Thanks for reminding me about Nick's catechism. I will do that as soon as I'm done here...really. ;)

School went well. The teacher in charge is the 8th gr science teacher, he is also the HS varsity football coach so he doesn't put up with much :cheer2: One of the 6th graders tried to refuse to throw his garbage away at lunch. He had to stay after and help the custodian clean the whole cafe before the next lunch. I'll bet he throws his stuff away next time :rotfl:

Pozey...I love the story about Courtney's clothes. I would have just gone shopping. I did basically the same thing about 10 years ago. I forgot all of Blake's shirts. He doesn't wear Disney clothes. Well that year he did ;)

It's raining here. Matt just called from football practice and asked me to bring him a sweatshirt. When I dropped it off he showed me a note he had 'forged' from the doctor saying he can start practicing. Does anyone remember 'Welcome Back Kotter"? Epstein always had these fake note for everything and they were all signed "Epstein's mother" That is what this note looked like. I just laughed...there's no way they are going to fall for it.

I have to go shopping. Tomorrow is our 20th anniversary and I haven't gotten Blake anything yet. The problem is I can't think of anything. I know there is a golf club he wants but I don't know which one. I'll just wander the mall until a brilliant idea occurs to me. If I'm not back by tomorrow someone come looking OK? :p

Happy 20th Anniversary...eve :teeth: :cheer2: that is awesome!!! I'm sure he'd like a club...or something hockey related? men and their sports :cool1: sounds like your sons get it honest!!

pozey... dads grocery list..that's cute! great he's so ambitious so young :smooth:

ahhh you guys have me hungry for DISNEY food....oh yeah...I forgot to tell you guys....remember that deal we had about going every OTHER year...well last night Mike said we could go as often as he could afford :rotfl2: guess we'll be moving soon :lmao: I WISH!!! but in other words...I think we'll be going more often :woohoo: I'm so excited party:

Michele - the story about the forged Dr.'s note!! :rotfl2: Loved it. He must really be desperate to play some football. Oh, what these kids'll do....
At least your day went well, and I agree - sounds like that one kid will throw out his garbage in the future! Good luck on the anniv gift - my DH wanted the same thing for his birthday, but I couldn't remember which club either, so I got him a g/c for the store he found it at - it covered most of the price. Happy Anniversary! :thumbsup2 (thumb)
And yes, I remember Epstein's notes on Kotter! :rotfl:

Pozey - loved the clothes story! I think I would have just shopped. I mean, for what it cost to ship her clothes there, might as well. And think of how much more fun it would've been for Courtney. And kudos to your son for being so creative and proactive in his quest for student council president!

YM - the parent's meeting went well. I'm guessing there were parents for maybe 10 kids there, and this encompassed the entire vocal music program - over 130 kids. aaarrggh!

Good news for you, Linda, for getting to go more often!!

I just hate those Disney withdrawls you go through when it's been a while since you've been there. (like a week) :teeth:

That's exactly what it means - but a big, fat MAYBE is the right word. The information is gathered, now I just need to put it together in a nice, professional, convincing email to him. It certainly wouldn't be a cheap trip for any of the kids, but that's what fund-raising (I hate fund-raising...) is for. I figure it'll cost from around $650 per student/parent on up. I'd put 'em all up in DVC rooms and save that cost, but I don't have enough points!

Quick question:

Anybody know where to get that buy 1, get 1 free coupon for a sudae at Ghiradelli's? I used to have the link and I can't find it..I went on the website and no luck..

And another :sunny: I'm confused. Do you put undeveloped film in your carry on or in your checked baggage? I'm confused! I have my new digital packed, but I'm also bring my 35mm and a bunch of film! I'm carrying on both cameras on the plane but I'm not sure about the film.

Hi everyone!

It's nice to have my computer fixed!

Linda- Kenny kissed a girl!!!!!! ooooohhhhh!!! Yay that you get to work from home even if it is only once a week! Love the pictures of the office and Kenny!

Michele- Happy anniversary!

Pozey- Your story is so funny about Courtney!

Lyzziesmom- Great pics! I can't wait for the full trip report! :teeth:

Dznyfan- I hope you can get Erin and the choir into the CP! It is truly an amazing experience! I love listening to the cd!

Ash- I think you need to sign up for their newsletter, when you are asked to enter in your birthday enter in a date really soon. You should get one soon after that.

I am feeling fine, just really tired, but I need to stay up to watch Dancing with the stars!

Where is the Tink in my siggy???????????????? :( :( :( Well if it is gone for good maybe I'll put a pic from my trip in there.

hmmm a daughter of one of my co-workers had a great fund raiser...selling pampered chef :cool1: ... I always buy from all the kids but I really like when it is something I actually like and will use!! Guess we better start having some car washes before it gets too cold :)!!!That would be so awesome!!GOOD LUCK!!

wow Ashley its been so long since I've traveled w/film....but I think you put it in your checked luggage. I know I was worried when we went on my 1st cruise...in 00' I was worried about the film but never had any problems at all... good luck! getting ready to pack :woohoo: !!!

Nicole, You're right... Tink is gone :( can't wait to see pix from your trip  !!! Mike pretended to call the principal on him :lmao: he was totally paranoid last night...asking me if there was any way I could send him a message to tell him he's sooooo sorry and he'll never do it again :rotfl: !!! So cute!!!! I had to tell him he didn't really call ...I didn't want the poor child up all night worried to death!

Nicole,
I still see the tink in your signature! :confused3

Linda,
Thats where I'm confused. One website says to put it in your checked baggage, the other says bring it on your carry on.

see if this works...I just did a search "packing film" I got several threads but thought I'd see if I could copy one here... good luck!

ohhh...I see you're about at SINGLE DIGITS  :woohoo:

I heard that the x-ray machines that they use for checked luggage are really powerful and WILL damage film. You should put it in your carryon. Take it out of the canisters and have them all in a ziploc bag so you can take them out and have the security people hand check it. That should keep it safe. 10 days!!! How exciting!!!

Thanks for your help guys! I am alittle nervous though, what do I say to the security officers? I don't want them to freak out and cause attention to me. So take the flim out of the box and just keep it in those canisters they come in, or leave those at home and just use a plastic baggie?

ETA: I just found this on the TSA website

Are you traveling with undeveloped film?
Pack undeveloped film in your carry-on bag, not your checked baggage; the equipment used to screen checked baggage will damage undeveloped film. You may request that high-speed and specialty film be inspected by hand at the security checkpoint. To facilitate hand-inspection, remove your undeveloped film from the canister and pack it in a clear plastic bag.

Ashley, you must have been typing while I was posting ;) Check what I posted

Hi!! :wave2:
Ashley:: I had always heard to have the film hand inspected. The SWA website actually says to put it in your checked luggage. :confused3

DznyFan::Say the word and we'll plan a trip for next Christmas too!!! That would be great to have your DD involved in the Candlelight Processional!!

Michele::Did Matt already show the note to his coach or was he wanting your approval? Poor kid, he wants to play so bad!! The note is funny, but kind of heartbreaking, too.(At least to this old softy)
Oh, in case I forget Happy 20th Anniversary tomorrow!!! :bride: :groom:

2x2s::I made breakfast with you in mind!! :goodvibes I really didn't want to throw an instant breakfast at you!! Maybe tomorrow! :teeth:

pozey::That's so great about your DS wanting to run for Student Council. It's a good thing when students want to get involved!!! :thumbsup2
Too funny about Courtney's wardrobe!!! If your DW is anything like my sis was about her daughters clothes, she had a special outfit picked out for every day!! princess:

Linda::Super news about the Disney trips. My DH is always saying we will skip a year, but deep down I think he knows that ain't gonna' happen!! :rotfl2:

Ashley, mentally delete what I just posted!!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Hey Donna...I'm here but I've had to get up a zillions times. First I needed a snack...then a coke to wash the snack down. The coke made me chilly so I had to find something warm to wear. Something warm to wear reminded me of my flannel mickey mouse PJ's. Putting on my MM PJ's remined me that I needed to get back to the DIS board.... :rotfl: Trying my version...."If you give a pig a pancake...or mouse a cookie...etc". What do you think...should I start writing childrens books. :rotfl2: I know what you guys are thinking.....learn to spell. :smokin:

MM flannel PJ's huh? I had to wear my jeans this evening for the first time since May. :sad2:
You could write a book for us Disboard junkies, I think we could all relate!!! :rotfl2:

He guy and gals...

Dznyfan...what a good mommy you are. What a neat idea. Hopefully you can get some more parents at your meetings. I see Donna has us another trip in the works to come see your DD at the CP.

Pozey...how cool that your DS is interested and motivated to run for student council. I bet his dad can help him with a funny line or two. :rolleyes1

Hey Pozey and Dznyfan...the weather was sooooooo nice today. It's a little early for such cool temps. Do you or your kids have allergies. Mine do and my oldest is really having a time right now.

Ashley...that film stuff sounds as clear as mud. You could buy your film when you get there and then develop it before you leave. That's pretty silly and I'm sure not the most economical. Hey, I guess your computer is cooperating tonight?

Linda...so I guess Kenny will not be kissing anymore girls at shcool. :rolleyes1

Nicole glad you are doing well. Not long for your big trip. :woohoo:

MI mom...I must confess I didn't watch that tv show...but I started thinking about a kids book...Henry Huggins (Beverly Cleary) where he tries to type a note to his teacher to excuz him from the christmas program. :rotfl:

Well, since I was queen of hoots last night...only to be ousted by you know who :rolleyes1 princess: I must turn in early tonight!
