Who has the best prices for basic grocery Winn-Dixie or Publix or who?

Publix. They always have better prices than WD. I only shop at WD for their weekly meal deal, and that's only if I decide I will eat EVERYTHING that is included in the deal, because otherwise it isn't a deal! But yes, please shop at Publix. You will not be disappointed!

I'd shop at Publix. Even if Winn Dixie is a little cheaper it's not worth it. Publix has great customer service. Their bakery is also wonderful.

I too choose Publix over Winn Dixie. The stores are cleaner and the customer service is the best. They have great BOGO sales.

Well, I was going to say that prices are just about the same. I shop both for their sales. Both have great stores where I live.

BUT...check out Iheartpublix.com for the sale and coupon matchups before you go. Print what you can at home so you can get the deals. She publishes the new add for the week on Monday or Tuesday. I forget which. But love her! I like Passionatepennypincher.com too.

If you are talking strictly price, WalMart Superstore has the lowest.
Zero customer service, not the neatest or most organized, you might find somebody's trash in your shopping cart, etc.
Cheap? Yes.

I do the bulk of my shopping at Winn Dixie (the B1G1 free deals on their london broils, chicken thighs, & boneless skinless chicken breasts can't be beat. They're even cheaper than Costco sometimes) because their rewards program really does help you save and you get gas rewards for shopping which is great! But I do go to Publix to get my cold cuts because I don't like the Winn Dixie deli.

I split my shopping now between Costco (when we do a big meat purchase, usually every 2 months), Winn Dixie for most everything else, Publix for the deli & bakery stuff, and Aldi for certain sale items.

Don't forget the long lines at Walmart, even at 3am. You'd be surprised at the number of young children in the store wide awake in the middle of the night.

Publix is the way to go, and there's several locations, so it's pretty easy to find one near by. Their produce, meat, deli, and bakery departments all look clean and fresh. They're also one of the few stores that had no problems saying they don't use pink slim in their ground beef.

Ohh, and try the mountain bread sold in the bakery. It's the best thing ever.
