Is it worth the $$$? Will it fit the princesses that change their clothes (the little ones with the rubber like dresses)? I am thinking about buying it for my 4 year old.

if your taking about the one from WDW we have it... and I HATE it. WAY to many pieces to add on to make it look like the castle. I understand the bushes and the figures but stair cases and pillars? not kid friendly!

We have it and my 6 year old daughter loves it! She has no problem at all putting it together. Yes, the little Princesses will work with it. :)

Same here - my 5 year old twins play with this set all the time. We also have the Princesses you are asking about as well.

my 5 year old has it and loves it, if your child is into polly pockets, or playing with small figures and make believe, I think she would like it. We played it up to her that it was from the Magic Kingdom which makes it even more special to her. It's not what I would call 'high quality', but it's decent. She plays with it frequently. The boys are getting the monorail, contemporary, and space ship earth for Christmas so we can build our own WDW. I think it will be fun for us to all play with the sets together.

(I'm talking about the one from the MK, I'm thinking you may be referring to the new one I'm seeing in commercials, that looks cool too, of course DD wants that one too)

and, to answer your questions about the polly pocket sized princesses fitting in it, they will be a little out of scale, but she could still pretend and use them with it.

Yes, I'm talking about the one from MK...if it will fit her other princess toys I think I will get it.

just look at the other one (have you seen it?) that is being shown in commercials that looks like it can be found at stores like Target, it is newer, maybe not 'Disney princess', I can't recall, but it would be worth checking out. The one from WDW comes in a really big box and makes for a fun present to open. If your daughter has been to the MK and has seen them in the stores, it makes it extra special. You may also consider waiting to buy it on your next trip for a souvenir if you have other ideas for her Christmas gifts.

Personally, I was a bit disappointed in it. I thought the quality wasn't great and the castle was too small. (We also have the Loving Family dollhouse- and there is really no comparison). However, although that is my opinion, DD plays with it all the time and loves the little people that came with it, so from that perspective, it was worth the money.

My 5 yr old has been begging since last time we went to Disney for this and I just ordered it.

My girls love it and have been playing with it for over a year now and still like it.

We bought it 2 years ago at MK and my girls ( ages 3and 5) still play with it all the time. They love it. There are a LOT of pieces (it should probably come with instructions- they are still finding new things about it.) I reccomend a shoe box to keep all of the parts in. It has held up well. I think it fits the clothes changes princesses for the most part.

My 3-1/2 year old daughter has it - her 1 souvenir from our trip in Sept. She absolutely loves it. I echo the previous comments that it has a lot of small pieces, and some instructions would have been nice, because there is some assembly required. Having said that, she will spend hours in her bedroom playing with it. When she went to bed last night, the princess were all standing by the turrets waiting for their respective princes to come. It is really wonderful for imaginative play. No regrets at all.

We bought it last January and I was not happy with it. The quality is poor. One set of doors wouldn't open, the Beast is not assembled correctly and a leg broke off the Mickey topiary within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box. I called and complained and Disney was accomodating and helpful but the new castle they sent was in the same condition as the first. My 2 year old likes it, but not enough to justify the cost.

I bought it for my niece 2 years ago and she still loves it. She is almost 4 now. I'm told it is still one of her favorite toys to play with.

I agree the quality isn't great, but the kids don't really care about the quality. It's us parents that think about that kind of stuff because we are the ones that pay for it. From my daughter's perspective it is a wonderful toy. She loves her castle! We have Cinderella castle, Sleeping Beauty castle from Disneyland, the Epcot "ball" (spaceship earth) and the Animal Kingdom Tree of Life set up all together with the monorail going around them. My daughter could play "Disney World" forever. We use one of those small tupperware totes with a lid to keep all the pieces and parts in.

We also bought a Cinderella Castle on one trip for our niece as a birthday present and she really loves it too!

We bought this for DD on our first visit in October 2007 and now at almost 9 years old she still plays with it! It does have a lot of pieces but we just have a little plastic box that they are stored in.

We had it shipped on our first day of the trip and we thought it would be there when we got home but it took about another week. Everyday DD waited anxiously for the UPS truck to drop off her castle! It was super cute :cutie:

We got this for dd last Christmas. Yes, it does have a lot of pieces. The construction of it is okay. She doesn't really care about any of that and plays with it often :) It's pretty easy to contain all the stuff it comes with, we just put it in a gallon sized ziploc bag.
