Well, we had a pretty busy weekend this past weekend.
DWs parents spent the night Friday night. They had gone to an Air Supply concert and didnt want to drive back home after the show.
Saturday morning, they wanted to take us out for breakfast. And my FIL is the epitome of early to bed, early to rise. He is up and ready to go to breakfast at 6:00 a.m. Well, we get up and around and are ready to go about 8:00 a.m.
After breakfast, we take the kids to get Flu shots. They did quite well with getting the shot. Courtney resisted a little, but after the shot, she said that didnt hurt much.
Back at home, DW goes out in the yard and begins raking leaves. I watch the OU Baylor game on the tube, but eventually feel guilty for not helping so I go rake with her. We only raked the leaves in the front of the yard, but still managed to fill up about 20 30 bags full .
After raking and bagging the leaves, we decide to go eat and go to the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration and Fireworks they have downtown Tulsa. We go eat at you guessed it Teds. It was funny, as we were driving toward town, I ask the question Where do you guys want to eat? and the immediate response came from Courtney Teds!
After dinner, we go park downtown and walk over and find us a good place to watch the fireworks show. It was great. Afterward, DW remarks how these fireworks were very similar to the fireworks shows that Disney puts on. Ill have to do some digging to see if maybe the same company does both fireworks shows.
Sunday, we went out and did a little Christmas shopping. Went to Circuit City, Target, and a couple other places. Came back home and I made Chicken Spaghetti for dinner. After dinner we watched a nearly 70 year old movie on DVD. The kids were mesmerized by this masterpiece of a movie. The movie? Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Yeah, weve seen it before, but we havent watched it in awhile. Still amazing that this movie was made in 1937.
