

Lesa:: Sooo... turkey sandwiches at your house tonight? :lmao: At least you had plenty and nobody went home hungry!!! :goodvibes

Michele:: Your DSIL has 3 kids, and the youngest is 4? When did she ever have the time or the energy for an affair??? :faint: I'll leave it at that. :teeth:

Welcome Tink1978!!!! Join us any time!!! :welcome:

2x2s:: Sorry to hear about your DBIL and niece and nephew being sick for Thanksgiving. My MIL was sick, too. Hope your Grandmother is doing better today.
Glad to hear you made it through your potato crisis!!! Whew!!! Were the stores closed in St. Louis? We had a few open here until about 5 or 6pm.
I know you probably hated to miss out on the cruisse with your cousins, but you'll be with us in Feb.!!!! Doesn't that make you feel better?? :teeth:

lyzziesmom:: Don't you just hate it when stores are out of the items they advertise!!! And you got up so early and all. :p
We have started to put up our lights. I expect to get most of the outside finished tomorrow.

April:: Hi there!!! Sounds like you had a nice quiet Thanksgiving in your new home. Do you live near Steven's family? I couldn't remember.
You'll have to tell us all about your December trip!! I'm sooo jealous!! :bounce: (That's me, green with envy.) Are you still in for the Feb. Cliqueless meet??? I hope so!! :thumbsup2:

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday night! :goodvibes Talk to you all later.

Hi :wave2: Well, we're about 9 hours away now but we have Allegiant air out of Greenville/Spartanburg airport which is about 30 minutes from us with flights for $29.00 each way soooo....... we'll be flying.

DonnaLeah said:

We used to live 6 miles/10 minutes away from his mom and dad when we lived in Delaware. Now we're 12 hours away. :faint: We just left on the 26th of October and we're still getting settled in and they wanted us to come back up there. Steven was actually considering it.

So, here's the 411 on our December trip. . . I'll take any and all input and suggestions you want to throw my way. And I need your opinions/advice on a few things. :hyper2:

Here's the back story. . . . . back in May (you may remember but probably don't  ) I had to have emergency surgery in Atlanta, GA. I then had close to 3 months of recovery and at that time Steven and I started getting serious/talking about relocating. So, then we started getting the house ready to sell. My big motivation silly as it sounds was a big long relaxing Disney trip. Well, then my little sis called and twisted my arm (which wasn't that hard to do) about taking a last minute trip to Disney so that we could go to MNSSHP.
icon_mickey_halloween.gif
We agreed but that was NOT going to be my Disney trip!!
nono02.gif

Well, then the house sold while we were on vacation and then we had the whole packing up/ closing/moving ordeal.

I haven't gone into detail but my move was anything but smooth and easy. A little more about that. . . my dad insisted on driving down with us to "help" us move. My dad is a devoted alcoholic. In his drunken times he has even said "Alcohol above all else even family and friends" He may have thought it was "funny" but it was soo true!! And our messed up family is living proof of it's destruction. Anyway, in my dad's later years he has all of a sudden had this epiphany that he's missed so much in our lives  I'm 32 years old now and he needs to make up for lost time. I'm trying to have a relationship with him but always being aware of what I'm dealing with. I've gone to Al-Anon meetings and I've read up on alcoholism and I must always be aware of what I'm dealing with but that's not always easy when you're living it in real life not just reading about it in a book. Anyyyhoooo, he decides he's going with us to help us move. Just to give you an idea of what that time was like. . . . when we left to move we drove until around 2am that morning. We had been up since 6 am the previous morning and we were all exhausted. Because we were only going to sleep for a few hours I just got one room. Well hindsight's 20/20 and if I had it to do all over again I would have got two rooms!! He COULDN'T go to sleep until he had put away 2 beers. To hell with us, he had to do this and we just had to deal with it. We were the unreasonable ones for expecting him to just go to sleep. Is it unreasonable for me to have a couple'a beers before turning in? ~Ah, at 2 o'clock in the morning after being up for hours? Yea, it is!! :furious:
The next day he has to stop and eat a sit down lunch so he can have a beer. Then, gets mad at me when I ask him how many is he going to have because he's not going to keep driving my car if he drinks. That was an ugly argument. Then we get down here and it was rainy and cold and the landlord didn't have the heat turned on (it's the south people and we're having 70+ degree days it was a freak cold spell) well that was just horrible. Nothing down here was good enough. . .I made a big mistake moving here. They wouldn't get away with "this" whatever "this" is up North. . . Like I care!! That's why I chose to leave "Up North"!! Then, he insists that he's going to make my dog like him. My dog likes no one. He has aggressive tendancies towards strangers. He has "personal space" issues. We are responsible dog owners and we know what our dog will and won't do. For some reason Tucker's decided that he wants his "pack" to only have three in it. ---We have him in "Dog Whisper" type classes right now and the instructor herself says we can't break this in him. It's just who he is. He was "born" with this personality and we just have to be responsible dog owners and manage him. If we ever had children we would have to have him put down but until then he's our baby. And he is a complete baby with us. He's very obedient with his commands. He won't just bite and attack someone but if you "force" yourself on him you ARE going to get bit!!---- Anyway, my dad the alcoholic decides that my dog is GOING to like him!! Even if he has to force himself on my dog my dog was going to get used to him and like him. Well, he let the dog in the house with him (he insisted) and as long as you leave Tucker alone Tucker will leave you alone. Well, my dad started getting more and more tipsy and more brave and feeding him and "making friends" with him in our home. All went well through that night. And my dad had decided that Tucker and he were friends. The next day Tucker was pinned up in our truck. My dad takes it upon himself to go over, open the door and touch the dog. The dog bit my dad. He didn't snarl or growl or go crazy, he didn't rip and tear. He just made a bite and released. Well, my dad was MAD and dying (said sarcastically) and HAD to go to the hospital (the hospital didn't do a thing but give him a shot and bandage him up and I'm not trying to be light about it) but my dad declared that my dog (whom I've had for 7 years) was a menace and is dangerous and Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!! I'm crying and bawling my eyes out uncontrollably, Steven's upset! Granted, the dog shouldn't bite anyone but how come people (i.e. my dad) feel that they need to force themselves on my dog???!!! If anyone were to come to my home, I know how my dog is so I would either have him in his kennel or in our room away from you all. If you chose to go to my dog and he bites you why is it his fault????? Well, my dad was with us for 6 days. I haven't been with my dad for that long since before he left us when I was in 5th grade! I thought I was going to have a nervous break down! Steven and I were getting into it and I know it was because of the EXTRA added stress of him. He is the sad stereotypical loud, opinionated Jersey Northerner!! I am so not like that and I just cringed when he opened his mouth. Then, I got sick and had to find a doctor and then our car died and we had the fun  job of buying a new one and it's been one thing after another down here and by this time Steven and I decided that maybe our Big Super-de-dooper Disney trip was going to have to wait for a more convenient time. But, in all of the comotion I forgot to call DVC Member Services and bank my remaining 76 points and I missed the deadline to bank 50% of my points. If you miss the deadline and you don't use your points, they expire and expired points=wasted money. :sad2:

So, I was kind of forced to use my 76 points whether I wanted to or not and before they expired on January 31, 2007. We chose to go sooner rather than later because well I like the Christmas holiday there and because of Steven's upcoming job prospects. So, now the only thing that was available for my point usage was a studio at Saratoga Springs from Tuesday, December 12th- Sunday, December 17th. That uses 75 points and because I'm at the 25% banking window I was able to bank my one point into next year giving me 151 points for 2007.

OK, if you've hung in here this long --sorry for the rant/vent--- I'm going to have 4 full days there. We'll get in around 4:00pm on Tuesday and we'll have to be at the airport at 12 noon on Sunday sooooo....... I'm trying to decide if I should go down a few days earlier or not. Of course, that will be more money all the way around. I'll pay cash for the room, more days on the car rental, longer stay for the dog and cat in the kennel and more days to buy food. That's what's stopping me. The money. But, we have the money but Steven or I haven't started our jobs yet but we don't have any debts other than our utilities and we do have the money. :woohoo: Do I just splurge and go for it or do I just be satisfied with what I'm able to have. I would like to go to MVMCP cause it is alot of fun but basically the day of the party you can't do anything because you need to rest for the long party that night. Then, the next day is spent sleeping in. I want to do the candlelight processional because I've never been able to do it because we're always there with my sisters who don't have any interest in it. But, I've always wanted to do it. I'm just stuck and I don't have much time. I've got to think quick.

So, there you have it. My preplanning of my Christmas Disney trip. And yes, I'm still thinking of joining you all in February. It will be a weekend pretty much and I've got points for my hotel stay and $29-$39 flights so party on Wayne!!

OK, I'm going to stop now becuase I could just go on and on.

Thanks for listening. :wave2:

Hey there cliquees---

I just got home from work. I had a pretty busy night considering it is the holiday. I can't tell you how many of my college girls were in this week while they are in town.

I'm glad I'm off of work though tomorrow, but it's going to be kind of touch and go with my grandma in the hospital. I found out tonight that she has pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and a bladder infection. The are heavily medicating her but she is one sick cookie. I am going to try to "sneak" in to see her tomorrow, even though I have many people telling me not to due to my whacked out immune system. How can I not go see her though??

Donna--I don't think I thanked you for the donuts this morning. So, you had to work too?? I thought I was the only one. :teeth: Sorry to hear your MIL wasn't feeling well either. I hope she is feeling better.
No, the only market opened here in St. Louis was Whole Foods (which I was shocked at even that), but they were only opened until 2pm. Of course, the potato fiasco ocurred at 3pm. I wish I would have known Illlinois had some markets open, I would've called ya. You deliver, right?? :teeth:
Yes, I actually do feel better knowing that Feb. is in the works. pirate:

April-----it is so nice to see your name pop up here again!!!!! We miss ya!!!
A quiet little Thanksgiving sounds lovely to me. I'm glad you and Steven are getting settled and were able to enjoy it. I must give you credit for being able to break away from the disfunction!!!!
You're going for Christmas?????? :cheer2: :cheer2: How did you manage that one?? You lucky ducky, you!!!! Are you still trying for the meet in Feb??

Ash----I think we must nickname you Little Martha!!!! Cooking homemade meals (including yummy mac & cheese) AND top thread -count sheets!!!! It's a good thing. I have to agree with you on the sheets though---nothing like slipping into cozy high count rather than crunchy low count. :teeth:

Lesa----GOT TURKEY????
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
once again, laughing with you!! :teeth:

Michele---how's your "headache"?? I'm sorry it really happened though. I cannot believe this girl has the nerve to comment on your clothes and makeup. Sounds like she has no room to judge---we can do the math!! ;)

Lyzziesmom---I'm cracking up at Lyzzie's living room comment!! Too cute. Did your grandparents have a good visit with the girls??
Too bad about the lines just to find out they were out of stock. Not fun. Sometimes it's worth paying just a little more rather than dealing with the hassle.
I hope you're enjoying your date tonight.
Be careful with the meds, too.

YM---how sweet of your brother!!! Enjoy your pedi!!!!!!
Be careful on the roads and talk to ya soon!!!!

Well, I'm officially Friday night pooped!! I think I'll watch a little TV and go to sleep.

Hi to everyone I missed and ........

Good night.

You're grandma is in my thoughts and prayers!! :grouphug: And I'm with you, how can you not go see her. Go see her. It will do you both good.

I must have missed Donna saying that her MIL was sick too (and I promise I read everyone since I've been back). Well wishes to your MIL, Donna. pixiedust:

A quiet little Thanksgiving sounds lovely to me. I'm glad you and Steven are getting settled and were able to enjoy it. I must give you credit for being able to break away from the disfunction!!!!
You're going for Christmas?????? :cheer2: :cheer2: How did you manage that one?? You lucky ducky, you!!!! Are you still trying for the meet in Feb??
You've got to read that incredibly l-o-n-g post above ^ (when you're not so tired) :teeth: that I posted. It explains the whole sorted story. Yup, I'm still planning the Feb. meet. After all, I've got to see who it is that I share my deep dark family secrets with. :lmao:
