Most jobs seem like drudgery and end up being pretty monotonous for the most part IMO. Of course, everyone's idea of fun will vary but who here really enjoys their job?

Just curious. :)

:wave2: come on thenew york city pays me to run red lights.

running red lights does sound fun

hmmm i get paid to watch little kids...not always fun...I do get paid to sing infront of people...and every so ofter kiss hot guys..but for those shows i dont get paid....

i work in theater!

I love my job! i do telephone triage for a pediatric facility. Parents call me night and day to tell me about their sick or injured children, and 90% of the time it's something i can make a decision on(give meds, ice it, go to ED,etc.) i love it when I can offer something as simple as a popsicle and Advil, and an hour later the parent reports it's a miracle--their child is playing again! And I love it when I pick up on something the parents didn't realize was a bad thing and I can intervene to make things better. I really love it when I find out later that my decisions saved a child's life!

Some people would say I have a terrible job. I hear tales of accidental poisonings, suicidal children, terrible injuries, and illnesses like cancer and heart disease. I get blown off my doctors because i'm "just a nurse". I have to deliver terrible news of suspected child abuse to social workers. I work when I should be sleeping. But I figure that's when the kids and parents need me the most. So I gladly roll out of bed(or never go to bed!) and get on the phone to take calls,to hear a new story from a new family every 6min, and to make life-affecting decisions for the good of the children.

I love my job :woohoo:

I love the idea of running red lights for a living! :)

Singing is cool and taking care of little kids can be up to a point. Ok, that's fun.

minkydog, the best part of your job is that you're helping people IMO. That can be so gratifying. Actually, the few who have posted are helping people in their own ways. This might be a trend....

I really enjoy my job. I recruit and train foster and adoptive families and do a few home studies as needed. I work out of three counties so I get to interact with lots of different workers and supervisors and meet a new group of prospective foster parents to train every 9 wks. Recruiting involves making presentations about the need for foster and adoptive parents at various groups, like church groups, civic groups, PTA's, etc. The only down side is that it does involve nights and weekends because you have to train when people aren't at work. I used to do case management for the kids in foster care and I wouldn't trade back for double my salary. This job is fun and so not stressful.

I am a systems admin in IT and when I am not on call at 12:30 in the morning and dealing with dead servers, my job can be challenging (never boring) and sometimes very fun. Always something new to learn ya know!

I help deliver babies - some people dont' think that's fun...but I do :goodvibes It's very long hours sometimes - but well worth it in the end.

I love my job. I'm a 'bean counter' and do accounting at the University of NE. I even prefer weekday to weekends! The only other place I would rather be is a WDW. It's too bad anyone has to dislike their job.

I LOVE my job as school lunchroom manager!! Yes there are lots of stresses and LOTS of back breaking days and it gets very hot during certain times of the year but I love when a kid learns to eat something new or tells me something was so good they want me to call their mom to teach her how to make something. I like that teachers from other schools come to to my schol to eat because they heard the food was so good!! I love that the Superintendent comes to my school to eat and I love it when parents trust me to make sure their allergy ridden child is taken care of and thank me for taking one worry off of their mind.

:lmao: I love my job (most days) :rotfl2: I am a middle school :teacher: Some days I'd rather stay in bed, but most days are pretty wonderful. Don't know what else I'd want to do. :confused3

I sell cruises and vacations so I get to plan and live vicariously through other people even when I am not going anyplace!! :thumbsup2

I teach third grade and I love my job! I get to play games during indoor recess!

I LOVE my job... I'm a massage therapist. I work at a spa and it's wonderful. We get to swap services so when it's a slow day I can get a facial, get my hair done or take a nap :teeth: . It's great!!!

I think I have a great setup. I get to go to DTD and theme parks on a regular basis to shop for things for other people. I get to call it work!
