wow...hope you're all having a great holiday weekend. I've worked a lot of it so far ...but I think I've done about all I can do for now. Boy, I missed a lot of chatting too...darn! Well, Mike has been on the couch a lot not feeling well and Kenny is taking a nap...at least I did talk him into going to Outback last night... yum!! Congrats on the post's guys!! yes we do need to get a trip planned... that would be so much fun!! Now to see if I could talk Mike into going!! That every other year agreement ... hmmm...2x2s..do you like Test Track? Kenny loves it and will hold your hand !! He compares everything to it..is it as fast as test track? Is is more scary than test track? as much fun as test track crazy kid!! well, you all have a great holiday! Donna, love Nathans b-day choice! As you can tell, these took me all morning and part of the afternoon to prepare. And, as you can see in the background I even whipped up some Tonga Toast as well. Thanks for your pancakes, too---they hit the spot as I was chopping up the pineapple.

This is funny because I made ADR's at Kona for breakfast on our first day just because I knew my dad would love the Pineapple Macadamia pancakes--even though we have never had them. Of course, I must try the Tonga Toast. So, on Sat. Oct. 14 this is exactly where we will be dining!!


Good Morning Ashley----did you sleep well after the late night?? What's Miss Ruby up to today??


Linda---WHAT?? Working on the holiday weekend?? Poo-poo on that!!

Let's see--how do I sheepishly admit this??--I will just have to come right out and say it----I have never been on Test Track. WHAT --who's calling me out?? Let me explain before your eyes pop out of your head in amazement. The times that I have been there it has seriously been down due to mechanical problems or rain---that's the truth--really. So, it is on the TOP of my priority list in October. I will be thinking of Kenny when I do and I am sure I will be wishing he was there to hold my hand!! P.S.--- Umm Kenny--is it that scary??

Hope Mike is feeling better today. You guys need to go out and have some fun--aka--STOP working!!

My boys just left for a bike ride with DH. I'm sitting here stiff as a board...I just can't get my back and neck to loosen up. Ok...there's my whine for the day...maybe some real wine would help. I picked the big gulp.

Linda...hope your DH is feeling better...I can really sympathize with him.

Ok...girls how many nights for our trip and which nights? I'm thinking at least four nights....like fri-mon or sat-tues.

What were ou thinking!! Actually we had kind of agreed to skip '07 as well.
Hope Mike gets to feeling better. And yes, we're having a Pirate Party. I tried to talk Nathan into CARS, but couldn't sell him on the idea!!

2xcited::Where did you find the time to make those scrumptious pancakes. I looked all over for the recipe, I guess I misplaced it!! Kona for breakfast on the 14th. Sounds like a plan. IF I get to go on a girls trip, we MUST eat there!!!!!
In all the years Test Track has been open, I think we have only ridden it once. The FP line took us 30 min. in May '04. Seems to always be having "technical difficulties". But, I would ride it with you guys!!

YourMajesty::A burger for breakfast. May I ask how you managed that one. Did you grill them out, eat one at a restaurant or were they leftovers? Inquiring minds want to know!!!
I was thinking the same thing about the trip days!! In my mind I'm thinking leaving on Fri. afternoon/early evening. I would probably have to be flying back on Monday.(Possibly squeeze in Tues. departure.) You guys kind of plan. If I have to fly by myself down or back...well, I would just make it work!!
And what were you thinking in the way of hotels? I have my ideas/opinions, but want to hear all of your thoughts first!

hey chicklettes and chickdude,


Today has been a non-productive day--expect for making the pancakes and T. toast, I presume. I have been sleeping on and off all day----sshhhh, don't tell anyone. My energy level is at a all-time low right now. I suppose my day yesterday wore me out, even though it was a social gathering. I was around little ones yesterday and as I was leaving last night my cousin's daughter was getting sick in the one bedroom all over the bed. Enough said. yuck. Anyway, with my immune system the way it is, well, I am wiped out.


So, as far as our potential WDW field trip--here's what I know-----

When I went last Feb. I left on Friday morning Feb. 3, which brought me into Orlando at about 11ish. By the time I took ME and checked in it was close to 12:00-1pm. I got to play the rest of that day and all weekend. I then returned to the airport on Tues. Feb. 7 for a 5pm something flight and got home around 8pm.
I do remember when I was planning that they said that Presidents' weekend which is the following weekend, I believe, can get a bit crowded so the first weekend in Feb. was perfect. The weather was good. I pretty much lived in jeans and t-shirts/sweaters, I think. It did rain one day but I pulled my hair back in a pony and threw on a Mickey cap.

As far as hotels go---I just figured we would stay wherever we wanted and just meet up according to what we have planned?? Any other suggestions?? Whatever you guys want to do--I'm easy.




YM---sorry you are hurting today. At first I read your post as if it said you are bored stiff not stiff as a bored. Dyslexic sometimes, I'll tell you. Burger, huh?? Anything like Beaches and Cream?? (although I haven't eated here in years) We have a place here in St. Louis called the Fatted Calf---OMG---sinful. To me, no burger can compare. I don't allow myself very often, but now I'm hungry. Good thing they are closed on Sunday.

GUESS WHAT! I was just talking to Jeremiah and he said he would have no problem with me going to Disney next year for the meet!!! I would probably be scared though, I've never been anywhere by myself!!! I don't know where I'd stay...BOY, that is scary too, I've never even stayed in a hotel by myself!!!

2xcited, Miss Ruby is just fine today!! Thanks for the pancakes too. I've never eaten at Kona, but I really want to. Maybe for our trip???

Donna, Oh boy, you caught me. I was out shopping, but I only got 3 bracelets. OH, we also went to Target and got some stuff... OH, and we went to Ross and I got a new suitcase because when I was in FL a few weeks ago my mom's cat peed on mine, and we got a camera holder! It's really awesome, I'm excited because there are 2 places to hold a camera and I wanted to bring my 35mm and my digital.

YM, The sun hasn't come out yet, but atleast it stopped raining!! That rain was the worst. oh btw, I think 4 nights sounds perfect!!!

Jeremiah wants to go to a movie now, but I hate going to them....

Ashley----Jeremiah sounds like such a sweetie. Maybe he can talk to Donna's DH and tell him it will all be okay.
Don't worry about staying in a hotel alone. It's not bad. Maybe if enough of us go you can get adjoining rooms with someone or something like that. It will all work out.
How exciting that we are talking about a meet!!!!
