Pozey - so the fair was busy this weekend - I guess with the awesome weather it brought everyone out.
It was extremely busy. Took us an hour just to park. If we go back, we are going to take the shuttle bus.

Nothing exciting here, Saturday day spent cleaning/laundering/reading Plum #7. Spent Sat night at the lake then came home yesterday afternoon and watched football. I really was pretty lazy this weekend. We should have our place at the lake set up and ready to go in about 2 - 3 more weeks! :woohoo:
Sounds like a good Sunday afternoon! I bet you are excited about having your place at the lake set up! Just in time for the temps to cool down and the leaves to start changing colors. Hopefully, all our trees around here don't lose their leaves too early because of how hot and dry it has been lately.

Now, I will say Hi to our night "owls". :sunny:

YourMajesty::I hope your MRI goes well today. It was rather warm here yesterday; close to 80 I believe, but perfect!!!!

Lesa:: That is too strange about the woman that had the baby for 46 years!!
Was this on the Discovery channel? My sister is constantly watching the one about strange tales of the ER, or whatever! I just don't have the stomach to watch a lot of that stuff. In high school I passed out during the movies about childbirth..and it was only a cartoon!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:
I almost forgot!!
Congrats on 1000 posts!!!! :cheer2: party: :rockband: party:

Hi Michele!!!!! :wave2:

Thanks Donna...the MRI went fine. It only took about 20 minutes. They wanted me there 20 minutes early but that translated to 5 minutes for me...opps. :teeth: So I quickly filled my paper out and they called me back, gave me some headphones that played music and got down to business...now just waiting for the results...that's another deal :hourglass

Hey are you my twin. I can't watch any of that ER/plasctic surgery...etc stuff. Barf. :scared: :faint:

Lesa...I saw that post count last night and thought I missed the party. Way to go girl...and no frosty over the weekend too. :woohoo: :Pinkbounc  :yay: :cheer2: :dance3: party: :dancer:

just wanted to drop in and say :wave2: ... been so busy and couldn't get on last night...kept giving me the "can not find" error :sad2: ...

Congrats Lesa :cheer2:  :cheer2:

YM :grouphug: good luck w/your MRI results pixiedust:

Good morning, cliqueless!

Donna - those pancakes look wonderful - thanks!

Michele - so good to hear Blake got back, and I really loved the pics of the kids.

Lesa - congratulations on 1,000! :woohoo: :dance3: party:

YM - it was a little hot this weekend, wasn't it? I guess it is supposed to stay that way all week. What stinks is that the pool water has cooled way off again, but the daytime temp is hot enough that it looks inviting. Until you freeze your bootie off when you try and get in....

Hi to everybody - Lyzziesmom, April, Ashley, Amber, Linzeybrooke, 2x2s, Jill, Linda, Kim, and anybody else I missed.

Hey Dznyfan.... :woohoo: great about the lake! That will be fun in the winter...sneak away and have a campfire. :Pinkbounc Hopefully we WILL NOT have a burn ban all winter. This weather is crazy but what's new. :teeth: I love the fall/spring process of clothing around here. Last week we are digging out long selves and jackets...buying new pants for the boys. This week I have to hide everything so they will not burn up....94 today..... :sunny: Plus, the south wind...I'm praying for no fires like last fall.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday. I'm off to help my neighbor plan her Thanksgiving trip(yes 06). :teeth:

Hi Linda

Thanks, I'm hoping for a big fat negative on a rotator cuff tear. :Pinkbounc
I'm already thinking no matter what the results I'm picking the most conservative treatment. :teeth:

You speak the truth!! Just last Wednesday or Thursday, we were digging through the closets trying to find jeans that fit the boys. Now the weather people are talking about coming close to record high temperatures.

Plus, we need rain or they are going to bring back the burn ban!

I threw a few more resumes out there this morning, and I've gotten a couple nibbles including an interview on Wednesday. That's the same day I go to court for Emma's name change, so I only have to break out the nice suit once! It's encouraging to know there are possiblities, just in case. I'm not getting the greatest feeling about things here today, but I could just be a little paranoid. Can ya blame me??

YM, hope the MRI results are good.

Gotta run, just wanted to check in and say a great big HOWDY to everyone!!

God knows we don't WANT a burn ban! Last December, we were in Orlando over the Christmas week, and we were watching all the fires going on HERE while we were out there, soaking in the surrealism of 80 degree temps and Christmas music, and Palm trees and Pointsettia planted together. It was sad watching OK burn away - on the news halfway across the country. I really hope we don't have another of those dry, warm winters.

Just a quick pop-in with good news.!!! I found Matt's ring. The one he got at WDW with his initials on it, that I thought I lost after football last week.

Whoo hoo!!! I was taking Nick and some other neighbor kids to catechism this afternoon and one of the boys out of the blue hands me the ring and says 'here'

I have looked there many times since then, don't know how I missed it. My mom says we found it since we were on our way to church. Ok, whatever, I'll go with that.

Matt will be sooo excited when I pick him up later.

Lyzziesmom...good luck in the job hunt!

YM ...good luck with the MRI.

Hi everyone else  :wave2:

Michele, that's great news about Matt's ring!

I have good news too, besides the interview... I got an extra bag of Doritos from the vending machine. So this is turning out to be a pretty decent Monday after all.

Excellent News!

Well, I get a call from Courtney's daycare around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. She was running a fever.

Some back info...
Last Friday, her daycare called and said she was not feeling well. So, I went and picked her up. She went with me as I took both boys to Swim Team Practice. She started getting really hot while we were there, so I called DW and told her she needed to come get the boys after practice, because I was taking Courtney to the doctor.

We see the doctor and she says Courtney just has some kind of viral something. Says to just give her Tylonol or Advil and rest.

Courts had a little bit of a fever Saturday, but she was seemingly back to her normal self yesterday. Never ran a fever.

Now it's back today.

Oh! Just noticed!! I just went over 1000 posts!! Cool! :cool1:

Jill, I went to Keiser and graduated from there for Computer Graphics! Do they still do that there? I was in the first class to graduate from the Graphics program, I think there were about 6 of us. I loved that school! I wish I could find something similar here in Kansas City, but all the schools here are either not as specific or waaaaay to expensive.

Its a smalll world after all (sorry just had to say it) That is too funny. They still do have that prgram and many others. They have expanded ALOT! Just about everything they offer a 2 yr in they also have for bachelors and they are offering masters programs. I will (unless we move) get my bachelors in nursing from there and by the time my class graduates they will have a masters program. It really is a great school and better than FAU (imo). I like it alot. The class sizes are kept small (of course tuition is larger than a state school) about 15 kids per class max! As of next year they will be Keiser University, just to give you an idea as to how much they have grown.

I know what you mean by wanting to find a school like Keiser. There is one I think I found in Minneapoli that doesnt seem exactly like Keiser but very similar.

YM - I hope it isnt a rotater cuff I'll cross my fingers for something that will be easy to correct.

Pozey - I hope Courtney starts to feel better :flower3: . Maybe its the heat I know Im sick of it ::yes::  :teeth:

Lyzziesmom - yea an interview!!!!!! and large doritos!!!!!! Is it a company that seems like a good prospect to you? Knock em dead ;)

Lesa & Pozey :dance3: :bounce: :Pinkbounc  :yay: 1000 posts! You are oficially addicted :teeth:

Dznyfan - thats exciting that soon your weekend getaway will be complete :goodvibes

Michele - You found it! thats great!!

It seems like a good place. The position I applied for actually turned out to be part time with no benefits, oops. But she emailed me within 10 minutes of submitting my resume to tell me that, and said they have another full time position that I'd be good for. It seems good, so I said I'll give it a shot. The pay is comparable to what I'm getting now, not more but maybe the benefits will be better? The benefits where I am now recently changed and man do they suck. The interview is at a nonprofit place that does fundraising for a certain medical condition. I will divulge more if it goes well. The funny part is, one of the ladies who will interview me used to work where I work now, she quit I think the same week I was hired. (Different job) I bet that's what got her attention on my resume! I figure even if it isn't great, it'll be good practice for interviewing, and I can negotiate a bit more than I would if I was desperate for a job.

My boss still tells me not to worry, but I am seeing little things that tell me otherwise. I won't go into detail, but I think I'm doing the right thing. Then again, they don't call me the Queen of Bad Decisions for nothing!

1000 posts.... don't you guys have anything better to do?? j/k.... :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm not so far behind

Jill, I was thinking the small world song too! I can't believe the school has grown that much. When I went there, nobody had heard of it and there were many kaiser roll jokes. Are they still in an office building downtown or have they moved? It used to be so weird, we'd have lunch in the deli that was in the building with all the businessmen & women. It doesn't seem like it was so long ago, but it was 1995. I guess that is kind of a long time ago. Dang, I'm gettin' old.

Hey chicas!

Just a quick pop in. I'm up on the computer helping Colton with an assignment. The PTA is having a contest called Reflections. It is an Art/Music/Literature type contest. Last year, Colton's picture he drew won 1st in school, 1st in district, and placed in state.

This year he wants to do both Art and Literature.

This year's theme: My Favorite Place. :cool1:

hmmmmm......wonder where that would be??

So, he already wrote his literature piece. It's very good. I'm helping him print it out on the computer.

He already has a design in mind for his art piece as well. He wants to draw Cinderella Castle in the middle of the poster, and then surround it with the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, and Sorcerer Mickey Hat.

Anyway, he's still thinking of all the things he is going to say about why he LOVES Walt Disney World so much.

pozey, that is SO cute about Colton's favorite place! I hope he wins the contest, it sounds like he has a good chance. He seems like a little go-getter, with all this contest winning and class president winning.

Hope Courtney feels better. It's always so hard when little ones are sick.
